Adrianna Smallwood, Registered Dietitian and CCA Professional Advisory Council Member presents on reproductive problems and undiagnosed celiac disease as part of our Facebook Live event.
Why is this video so underrated? Thank you so much for talking about this! I'm going through the celiac diagnosis in a few days and you perfectly explained about my condition.
How long it takes for the gut to heal? I have been in gluten free diet (but not 100%) for one year now even if my blood test was negative. If I want to redo the test, for how long I have to eat gluten before taking the test again? Gluten causes me bad bloating and pain. Thank you before hand!
Hi dear Plz guide me. I'm celiac and my age is 37 and have been trying to get pregnant for the past 1 and a half years. According to my gyno I don't have any fertility issues but I'm not able to conceive naturally. Now she is suggesting to me IVF. Should I go for it? Plz give ur valuable suggestions.
Hi Chloe. Yes, menstrual irregularities are a known symptom of undiagnosed and newly diagnosed celiac disease. This can be due to low body weight, iron etc.. however can be due to other causes as well. Please chat with your doctor to ensure you receive the appropriate treatment. If you'd like you can also reach out to our dietitian and she would be happy to chat further. 1.800.363.7296 ext. 224 :)

I have celiac and I just want to know if when you are first healing from eating gluten and being diagnosed, are irregular periods normal.
