Much like communism. Sounds right on paper, but in practice...... eeeh maybe start over. Cause you need someone willing to give without getting. But gain beats reasoning. Making a business is difficult but the definition of freedom varies. Even if you own the company you're still limited by legal rights and the same right as anyone else. And all that money comes at a price, most often freedom itself. Due to how much you must manage it. The problem is when you don't. If you have lots of spare time while running a business then what is it you're actually doing. And also those who own a business, gain power, and power corrupts. You can say it isn't about money, but you make a business most of the time to make money, that's all. Disney was all about money, Ford was all about money and today it's always money. The entire capitalistic system is about gain, why else do you think it's so shitty now? If oil companies didn't get to have influence and lobbyists then countries wouldn't have the US breathing down their necks for natural resources, the electric car would've been further developed when cars were first created. The message is a good one, but in practice it's either warped or not true.

Not arrogance, confidence. Not "brutal", pragmatist. A lot of people ignore the ugliness of the world, but the modern day warrior must face it head on. The horrors of the world cannot be ignored, they must be fought..with real solutions. I read his book, and it gave me an entire new outlook on the world, and on him. He is an admirable person. Another thing I should point out to people is that being nice, isn't being kind. If you want to feed your child nothing but ice cream in order to be nice, you are not being kind to the child. If a person prioritizes the safeguarding of feelings, over the pursuit of personal development, they will find it is impossible to compete and the world will call them "loser". That happened to me. Awesome interview! Some people think Kevin is hard-nosed, but they're just shooting the messenger. You have to be blunt with people in order for them to get the message. Especially people who are beginning to venture into an area they're unfamiliar with like running a business. There are so many distractions/hope/ aspirations, they won't get the message otherwise. My father worked for wages briefly in his youth also and then went on to start and run 12 businesses, some of them during the Depression. He had to stay nimble and change when things didn't work out. He was quite successful in the end. So this interview resonates a lot with me.

Kevin O'Leary is probably one of the only people that I would feel truly intimidated by! He's got such intense eyes that seems to pierce through your soul. Love this guy!
As to your question at 22:59, I think Kevin’s story about working at the ice cream shop is a testament to the fact that the the entrepreneurial drive/spirit/essence/mindset (whatever you want to call it) is something you are born with. Not everyone thinks the way he did; most people would have gotten down on that floor and scrapped off the gum without seeing a way out besides getting another job with a job description they are comfortable with. With that said, I believe it also has to do with how you are raised. It’s a combination of both nature and nurture but the nature has to be there in order for you to start, stay persistent and eventually become successful. I think of the entrepreneurial spirit like this: it is a seed (nature) waiting to be watered (nurture), watered by experiences that help bring it out of you/help it grow. That experience could be how you were raised and or something like that eye-opening experience that Kevin had.

I think what Kevin is saying is that if you have 1-2 basic ingredients that power your product or service, you don't need to reinvent the wheel. Imagine if automobile OEMs made the same base model of car but you could create a new "skin" that snapped on top of that model and turned it into looking like a sports car...SUV...sedan...etc. You'd save a ton of money not having to re-tool and reproduce so many different kinds of vehicles. Wow! Kevin you are great. Thank you! Everything you say is true. There are alot of advice about making money is all about making money and buying into someone idea, someones business but you are not in control of your self, your life. Most time success is from 0 success is time, success is constanrly learning, listening, risk, exsperimenting, team playing, rebond, success is science and engineering. Being in control, attitude. Success is YOU creation of yahova GOD!!!!!!!
I began my investment journey at the age of 38, primarily through hard work and dedication. Now at the age of 42, I am thrilled to share that my passive income exceeded $100k in a single month for the first time. This success reinforces the importance of the advice mentioned earlier. It is not about achieving quick wealth, but rather ensuring long-term financial prosperity
Investors should exercise caution with their exposure and exercise caution when considering new investments, particularly during periods of inflation. It is advisable to seek guidance from a professional or trusted advisor in order to navigate this recession and achieve potential high yields.
This is superb! Information, as a noob it gets quite difficult to handle all of this and staying informed is a major cause, how do you go about this are you a pro investor?
Through closely monitoring the performance of my portfolio, I have witnessed a remarkable growth of $483k in just the past two quarters. This experience has shed light on why experienced traders are able to generate substantial returns even in lesser-known markets. It is safe to say that this bold decision has been one of the most impactful choices I have made recently.
We did a full breakdown of O'Leary owing to his involvement with FTX. Did the whole life story. The guy has never been the winner people always thought he was.
You need that first big lump sum of capital to get started in making millions. A Salary is the drug is what they give you when they want you to forget about your dreams.
This all depends my man. If you view that salary as your way to grow and build up your personal start up capital then your statement is false. However, conservatively probably 90+% of people who get that good salary become comfortable and comfort is the enemy of doing whatever it takes to realize those dreams. It makes you hesitant to burn your boats in order to take the island.
In Kenya, a salary is the only to get started ...... Makes you friends with the banks..... And provides that guaranteed payments for the loans. The loans than build whatever it is you want to do. Here, you really can't get "Investors" ....... They don't exist, unless they are your parents.

I really could care less about $'s if I did I believe I would be well off and I am well off anyways, but not because I care to, but because of God and His protection over me. Leary's perspective of why he is where he is at is nice to listen to because there is worldly wisdom to it :).
Do it to be free!
Awesome advice!
That’s means everything to me!
Thanks Erick
Agreed!
Kevin O'Leary has set off my bullshit alarm for years,
but admittedly I could never really put my finger on it.
There was always something hucksterish about him.
Such a fantastic interview, lots of insights. Thanks
What a fantastic interview, i can’t stop watching it over and over. So many great and valuables lessons that i can apply immediately to my personal and professional life. Great work !
This was an amazing interview; so many good pertinent questions... thank you so much for it!

Thanks J
This us one of the best interviews and he has kept it real like we do in the great family.
Thank you for watching! 🙏 Hope you're subscribed...if you tell me what else you're interested in learning I'll make another video recommendation from my channel.
If you interview him again or other entrepreneurs can you please ask their advice on building a luxury brand? I feel the psychology of luxury products is counterintuitive to most marketing. Thank you.
Outstanding! Thanks Kevin for enabling a transcript; copying as many of the insights of actionable information for soonest Implementation. Your videos and tweets truly are master classes in a school of success. thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
Nice one lesson to learn from Kevin.I would like to thank you anchor who has skill to open up Kevin.

I am subbing now..
Entity of Sin 👊
This is pure gold, thank you for posting this great interview
Key takeaway?
@BehindtheBrand his recounting his first job, "you have two types of people, one owns the store, the other scrapes the shit off the floor" a very vivid image and lesson
I’m realizing that the more money you obtain is an opportunity to help others that help themselves in this money driven world.
Capitalism has created more millionaires, than anything else, in this country. (USA)
Great interview! Gotta love his honesty! A true entrepreneur!
Bless Kevin O Leary’s heart
;)
Just incredible, thanks for all these knowledges 🤝!!
More to come!
5:02 “I think great CEO’s, great entrepreneurs combine the chaos of art with the discipline of science.”
24:39 “Experience is just intuition distilled.”
31:06 “The fear of failure is perhaps the most important motivator [an entrepreneur’s] got.”
35:32 “I think that if you’re a real asshole, you’re going to pay the price one day...Karma is how that gets settled.”
35:50 “If you de-risk your children’s lives, you are giving them a disease.”
46:00 “Go to my cellar and get a $2,000 bottle of wine.” *The most I ever spent on a bottle of wine was $65, and I thought that was excessive* 😂
Bonus: Employees are de-risked by the companies and employers they work for (??:?? Time stamp)
48:00 Removing CEO’s/founder/entrepreneur-operator and moving them up into chairman position (retaining equity). I.e. Trevor Milton removal from CEO and becoming chairman of Nikola (NKLA).
Thank you for watching Chris! 🙏 Hope you're subscribed...if you tell me what else you're interested in learning I'll make another video recommendation from my channel.
Very good interview. I like how the interviewer went back to tidy up on the emotional intelligence and on the effect of wealth in personal attitude.
U Eritrean or Ethiopian?
@@user-lu6yg3vk9z The comment could have come from any. Ok, I am Eritrean. Respectfully, what difference will that make.
Force For Good ሓይሊ ንጽቡቕ I am Eritrean too just wondering that’s all.
@@user-lu6yg3vk9z No problem glad to run into brother having similar interest.
@15:38 “I wanted to thank her and help her out”. What he really meant to say is he wanted to show her he had enough money to pay her to scrub the gum off HIS shoes and buy 100 ice cream stores, her, her husband, her children and grandchildren 1000 times over.
perhaps
Collaboration, great interview! We are so grateful to have access to this great information. Keepup the great work
Thank you!
Amazing interview! Thank you for this.
I don’t even have a guy who delivers my breakfast in the morning.
Kevin O'Leary for prime minister of Canada
Very insightful and helpful. Thank you! 👌🏻
thanks!
Thank you for this free lecture.
Likewise. ❤😂!
It "was" free, wasn't it? ❤😂!
Thanks for watching Dennis!
Wow, that’s stirring! Do you mind connecting me to your advisor please. I desperately need one to diversified my portfolio
I’ve actually been looking into advisors lately, the news I’ve been seeing in the market hasn’t been so encouraging. who’s the person guiding you?
31:23 - “A salary is the drug they give you when they want you to forget about your dreams” 😲👏🏼
Yep
Excellent interview
We did a full breakdown of O'Leary owing to his involvement with FTX. Did the whole life story. The guy has never been the winner people always thought he was.
The LOVE of money is the root of all evil. Very different. Great interview.
This was a truly excellent interview. It’s not often that you learn so much useful advice in such a short period of time.
Kevin O'Leary is so dang interesting!
Excellent! I’m storing this man! There’s a lot of great pieces of advice here
Glad it was helpful!
You need that first big lump sum of capital to get started in making millions. A Salary is the drug is what they give you when they want you to forget about your dreams.
yep
I dearly love this guy I would like to be like him.
Make no mistake. Kevin is a savage.
@@BehindtheBrand Thank you for taking the time to give me a feedback.
Kevin just says it the way it is... he shoots from the hip!
He's the real deal
I respect that
I want to balance the other comment out and say I enjoyed the life lessons this video shared and I am surprised this only has 100 views. Good job on this video!
Thanks!
Kevin, for President of Canada 👽
“I’m gonna go back cause I didn’t get the answer I wanted”
Well ya, cause when he answered he just talked about how godly he thinks he is and how he makes the right decisions all the time.
17:50 I love Kevin at this part. It's so true
