I bought it a couple months ago after hearing all the abuse the reviews got I wasn’t expecting anything amazing but actually it lasted a long time and the sweet lavender, green notes and creamy base really sold it, it’s not one of my favourites and keeps that lavender note for so long!
Still feel likes an experimental release by Francis Kurkdjian using the Dior Sauvage brand to market and sell it. Haven’t tried it yet for myself but it’s getting very mixed reactions.
I feel like this one will have be applied into 2 or 3 layers in order it to work. Since it does spray a thin mist. On me it does work. You just have to layer it. But not by too much. I applied 7 sprays. 2 on each side of the neck and 3 on the back of the neck, or if not the back, then the front of the neck. Tbh• I don’t mind them wanting to get innovative and try different formulas, but this one is probably not going to be a big hit. I can see there being some mass appeal to it, but overall it’s gonna be more mixed. Kinda like when Sauvage Parfum came out. People were 100% upset with that one due to the longevity and performance. Even tho it worked for me.
@@RamshawFragrancesit’s basically an all year rounder like the rest, but more refined and more grown up while the first two have more of a youthful touch. Elixir is in a league of its own
If you blindfolded 100 people and made them smell Eau Forte vs DHP I guarantee at least 99 people will say Eau Forte is better. DHP is great but it’s extremely over hyped, I own it and barely ever use it because it smells like Powdery Rose.. 👍
Great review - crisp, informative and nicely edited!
@@nkapped thanks!
I hated the sauvage elixir at first but it grew on me. I have the Eau de Parfum version and it does its job for me.

So for you Sauvage Parfum is good for summer? It’s not more dense and sweet compared with edt and edp?
@@saulgoodmanandriese8658 Parfum has more citrus than the others so I think it can lean more towards the warmer seasons!

You gotta be joking
@@brettm5545 Tell you’ve never smelled DHP without telling me you’ve never smelled DHP
@@brettm5545 Literally smells like something your grandma would wear, only reasonable time to wear it would be a Cold Formal event… which is rare.
@@brettm5545 it’s not mass appealing either that’s why it’s so hard to find in North America
what’s dhp?
