The primary word in starting her business: "lucky".

I heard lucky, but I also heard organization, risk-taking, discipline, drive, and creative approaches to overcoming obstacles.

$5,800 today, which is enough to hit the ground running.

Actually $3000 today if it was 40 years ago, and 2000 if it was 30 years ago. So all in all not a huge difference with today's value.

Rachael Ray, please back off and let your guests talk. Who cares about the food you serve in the back room, we are trying to listen to Barbara Cochran. Sorry but she is rude and obnoxious, just sit down and be quiet lady. This is exactly why I don’t way h her show!

You know what, Toby? When the son of the deposed king of Nigeria emails you directly, asking for help, you help! His father ran the freaking country, okay? ...Alright, so, raise your hand if you wanna get rich.

No its not. What she meant is that when her employe made an extra 480$ for the compagnie she would use that 480$ to hire a new person. It's only pyramidal in the way that she hires more people based on the profit her employees make for her. So more money, more employees who make more money to hire more employees, etc... Hey employees don't make money hiring themselves new people. So it's not a pyramid scheme. She played legit!

@@nouradrouin that's exactly how a pyramid scheme works. Sorry.
