Remember this one well, we were pretty poor all game tbh. Nigel Callaghan equalised very late on. We drew our first 4 league games that season ffs! Keep posting the great videos mate 👍
That shirt was iconic, because we won the FA Cup that season. I begged my mam to buy me it for my 15th birthday. It felt strange though, having the badge in the middle. Probably a cult classic these days.
i remember this game it ended 1-1. and where i stood in the United road paddock these supposed Yorkshire reds gave such bad abuse to John Barnes that I never attended another match. have times changed!!!
Yeh brilliant shirt my brother had one when he was 5 we are big utd fans i started supporting utd when i was 8 years old i started supporting them when we beat Everton in the FA Cup Final
@@polaris7122 he had a crocked back. Big Ron's fault really, for buying him, then making him run into space etc. He was superb in his prime. But yeah, awful for United
@@michaelroberts7374 haha, yes expecting a professional forward to run into space was quite unacceptable, should have told him to stand still, a bit like 'JOGBA'.
I was only 15. Didn't get to this one. But did Motty say at the start of the commentary that the groundsman wasn't allowed to 'artificially water the pitch"??? How bizarre was that!
1984 was a very dry spring/summer-- I remember there being PSA films in the North West region featuring Stuart Hall (yeah, him) urging us to "save water". I'm amazed at how good the pitch looks in those circumstances.
Amazing watching Sparky taking people on on the wing and whipping a ball in as a centre forward, yet wingers of now just want to cut in and shoot or pass short
Went to this . 40 yrs ago but so fresh in memory

It didn't suit United to have the badge in the middle
I remember that final. That's when I became a Manchester United supporter for life. We beat Everton 1-0 with a Norman Whiteside goal. GGMU!

I was at this game. Utd were poor that day.
John Motson just had to get his obligatory mention of Liverpool into the commentary
🐐🏴
Remember that game well.
Stunned seeing Alan Brazil without the beer belly.
@@mrpotato442 his best game away at West Brom dunno if camera ban strike he was a sublime player

Who can ever forget the Leeds West Brom incident of 71 !!?
Beardsley watching, how he never played a competitive game for united is a traversty
