Reading all the debates of who would win, I wanna throw my 2 cents in. Seeing how (Godzilla) Earth and Shin function in their settings, of course Earth would win. A battle between Shin and Earth would be like having a Xenomorph fight Goku. One is an apex predator that very few being can rival, (mostly) grounded in reality with realistic abilities. The other is a highly fictitious being designed to have highly unrealistic, highly overpowered abilities to overcome literally anything. I love Shin to bits, but these are not only two very different beasts power-wise, but both are written in very, very different settings with different scales of power. They are from different universes, something as (functionally) realistic as Shin wouldn't stand a chance in a universe where Earth can simply obliterate anything it doesn't like with one step. One can overcome any obstacle, and the other is the absolute limit. Also, yes, there are the concepts of Shin evolving and eventually becoming a God and whatnot. One of the Directors of Shin Godzilla was the guy who made Evangelion, and he wanted to have Shin eventually grow into a creator god essentially. However, these were scrapped pretty early on because Toho thought it strayed waaay too far from the image of Godzilla they wanted, so we received Godzilla barely making it to "stage 5", basically finally evolving to combat humans directly, but nothing more. At the end of the day these are scrapped designs, and while Shin's evolutionary abilities still have a seemingly nigh nonexistent ceiling, it's still facing essentially the god of Earth's universe. tl;dr, Shin is a realistic character battling an Anime character, of course Shin's gonna be obliterated.
Considering how Godzilla Earth's world works, shin would have already been evolving has Earth's minions would have already been attacking him. Furthermore, Shin got rid of his energy issues during his hibernation after the big beam attack as you see him rapid firing beams in the next fight. Honestly Shin would have likely had a "6th" form and likely unleashed the 5th forms to counter Earth's attack units. (people forget he has a hoard of flying minions under his command) Honestly Shin would have to contend with Earth Jr before the BIG G shows up. That said. Earth likely still wins in many encounters.. though it depends if he bothers killing off the splattered regenerating remains of Shin. IT would be a LONG multi round battles with shin potentially becoming spreading biomass creating shin drones. Honestly it would be a fun situation. But i still think Earth wins. but at what cost? XD
Oh and i should add that they may not even fight. Shin and Earth arent the most aggressive Gojis. Shin would just go for a walk and earth would likely look at him like " huh.. thats new" no aggression just walking aimlessly. Shin has a higher chance of fighting with Mechagodzilla city.
@@WildArmACF Earth is actually very aggressive, it's stated that it became the strongest kaiju by killing all other kaiju and human resistance it came across. The only Kaiju that could actually do a thing to Earth was Mothra who deflected its atomic breath back at it.
Imma be honest, GE is just 1 breath away from eradicating Shin, and Shin is probably multiple forms away from being anywhere near him. Not to mention, the GE in the show is apparently an immature version of what forced humanity off of Earth. This is literally coughing baby versus hydrogen bomb.
Godzilla Earth's child or whatever the hell the 1st Godzilla that they encounter upon returning to Earth is, would have killed Shin Godzilla. The real Godzilla Earth would have accidentally stepped on Shin Godzilla and not even noticed
There’s a scene from Shin that was cut for being too graphic, it showed chunks of Shin’s blood and flesh growing eyes and teeth. Basically, each individual cell of Shin wants to survive and can replicate and grow new tissue on its own. So, if Earth doesn’t _completely_ eradicate every trace of Shin, Shin can come back and try again. Possibly multiple different variations of him depending on their environments and what challenges they face. Still, Earth probably wins since it likely _would_ obliterate Shin with its atomic breath. Though that’s assuming Shin encounters Earth first. Remember, in the anime Earth had given birth to a second Godzilla that the Humans managed to defeat. If Shin meets that one first, that could give it time to evolve strong enough to defeat that one, which in turn could give it the durability it needs to survive Earth long enough to defeat it as well. But Shin’s greatest weakness is its limited energy reserves. Its long down times give Earth and its kin too much opportunity to win.
@@joswharsimancascaballero8936so in the SP Godzilla anime it was stated that ultima has a true form that is able to destroy entire universes and the characters in SP had to travel back in time just to defeat his avatar form

Shin godzilla had the potential to be the strongest godzilla ever but the author scrapped the other 4 planned forms due to it not being able to fit in the movie. His final form was suppose to be an omnipotent being inspired from lovecraftian gods. To bad the director doesnt wanna make a sequel for it.
I think the ultimate question here is if Earth will use an atomic breath or not. If he use an Atomic breathe to destroy every single cell from shin, that's the end of it. But if he goes for anything physical, Shin will most likely retaliate by growing into a similar or bigger size with a tougher body overall. And a Shin that's adapted to take hits from earth will likely be harder to atomize with Earth's breath. And the longer Shin isn't atomized, the more adapted he becomes to fight Godzilla Earth.
I mean Earth pretty much spams his breath, its kind of his go to attack when facing off against another monster, also he was experience fighting opponents with high regeneration. As when he faced off against Gigan who was infused with a nanometal that allowed it regen from Earth's attack he just ended up using a more powerful version of his breath. Also it would take a long time for Shin to adapt a resistance to Earth's atomic breath considering it has the power to destroy a black hole, which would take a massive amount of energy to adapt to and regen from which in the movie was a big problem form as he ran out of energy to fight back and got frozen.
Evolution is one thing but Earth is so beyond Shin from the moment they meet it will desintegrate it. Shin only faced conventionnal weapons while Earth got nuclear almost from the start, also to note Earth was nuked when it was a lot weaker and still survived. Now it not only had 25k years to evolve but also grew in potential. Shin can win only if immortal and maybe the evolution factor will have time to kick in but if mortal, Earth's breath will be enough to vaporise it.
Well we could use Earth while he was still a baby when he was 50 meters tall, but even then Earth destroys Shin. As when he was a baby he was capable of destroying entire cities like Los Angeles in one blast, got a ton of nukes dropped on him, got trapped under the Himalayas and melted them, rested for 5 years and destroyed Gorath which had the same mass as the moon, and ultimately forced an advanced humanity who united against him off the planet.
it was stated in the movie, the only thing they thought was capable of completely destroying shin was a nuke. one other note, Godzilla earth's weight is broken
@@joshualonsdale-rq2lz I agree cause someone did a animation cartoon video of Legendary, Ultima and Shin fight each other and Earth shows up making them form a truce and they did beat Earth up and won in a beam clash of atomic breathe/ray and Shin and Ultima alone had a enough power together to make a stalemate in a beam clash with Earth and mind you the whole battle royal turned 3v1 Shin stayed fourth form the whole time and still was a major help kicking Earths butt

@@Coldburrito129 You people are laughable, Ultima would destroy Shin easily, and is far stronger than Earth. This really shows how much information people lack about each type of Godzilla. Shin is by far one of the weakest Godzilla's in it's current form.
Godzilla Earth wins the battle; but Shin Godzilla wins the war. Godzilla Earth made an extremophile ecosystem around him; exactly what Shin would make. Then again, the shield, and the thermal attack... I'd call it a tie. Shin would thrive in Godzilla Earth's Ecosystem, but wouldn't be able to take out Godzilla Earth.
Cassandra Cain vs Daredevil Captain America(MCU) vs CW Green Arrow Supergirl vs Atrocitus Deadshot vs Red Hood Deadpool vs White Canary Nobu(Netflix Daredevil) vs Winter Soldier( MCU)
Both are really strong in different ways. Godzilla earth has the raw power and durability. Shin godzilla is basically immortal to any conventional damage, he can regenerate from a single cell and can form a new shin godzilla from each chunk of flesh/blood. He will be destroyed by earth, but will come back adapted to counter earth and in greater numbers.
I believe that the first battle would be key. I’m going to refer to 3d anime Godzilla as U-Godzilla, as it was either said outright or implied that this version was actually a universal species that spread across the cosmos. If shin Godzilla was able to survive the first battle, U-Godzilla would be in trouble. Because shin Godzilla was still evolving. I’ve seen the art from the creator of shin Godzilla of what the next phase of evolution would have been if he finished the phase he was in as he was being frozen. A god in every sense of the word. And if U-Godzilla could still harm shin Godzilla, evolution would just take the next step again. It’s all down to the first fight.
Sorry there were some typos in the beginning. I just said it even if a little peace shin Godzilla survived the first encounter. It wouldn't last for long.
It depends are we talking about kamacura San or shin form 8 cuz kamacura San gets bodied but shin 8 literally wouldn’t notice that he killed earth with how powerful he is
I hate to be that guy but shin form 8 was never shown in the film its just concept art its not Canon so in this battle its irrelevant I'd the battle was shin form 8 vs godzilla earth then it would matter
I think Shin would win because of the fact the Earth uses sooooo much energy that he hibernates wayyyy too much. That hibernating time can rlly give Shin so much time to evolve. So if Shin manage to even just barely survive Earth’s first assault, he could evolve to literally defeat Earth while Earth need to take time to recharge

one evolves to counter all threats and one forced everything around it to evolve to be like it to survive. I think its clear who is the superior being
GE was able to evolve for thousand of years. Shin didn't. But shin was able to evolve in a small amount of time if needed be.
If Shin was able to evolve as GE. Shin is theoritically more powerful.
So basically "What if", which has no real relevance or importance.

I think Godzilla Earth would win pretty much all encounters with Shin unless he manages to evolve to become as big as Earth, which would take a while.
Anybody else stop watching the video during the description of Shin Godzilla, or jump to the end? I am not super familiar with either of these Godzilla's, but the disparity in scale is staggering. This is a fight between a planet buster (or at least a continent buster) and a city buster. There is no contest. I imagine that people who are familiar with these two Godzilla's laughed or skipped to the end immediately (if they watched at all).
I was shocked this was even a debate😭
if you didn't know, why would you skip shin godzilla's section. That proves that you don't really know anything about it. You're right, but going about it the wrong way.
@@MyLife-og2kr he really isn’t and was in the right to skip it cause the only argument you can make is to say he somehow evolves enough to be able to take him on what makes you think earth is just gonna watch him evolve 😭 and regardless even if he did evolve enough to take him on there is a MASSIVE size difference and shin has no way through his shield
@@exel8091 that's why I said "you're right, but going about it the wrong way." If I had to do any form of argument, I would like to know what my opponent has, even if I know I'm right and even if I know it's a massive molly wop. Just gives me more arsenal to fire back. Also, the way that op was going about it just makes one a fanboy. That's how they're made. A non fanboy would want to know both sides and make their judgement based off that, cause you never really know what the opponent has. This is for all vs battles, not just this one.
@@MyLife-og2kr "Anybody else stop watching the video DURING the description of Shin Godzilla" - notice what I capitalized, and then re-read my comment to figure out how much I watched before concluding this match up was a farce. "why would you skip shin godzilla's section" - Classic strawman.
Great breakdown, but we really have to focus on the more important question:
would shin Godzilla be able to take down thigh ghidorah?

Moral of the story: shin is done for no-easy diff

Chirrut Imwe (Rouge One) vs Fennec Shand (The Mandalorian)
You should’ve done shin vs singular point Godzilla cause that would be a even match up

Earth no concept of diff
Evolution is one thing but Earth is so beyond Shin from the moment they meet it will desintegrate it.
Shin only faced conventionnal weapons while Earth got nuclear almost from the start, also to note Earth was nuked when it was a lot weaker and still survived. Now it not only had 25k years to evolve but also grew in potential.
Shin can win only if immortal and maybe the evolution factor will have time to kick in but if mortal, Earth's breath will be enough to vaporise it.
Im so glad im not the only person who asked this question
What if shin Godzilla was as old as Godzilla Earth?

U forgot saltwater crocs are ocean animals that can come on to land
Shin Godzilla has to survive an attack of the opponent to adapt to it
Id love to see Godzilla earth vs singular point gman cuz singular point is almost kinda a inter dimensional being
I believe that the first battle would be key.
You basically compared a lizard to a mountain the size of mount Everest
It depends are we talking about kamacura San or shin form 8 cuz kamacura San gets bodied but shin 8 literally wouldn’t notice that he killed earth with how powerful he is
I hate to be that guy but shin form 8 was never shown in the film its just concept art its not Canon so in this battle its irrelevant I'd the battle was shin form 8 vs godzilla earth then it would matter
U should do shin vs singular point
Godzilla Earth's Atomic breath is a electromagnetic particle beam.
one thing is evolution needs energy, will shin run out before he gets to adapt to godzilla earth
Earth hibernated to store power for Ghidorah and other threats, he probably wouldn't even register Shin as a threat.
