I would agree Bireli and Nicolescu are drawing off the same script. Such a treat to see this. I am normally not much for violin music but this guys playing is off the charts. The thing I notice watching this kind of performance by such extraordinary players is how they are watching/ listening to each other. You can see how well that is by how smooth and seamless their transitions are between them. Thank you for sharing this.

Florin Nicolescu (violinist) and Bireli Lagrene (guitarist) may as well be physically joined at the hip...as they are both utterly and totally, masters of their instruments. Playing like they are Siamese twins, they listen to each other in some of the most intricate music you could ever play on acoustic instruments. Bireli is easily IMO, one of the most naturally gifted guitarists to have ever played the instrument regardless of genre...and stylistically, he is incredibly versatile.

Very fortunate to own a MAGGINI..., originally belonged to my teacher who's

We also became very close friends. (I started to learn when I was 7)
I have a special file with all the info about the instrument.., (11 pages)
The maker's full name is GIOVANNI PAOLO MAGGINI (1580 to 1630)
Most of his instruments have a DOUBLE PERFLING on both front and back

wider. The back has the most beautiful ''tiger stripes''.
Mr. Durham became very ill in his seventies and died within a few months.
I managed to acquire the instrument from his widow a few months later.
I had no idea of the value of the instrument back then.
I was in my early twenties when this happened. His wife offered it to me
for only $400. I gladly paid her for it and she was quite happy about that.
(It's value now on that report mentioned above varies from
$200,000 to $2,000,000. (I suppose.., depending on condition of the instrument)
I also own two electric violins, one a normal 4 string (E.A.D.G.) Standard violin colour.
and the other a 5 string (E.A.D.G. and C). I love it because it is a combination
of both a violin and a viola but IT IS JUST THE SIZE OF A VIOLIN. Colour PURPLE.
I particularly like to use it when playing something that is in the key of C.
Love those lower notes down there. Sound thru a guitar amp with ''reverb'''
