Her investments on Shark Tank make so much more sense now. To her, helping a small business excel even a little is more beneficial to her than making mega millions.
She likes the family like relationship.
I think it’s so interesting that she said she had an advantage because the men didn’t respect her or see her coming. Because they underestimated her, she could take them by surprise. I totally get that. Never underestimate others.
I think this can be a super power for a lot of people. When people underestimate you, don't get mad or offended, use that to your advantage.

Wow this interview paints a different picture then how she's portrayed on Shark Tank. On Shark Tank she's really cutthroat and almost the heel of the show. I've gained so much more respect for her after hearing her story!

Barbara always struck me as the more compassionate shark. She takes chances on people the other sharks write off. Mr Wonderful is the main heel of the show for me.
Whenever she made an offer, she made the most generous deal. That’s is, give the entrepreneur exactly what they asked for

Omg... Barbara is so correct...find a good boss and it will change your life! I'm working for my third supervisor on my job and he has changed my life because he gave me a chance and now I am a Lead person and together we make the decisions on how we want to run our job! Priceless!
I LOVE Barbara! She's so well-spoken and super charismatic. She's definitely an icon for business oriented people. She came from nothing and made something of herself. AND she KNOWS what it is like being a waitress starting from the bottom.

I like that she said she got a lucky break because people tend to undermine luck a lot. Being at the right place at the right time and meeting the right people, that's something you sometimes don't anticipate.

One thing on my bucket list was attending Ellen Show hosted by Ellen DeGeneres but unfortunately it's ending next year and I can't go...but have learn Kindness from Ellen, which is the most important guidance in my life,every decision or action when done with sence of kindness all will be well and for that I will forever be grateful Ellen🌹.

That last piece of advice about a boss that backs you is 100p 🔥! Took me awhile to figure that out but it is so true. You can't advance if your boss doesn't support you. Pickup and move on.

That’s very true I’ve had some horrible abusive bosses and those jobs were miserable. I’ve had good bosses and those jobs were soooo much better!
I also appreciated her comments about making sure you have a good boss. I worked a job for almost seventeen years and I had to make the decision to quit. After almost seventeen years my new boss started a paper trail on me so he could fire me and deny me all my accrued benefits and vacation time. He had done the same with a few other coworkers. So I left and got a much better job within two weeks and couldn't be happier.

I like how Ellen spun her words by saying her teachers and students made fun of her then she proceeded to say the judgement is within yourself. She didn’t even say that.
Ellen was going off notes. Teachers and students did make fun of her that's something Barbara had talked about. She probably just didn't want to get into anything negative on the show so she redirected
I really enjoy the success of other people.
