Thanks Shane. This a great exercise for newbies like myself to work on intonation. You can definitely hear if you are out of tune playing the open strings along with the fretted notes. I will definitely be ordering lessons from you. Your style of teaching is informative and easy to understand
This is super helpful thank you very much! New to Fingerpicks and all this weird stuff so I’m still trying to get the roll down. Great shirt great show by the way
Very nice video. I have played the mandolin for about 4 years until I hurt my left hand and had to have surgery. My hand did not like the surgery very much. I have not played in several months now. I want to try the dobro. I'm looking for a square neck apposed to a round one, I was hoping a 4 to 5 hundred dollar one would do me well? I will need some lessons for sure anyway this video inspired me. Thank you.
Jeff, I cut off my index finger in a table saw accident and the reattachment would not let it bend so ended my limited guitar career! I picked up the dobro during the pandemic and I am able to play music again. I say go for it!!
Shane, Thank you! I am going to be practicing this helpful rolling scale lesson and looking to see what other lessons you have. (I cannot believe anyone disliked this lesson. What???)

Hey. Thanks so much for the kind words. Glad the lesson helped you.
Cool t-shirt. Keep on sliding.👏👍🇨🇦
Thanks Shane. Great warm up exercise. Last part sounds like a useful pattern for a jam.
Thanks!

Thanks! The picks will become second nature to you.
Excellent, actually!
Thanks for this! :)
Maybe dobro rolls adapted Scruggs' banjo rolls.

Whats the purpose of the cloth under your picking hand?
It’s for a clean visual of the strings.
Have you ever done a lesson on playing notes the relative minor of a specific key?
Not yet!
What bar do you like to use when playing?
I use a Scheerhorn stainless steel bar
