The fact you're trying to bend it and it takes so much force to get a slight bend is encouraging for us paranoid people who are worried about leaving it in our backpack.
Er….. ideally in a cover/case in a backpack
Unless it bends on the other side…
On this simple test - simple and better
Why??? Spend all that money to break them 😮what’s your point here when you should take care of your devices bc they do cost a lot of money put it in a case if you are worried about it bending on you Sam come on ❤😊
I wonder it Apple lets him test them, I can’t see him spending that kinda money and destroy them..just saying
Those iPads are more flexible than 90% of people in the US
only 75%
@@JBR.1974 you don’t have to be fat to be inflexible. 😂

Came here to make sure this was being talked about. Thank you
Would love to see a video where you try to return those broken iPads back to Apple!😂
With a fake mustache on lol
@@gregparks1785the mental image of him holding 4 bent iPads looking shifty with a fake moustache at an Apple Store is just hilarious
😂😂😂 I hope he does it.
AppleCare+ should cover this 😂
The cracking sounds like when a chiropractor cracks your back lol
😂😂👍
That was so painful to watch….. thanks for the vid Sam….
I had to close my eyes at times, it was tough 😂
Nothing comes close to what you did to the Apple Watch Ultra😂it was borderline traumatising
LOL TRUE
@@AppleTrackbetween the 11inch and the 13 which one would u say is more durable?

My favorite part is that people don’t understand it’s a tax write off for the business/channel.
Omg literally 😂 tech is one of the highest paying cpm.
Being wasteful is not virtue.
Its not waste? @TheJamSpace he's testing them. There are thousands that won't sell that will get binned eventually
So, if I put this iPad in my backpack, if it's out alive and straight from there, or I'll have a folding tablet for life.
I’m seriously disappointed for the $300 price difference on the pros that we didn’t get titanium on the 5.1 mm 13 inch. I feel like titanium would’ve easily justified. The extra $100 price delta compared to the non-pros size relative costs and at the same time would’ve put the rest any reservations people had about durability. The fact that Apple just casually charges an extra $100 on the pros that are already more expensive just seems like a pure unapologetic cash grab.
honestly my biggest gripe is no stickers coming in the box anymore 😭
Did you not see the M4 chip and Tandem OLED?
Titanium weighs more than Aluminum.
That would be so much titanium
@@jessecapella who cares if it doesn’t bend
Of course Sam has to try and go bankrupt again😂😂!!-
He’s doing for the views because these are the videos that get him the most views😂It’s sad you gotta break shit to get more likes than your normal content lol
When are people going to realize that tech UA-camrs are one of the highest paying type of content on youtube 🤦🏾
@@newagehero9605 Yeah but tech is also expensive in itself, especially since this just came out. Again I get he earns his money back from views ect, but still that is not guaranteed each time. Overall never said it was good or bad but just earning a lot is not the factor for being able to break stuff, And regardless would hope Sam wants to save some money regardless!!
he destroyed such a high cost device ☹️☹️ and here i have no enough money to buy this😂
@@cbi6334 I know right😂😂- like if you can do many spare us some
Love you Sam! You’re a GOAT. Don’t let others make you think differently. They don’t know you. Don’t give up dude! 💯
🙌🙌-Agreed!!
How does Tim feel watching this while remembering you took a selfie with him at Apple Park...
Feels great, he got money for four iPads.
Why does that matter? It's not like Apple doesn't do the samething before releasing the products.
Tim is his dad
Like he’s getting more money?🙄
I wonder if Sam will be invited back to Apple Park to do more videos (though I sometimes wonder if it is green screen)
Who pays for these? lolol This is what we needed to see, though; my confidence in this product is all the way up.
We do, that’s how YT monetisation works!
My boy Sam risking his last buck for this
No his not 😂 he’s a successful tech UA-camr one of the highest paying cpm for UA-camrs
Sam, which config did you buy for yourself?
Does the old iPad Pro only bend around the usbc too?
Bro… I’m saving up to get one of these, and you are just bending this like it’s nothing… my heart hurts 😢
You’re the best, no one asked Apple to make iPads thinner, why didn’t Apple concentrate on making them more durable rather than thinner
Because they want you to easily break them to replace them and therefore get more money.
Someone already did a durability test. You’re the second now 🔥

Love my new iPad Pro 1 TB M4 chip. It’s lightening fast. Thanks for your show😊
I always wondered how people were sitting on their phones and bending their iPads by accident. Nice to know it takes actual effort to break these devices.
In the days of the iPhone 4 I was in a bar and the woman next to me had a 4 that was severely bent. Like way, way more than these. The screen was separated and cracked. You could see the motherboard in the back. Yet she was using it like it was nothing. When she put it down on the bar you could see how extreme the bend was. Just incredible.
@@mewintle she managed to bend an iphone 4? I am impressed
This is all great fun, but in the real world many people are going to have some sort of semi-hard protective case on it and, when carrying it in a backpack or bag, it's never going to bend or get damaged. I've got a 2017 iPad Pro that I've packed tightly into a cramped backpack and taken it on dozens of flights and it's still in perfect condition.
Is there any chance you will do drop test with the new iPads in the Magic Keyboard and folio cases in my head I hate they are not covered in the corners but idk if they need to
Is the new ipad just as reliable as the old one with a good cover ?
Sam: "...hit subscribe for more videos like this because...they're very expensive."
Also Sam: *Proceeds to break $4k worth of said devices*
It was painful to see iPads get destroyed. Nevertheless, thank you for the content and for informing us. And I must say, your content is getting better and better and you seem to really be finding your style.
That was a really nice comment and I appreciate that :)
@@AppleTrack 100% dude! I’m a big fan of you and your channel.
Great video! They just came out and already a durability test. I didn’t expect the new iPad to be that strong compared to the old one
I owned a 2nd Gen IPad Pro and kept it in my property and was very careful to look after it. With not a huge amount of use, the chassis bent very slightly (somehow) and it caused an issue with the power and it kept turning off and back on, before eventually failing to turn on. I took it to the Apple store Genius Bar and the guy admitted off-the-record that the chassis on the IPad Pro’s were prone to “bending”. It is my first poor experience with Apple who wanted to charge me £500 to replace my iPad as they said that it is impossible to repair because of the strong adhesive they use inside. Has this kind of thing improve in the latter iPad Pro’s? I am weary at forking out another £1000. Anyone else had anything similar?
Went from Sam Kohl to Max Pressure
Apple launches anything and this guy is like waooo, amazing, unbelievable. How could this be possible! Incredible
Even thought there is hardly any changes with the upgrades 🤣
Ayyy!!! Didn’t think you’d beat Jerry at it!!! Let’s see what his muscular nature shows us haha.
By the way , You’re the only UA-camr who actually resonated with me whilst the apple even about the iPad pro’s new black dot above the flashlight. They removed UW cam and made LiDAR look like a second cam(kinda cheeky😂) but could it be that they increased the resolution of the scans by splitting the transmitter and the receiver ?
I hope you look into it in your future video.
With AppleCare, do they replace a bent ipad for you for free?
If you have incidental damage, it covers anything you can break it literally in half. As long as you have the iPad and it matches your apple care+ it will be replaced after your deductible
This is what I have wanted to see. You really put these to the test..awesome video 👍👍
Can you make another video about whether you were able to bend them back into shape like nothing happened? I super hope you can because this makes me sad every time you do it.
"It was a satisfying crack if I am being honest" whatttttt? 🤣❤
You're awesome for doing this. A lot of people are probably afraid to get the new iPad because they think it'll break easily, but now they don't have to ~stress~ over it. Thanks Sam!!
Can you snap the os in half too?
I like that you knew what was gonna happen and continued to snap all 4 iPads on both sides 😂😂
Thanks for this the video i was waiting for
great video, would love to see this style video on more products!!
Great video , thanks . This is helpful
Common kitchen utensils: HomePod next to bleach next to an airfryer next to a printer
Where’s the new episode? We are now 11 days since the last Genius Bar episode
I don’t know anyone who would be willing to purposely bend an expensive device; That’s why the Magic Keyboard is aluminum to give it even more stiffness.
These are really useful. It's good to know if I leave one of these in my bag and my cat jumps on it I don't have to panic!
What’s with people infuriated over videos like this one? We should be thanking him. It is a great video that will help people understand how durable the iPad is. You may not bend your iPad but you will keep it in your backpack. Hell, even my M1 iPad Pro was bent in my backpack. I would’ve never purchased it had I seen a video like this one. But these new iPads are stronger no doubt.
Thank you so much for the bend test! 😊
I’d find a way to break it by it literally sitting on a desk for months though 😭
Im glad you did these test, I always carry my Ipads in my back pocket :)!
Thank god you remembered to press record on your camera :)
I understand when you have a product that is really, really good, you need to find ways to refresh it to create demand for sales. But I'm honestly just baffled why Apple insists on making the design thinner. People would be much more interested in a thicker iPad that had more battery, more storage, more pencil options, more ports, more screen space, more audio enhancements, more software enhancements. Apple made a product that will sell in spite of it's new thin design, but nobody actually wanted it to be this thin.
And you wonder why you don't get invited to Apple events! 🤣🤣 Great video as always!
Sam walks to an apple store and the vendor says *oh no... it's him, the tester!* hahaha you did it before Jerry I think. I solute you dude for the loses...

I expected Sam to end the video by looking down at the table, losing his smile and saying: “Oh god! What have I done?!”

good job man, really helpful 👍
I’d like to see how durable the nano glass is. Like scratches.
I hope you did not try to replace those with AppleCare
What’s crazy is that people like Leo Laporte in the tech community fail to understand the value of durability tests.
Great work dude, thanks for taking the hit on this for us all!
I got mine today and used it maybe a total of 2 hours and the screen is getting hot. Wtf?
Under what circumstances would the iPads be subjected to bending forces like these during use? It should ordinarily be in its folio or in your backpack or something normal like that. Unless if Spider-Man hurls it across the room maybe.
Apple has learned their lesson with bending products lol I knew wit was going to be stronger
See you bending the iPads really causes so much unrest in me... Honestly I'd love to see an OLED screen burned-in test more.
This video made me mad but at the same time encouraged 😂😂😂
This made me nostalgic for Everything Apple Pro’s videos 😢
Props to funding this experiment Sam! As always great video
Just watched herryrigeverything and he broke the new one 13” right on the short side at the charging port. It did not look like he put much pressure on it and it stapled really fast.
Thank you for doing these videos. Someone’s gotta
Bro feeling like Avatar the Last air bender😂
That’s actually pretty good - Whatever they did with the spine it worked. Think that puts a lot of worries to bed. Even Jerry Rig couldn’t bend it Horizontally.
What do you mean Sam? This is clearly a new feature from Apple called iBend. It’s been a thing since the iPhone 6 or 7. Now it’s on the iPad which is super exciting.
Let’s GO SAM getting in those instant durability tests on launch day!
Great video! iPad Pro 11inch or 13inch is the question!
Im glad you made this video, and compared it to the other ipads! Very very impressed with the new ipad's durability!
I know this is a bend test to test the durability of the iPads but it still hurts to watch especially knowing how expensive they can get 😂 If anything this taught me that the newer iPads takes a lot of pressure to bend. As long as the iPads have extra protection with the keyboard/folio, screen protector and well maintained, these newer iPads should last a long time.
Zack just tore apart the iPad and made it worlds' first unreleased z fold 6. Apple might want to make it easily repairable if they are going for maximum thinness
Thank you, thank you, you are addressing the very thing I wanted to know. The durability.
This just may be me, but I think most people who are able to actually buy an iPad Pro wouldn’t really put their devices through such a test.. most iPad owners would keep them relatively safe and protected. Not sure of this bend test is necessary..
Who treats their iPad like this in real world scenarios? Can’t imagine. I’d like to see realistic drop testing.
My iPad Air bent like that (first full force on 2022 iPad Pro) by just having it in my backpack...
My 2018 12.9 inch iPad Pro bent in my bag… in my Magic Keyboard :/
It would be nice to measure the pressure.
I was like i would love to own one 😢 but good to see if i purchase one and fall asleep and roll over on it, most likely will survive lol
Sam was in line in front of me to get his iPad. Wearing the same outfit he did his video in. He was whisked to the VIP Table in the back. UA-camrs have their privileges at times. But i must say, Sam didn’t have his Private Security Guy or his Posey with him. Very down to earth. But he looks different facially in person than he does on camera. I set up my appointment so I had maximum chance of seeing other UA-camrs (being a IRL Lurker since I am too shy to really talk to them) But Sam was it. As opposed to when I went to get the iPhone 15. Music Pumping, UA-camrs and Professional Camera Rigs everywhere. This just shows iPad is not as big a deal to Apple. I am happy I got a smaller and lighter iPad for me to draw on. BUT if the new Software being introduced next month doesn’t significantly change the iPad Usefullness. This is conceivable my last iPad for the next 10 years.
The thinnest Apple product ever is the $500 polishing cloth.
But how much faster can it load UA-cam compared to the previous generation?🤣
I'm glad you did this test. :) Cheers
I really like your videos, always watch them! Only one small recommendation: keep doing some durability tests (loved the Apple Watch Ultra one) but try to keep them on “real” scenarios. Leave the bend tests to Jerry ;) it’s his thing
Oh Sam hasn’t done one of these durability test videos before lol 😂 hopefully he has apple care 😊
Bro is trying to make and iPhone fold 😭
How about the report that the oled screen has a bug around the colour blue in some content hopefully just the 13 inch pro
Hey buddy, I’m a big fan great video. The fact remains if you sit on one of these, which is basically what would happen in my life anyway lol they’re all gonna bend unless they’re made out of steel.
Can’t wait for you to test the other new iPad models so we can call you the Last Airbender.
This video had me crying laughing 🫵😂🤣😭
Omg 😱 you did it !! Much before that Me. Jerry rig everything! It breaks my heart to see them breaking as I’m a student still! But anyways thanks for letting us know.
