What I know when it comes to someone trying to leave behind addictions, some can go cold turkey, and be just fine, while some have to be weened off. I believe in Demi's case, she'd have to be weened off the drugs, little by little.
Shes dealt with alot of trauma. I hope she can truly become sober and step away from all that for good, shes so talented.

As an addict in feel that mental health is a tad more important than physical health cuz like you said no one knows truly what the person next them is going through and you can hide poor mental health better than poor physical health and mental health is not taken seriously by some doctors and some parts of our society which is pretty fucked up.
