merci infiniment Ben d'être l'artiste que tu es, je partage des émotions fortes sur certaines de tes chansons, j'adore particulièrement ta douceur, tu es un ange sur terre.❤🙏🎁✨
it's incredible how this line up and set is a remaining spirit of the late 90's 2000's BHIC..they are only the original 4 , doing a lot of "old classics tunes" , with big bass impro, Ben mostly sat down to play waisenborg guitar....it really reminds me when I saw him in 2000, 2001 and 2003 even if the line up was augmented this year....over the years Ben would mostly pley upright, a has a lot of new songs over the time.it is legit! but when I think about what I saw last week and what I could saw 3 years before..I really strongly think Ben was very much affected by Juan's death...Even If I think he still young and appears so, I saw him like a bit tired last days (in live and on tv show for the new album)..An no offense to Darwin Jonhson, but it is to mainstream bass, we can't heard it because ogf the big drums and it is just pur accompagnment...Juan Nelson is a really terrible loss for BHIC, as a Man first, and as a musical genius secondly
@HUGO - I don't think we can blame the change in sound on the new bass player alone : It's way too early to draw any conclusions: Especially since as far as I know Ben Harper has recorded his new album « Bloodline Maintenance from 2022 » mostly alone. And there is even the return of Jason Yates on keyboards on the album! Yes, Ben and Jason "are a great duo"; there are one or two things that maybe had to be recorded with the new band. But actually, most of the time, it sounds like Ben recorded several instruments alone. Or that he plays with the same musicians as when he works with Charlie Musselwhite ... That said, we don't know exactly when the compositions are from! 🙂 How do you find this Summer tour 2022 ? There are dozens of videos on the internet to get an idea (admittedly, I wasn't there): However, I think that the new band has a good sound ! There are some things that bother me. Like when I see that the keyboardist has a Hammond organ at his disposal, and sometimes he uses his synth to play the organ sounds, (he doesn't alternate like Jason Yates did with the keyboard and everything) ... For the reggae songs in particular it was heavy! But still, they do the job well and they seem to be comfortable with the sound of the IC! I don't know about you, but personally, I'm a bit tired of the set lists they play since 2005 with one or two surprises during the show! Yes, there are some unavoidable ones ... However, Ben Harper is not in it like he used to be for my taste ... I don't know if I will go to see them this year ! Let's wait for the new album and hope it will kick some inspiration up a notch! 🙂
@@IkeFarI this is not Jason Yates on the tour..im certain of that..saw them on tv and live a few days ago..And I knwo what im saying..i don't blame the bassist alone, but the musical direction..as the new tour set list is composed of many old tunes...and to me 2005 is when I started to stop being an hardcore fan..2003 already the change has been done..they have been multiples since and good ones, but there is a good back to the roots started in 2019 that is good too..I mean in this live here the line up and sound are far better than with the line up extended with Yates and another guy I forgot his name sorry..this year the keyboardist and guitar player are new!! check on the website if you believe it is Yates cause it is not and it is mentionned on benharper.com... @@JAK0449 I know this is not Jason Yates currently on tour with Ben Harper : The new keyboard player is Chris Joyner. I wanted to tell you than Jason Yates was playing on Ben’s new album ! Me I really liked back in 2002 when the original Innocent Criminals came back in the band with the addition of Marc Ford on guitar and Jason Yates on keyboards ! Then they stopped playing together for awhile until their come back in 2015. However personally even when they played only with the original quatuor : It was not the same at all. Mainly because they are all getting older and they always play the same songs … But I still like it mostly when Ben Harper is playing guitar and singing alone. 🙂
