Their final scores should be 18 and 13, respectively. This does not change their overall standings though.
@@captainamer71 ya that’s a great point! Same 5 guns, all at 100yd, no wind, both shooters on each gun, each shooter gets 2 10-rd groups, ammo matched to each rifle’s preferred ammo… that’ll give 40 holes per rifle to compare them to. Please do it Matt… if spring should join us at some point. 😎
Great fun watching your reviews. I found the Eley Sport does ok with the Kidd. The SK Standard Plus does far better. The Eley Target really does extremely well in the Kidd. This is with a new Kidd Supergrade 20" SS non-fluted barrel. Still working on other SK, Eley, RWS, and Lapua ammo. CZ seems to do well with the Eley Match, Eley Target, SK Long Range, Lapua Center X, and Lapua Polar in the winter.
Maybe you have covered this elsewhere, but I'd love to know more about those gloves and any others if they actually keep your hands warm and allow you to work your rifles.
What ammo was each rifle running? Weird how the Grey Birch was the best at 100 but the groups disproportionatly opened up at 200. Great video, cool to see raw comparisons like that.
Yeah there’s definitely some more testing to do with the Fusion, I’m not sure if it’s the ammo, conditions, the shooter, or a combination of all. I felt pretty steady on the bench so I’ll have to revisit that in calmer weather. The ammo was: 457 SK Rifle Match, 360 SK Long Range Match, Kidd Eley Sport, GB Fusion Eley Sport, Ruger Comp Eley Force.
Nice stuff 👏 I just had a great day shooting 4 and 5 inch gongs at 250yds with my 457 pro varmint- pistol match and long range match seem to both be right on at 34moa with a 50yd zero
I have to tell you, with guns that cost way more than my 10/22 which is bone stock outside of a Magpul stock and a 4 to 12 vortex scope, you're not getting any better groups than I do with el cheapo ammunition!

The premise of the "practical' exercise has nothing to do with bolt vs semi-auto and everything to do with the shooter's ability to manage wind and distance. If you put a great shooter on a semi and a good shooter on a bolt, the great shooter/semi would win. Now swap them over and the great shooter/bolt would in.

My Ruger 1022 BB can do 0.25" group, center-to-center, at 50yd.

This would have been very interesting if the test had been done under more favourable conditions with more uniformity of ammo etc. Too many variables.

Kevin 3d printed it himself for his rifles. It's just a little piece that has a hole sized for the chamber flags we use

Not quite, the CZ was shooting a bad lot of SK, and my 10/22's have not really been lot tested yet

Cold temps kill .22 accuracy. I bet those groups would be half the size or more if the weather was warmer.
Wonder how much of that is lube related, and how much is the primer/powder being affected by the cold interfering with ignition.
not good at 200 when you need a yardstick to measure groups...should group 3" to 4" at 300yds...

The vudoos are supposed to be cream of the crop best of the best, and they f*cked up on mag design. Typical. They're no goat, just a new 40x.
