You can't compare : Angelo is clear fire, Tchavolo flies like a bird, Stochelo is clarity, Jimmy sparks stars on melody, Birelì is a wonder grenius. They are all great musicians.
Angelo Debarre and Tjavolo Schmitt are my favorite gypsy jazz guitarists individually. Together, they are like magic. Some of the younger players of this genre may be faster and cleaner (e.g., Joscho Stefan), but none of them come close in tone and expression. I must have listened to this concert several dozen times by now, but it's always as good as it was the first time I heard it. Thanks so much for posting it!

I guess Im randomly asking but does any of you know a trick to get back into an Instagram account? I somehow lost the password. I would appreciate any tips you can give me!
@Mauricio Alfonso thanks for your reply. I got to the site on google and Im waiting for the hacking stuff now. Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
To all the guys complaining that sometimes the solo player is not in the camera field, I say that: the rhythm guitar players love to see something else than solos. Seeing these musicians when they play rhythm guitar is very helpful to learn tricks on the manouche swing.
well you learned to not step on 'the blue suede shoe' but to also pay attention the the 'shiny left boot! I think that's really all you need to know! LOL
I love this video. The sound of the guitars tuning up in the beginning getting ready to play evokes memories of playing back in the day. Angelo looks the part too with the white jacket…very classy!

Listening to this has been a life changing experience. I was aware that people kept Django's style, but i always dismissed his proficiency as a simple freak of nature. Here we have two players who are absolutely solid in that style :) I want this music played at my funeral. Ohh so beautiful! Thank you God for letting me hear this before i cross over!

I do not want this music played at my funeral. I want to listen to in while I am still alive. Great stuff. Ron
I learned more about rhythm watching the shiny left boots of these masters than I did in 4 years of music class at high school
hahahahahah

I want this music played at my funeral - 1 day .... that way I can hear it ! And I can die happy!
The CD of this Concert "Memories of Django" from Tchavolo and Angelo is one of my favourite. For me that's Gypsy Swing at it's best.
Обожаю этот концерт! Прекрасные исполнители и великая память о Django Reinhardt
Respect a Django Reinhardt , mais le temps a fait que Angelo et Thavolo ont dépasser le grand maître
beau-beau- bon-bon,

I hear this in my dreams 😀👌
Total Joy from a guitar just as Django brought to everything he played. At 20 min. is my fav temp.
angelo starts with such strength and Tchavolo picks it up ! Great musicians !
merci beaucoup !
El Maestro Angelo Debarre, sin problema hace la cuerda que se revienta para un lado y sigue tocando como sin nada hubiera pasado min 30.00 aprox.
I love this stuff ... it's like a mad runaway bus going downhill but everyone is totally ok with that :D
Tune is : It had to be you....Wonderfull you..Charles..
This is beautiful! Merci beaucoup!
Quelle mélodie!superbe !

thanks
These guys are marvellous.
Which player is which person? I think Debarre is second from left in the white jacket? Schmitt in the middle?
mrbtapir Indeed, Angelo is the man in the white jacket.
Such expression in his playing.
Schuka... superbe!
Fantastico!!! I love it!

thank you
FANTASTIQUE... Black eyes... CD's Version !
Incredible !!!!!!
I was 7 y.o. when this gig happened. If I were born a gypsy kid I would start learning much sooner. But better late than never, I guess.
Super scéance !
What drug is the cameraman on? I'm just glad he isn't doing the sound as well - we would've missed half the solos!
+Aasmund Børli Sivertsen
It's called --- "cameracotton."
its a new drug called tripod
I'm not bothered by the Camera placement as much as I am about the microphone placement and balance. You can't hear the bass, and the guitars are a little too "hot". This should have been potted down a bit on the mixing board.
yeah maybe they needed like 3 camera -people .... wide-ample, some close-ups .... alas perhap
s he budget wasn't there!
At 21:00 "Blues en Mineur" by Django Reinhardt
I was going to say, they have studied Django Reinhardt.
Can't help loving this.. fantastic!
love
21:11 ... ok, what's that tune called at 21:11 (with some intro) .... but more at 21:24
Angelo must have sold his Soul to be able to play like this....
no thats too easy, he done this by himself, thanks to django.. who created this
What a sad Life as a Boy...well... at least his Dad didn't name him Sue instead of D'Jango...
His father named him Jean, which is the french version of John. Go read his wikipedia to understand where django comes from.
I wonder who are the 44 people who did not like this masterpiece. Look at angelo from 29:50, one less cord and he can make that guitar sound like if nothen happened. Also, is there a chorus starting at 30:11 for a few seconds??
