Looking good
did you have to break in the new brakes?
Of course. It’s mandatory
How they holding up? Any squealing noises initially when braking ?
Just like every set of new discs and pads u need to break them in properly then all will be good. So far no noise at all. Very effective braking even in touge sessions.
@@DrivenTechReviews Thanks for your replies! Some awesome content you got there! I have a Passat B8 (currently on stock rotors) I too agree that BBKs are an overkill for our daily driving needs. (They cost a lot eg: AP Racing 5000 6 piston series is like rm10k+) I also doubt the authenticity of so the so called "refurbished" Brembos taken from Porsches, Teslas etc (selling at rm4k). Hence decided to just upgrade the rotors, brake pads, steel braided hose along with the tires for good braking. Any idea if the Brembo Xtra rotors are heavier / lighter than stock or just weigh about the same?
Mine squeak insanely much and I’m a mechanic so I know what I’m doing
How is the brake disk now after one year of use? How many km you put on it?
No issues. Around 15000km+-
this is totally not how to recplace new ones. You need to check if its right by the means of 1/100mm of moving straight
