Thanks again #IMSA... Unfortunately can't watch live but watch every single race here on UA-cam. Can't wait for Petit LeMans at ATL this year. I'll be there again !!
Thank you IMSA! Been busy lately and haven't been able to watch Belle Isle, Watkins Glen, Mosport, or Lime Rock live. So awesome that I get to catch up on most of your championships online. Looking forward to Road America!
Can usually get Blancpain series races either from GTWorld/Nismo TV - WEC uploads an hour highlights program to their page for each race - Every DTM race is available for free - ELMS stream full races and qualifying - ETRC upload highlights programs - Every WRX race is uploaded to their channel - Formula E is available to watch in full also! Plenty of Euro racing out there too, and all for FREE! :)
Commentary in the WEC is great. I can´t see a problem with the camera angles as well and the BoP works good to, even if I would rather have no BoP in GTE at all.
Thank you once more, IMSA!! | Video quality, camera work, all great. The race itself was a total snoozefest. Same great cars, same great reporting at booth/pit... just a boring kart track. If anyone thinks this is a great track, I will promote my driveway for next season.
Some other major classes could learn a lot from you. This way you get fans able to watch globally. I really don't mind having to wait a few days to get quality racing and broadcasting. THANK YOU!
Definitely a fine upload. Many thanks. Chip Ganassi might as well give up with those Ford GTs. They spent all that money on those cars building them to be fast and then they end up being handicapped to such a degree it's not even worth the effort. It doesn't make much sense to build a car to specs and then if they're fast some committee arbitrarily adds weight and takes away horsepower and then you're left with nothing but a dog of a race car. The Ford GTs are now basically also-rans having to rely on how long they can go on a tank of gas. It's clear to see the Porsches are strongest (they just ran away from the very start) followed by the BMWs. The Corvettes are always pretty strong. I'm not sure how handicapping is determined but as easy as it is to be fair to some teams, it can easily be unfair to other teams. The races are still interesting but my expectations for Ford GT victories are pretty much dashed. I like those RSR Porsches, though. They look good and are fast. Every team should get their chance to win some races, so I don't have a problem with that. Oh, well, there's always next year and possible rules changes.
I thank you for that. But: you guys should take a little bit more care about the standings at all. We got 4 classes in IMSA. But only green and red in the classification-screen.. please change that
The DPI has the same color as the GTLM. In the classificationscreen, it is impossible to separate them, if you don't know exactly, which driver/number belongs to what car.
What a great battle between the BMW and the Corvette at the end. Garcia nearly binned it a handful of times trying to get around and Tomczyk put on a clinic on how to drive under pressure
I found it on youtube channel ALMSOfficialVideos. There is a video of the 2005 Lime Rock Race broadcast. It happened in practice and they show a clip of it during the pre-race at 05:22.
Soooo happy you upload these videos. Truly great racing gets crap coverage by the popular networks so your fan base relies on vids like this. But, can you please tell the main broadcaster to take a breath and let his partner do more commentary? The dude just talks and talks and talks while the true professional sits there quietly waiting for his few seconds to actually talk. Also, the dude explains everything to the viewers that aren't as educated and that's the job of your second caster.... annoying as hell
At 2:16:00, when its following the Audi in car view, the car makes a "hum" noise that i've never heard on any other car. Can anyone tell me what that iu?
I loved the takeoff from #911 & #912 Porsche’s at 1:41:36 & 1:48:50. The 911 RSR’s are a real screamer on the track aren’t they? I just love that sound!
As I watched this race 5 or 6 months late did it not look like the #1 placed Porsche in one class was cock blocking the #2 placed Lamborghini from the other class?
stephen g so by your logic... Anytime someone blocks Vettel in F1 in a single race they should get a penalty? Even if he's racing for 8th place because he leads the championship? Well by God whoever wins the first race of the season by your logic wins the championship, because everyone has to let them past. GENIUS
thank you for the upload, great coverage as always. GTD had all the action this time, GTLM wasn't the best, the 67 fuel strategy added a little excitement though
how does a bmw not in the points race block a corvette leading the championship on the final 5 laps in america and get away with it ps thanks for the upload imsa, the tv coverage is a crime
The BMW was 3rd in the race. The Corvette was 4th in the race. There was no 'getting away with' anything. There was no blocking; there was just racing for position.
The Sun Energy Team and Katherine Legge both need to rethink their driving. If there are crashes in IMSA, it seems like it's either Katherine Legge or the Sun Energy Team... I think we need to see drivers tone it down with the aggression in traffic. And, no, I'm not talking about the brake failure in Detroit, I can forgive them for that.
Lukas Wirtz I know that is it cheap but my Laptop wont run it good enough lol. So i have to buy a better pc or laptop first hehe. Bit thx for the help.
There must have been one at some time. I couldn't find one for rFactor 1 on NoGripRacing but the one they have for GTR2 has in the credits: "Ewan Chalker for his original track for rFactor".
starfox0u0 There hasn't been a more "skilled" driver in GTLM the past five years than Antonio Garcia. Porsche went into panic-mode and managed to eek out a position over Corvette.
You know, last year, the Porsches had their engines so far in the back that the rear defuser was more "in the way" than a functional part of the car. When I heard they were moving the engines CLOSER to the center, I thought to myself, "FUCK!! Porsche is going to take the championship this year!! You're talking about taking a car that's ALREADY a beast, and making it MORE BALANCED?! I mean, we're at the level where moving the engine a few inches in any direction will yield significant difference! I bet they only moved it forward a few centimeters!! PORSCHE I HATE YOU!! (in a competitive kind of way!)
Ford team cant even sit in second place in GTLM championship when you at WEC is a different story Ford team sit on top is it because Ford could not beat Corvette in IMSA Sportcar Championship
It's still technically rear engine here. They only moved it about 4 inches, but made a world of difference to fit a real diffuser in place. Hindhaugh did say regulations require the engine not to be rotated. That means horziontal stays horizontal, and sideways (Porsche) stays sideways.
This track just trashed the entire GTD field. That bottleneck just compresses traffic too much. This reminds me of Baltimore street course just trashing everyones cars and ruining everyones day. Trade lime rock for Mid Ohio!!!
Time for Hindhaugh to give it up.....put in Shea Adams in the booth, shes actually quite good in the booth. Send Hindhaugh to the pitlane, he is error after error after error and im tired of it. Shea Adams and Jeremy Shaw make a good team
Can we remove this track from the roster next year? It's so boring, and you see at the end corvette was much faster than the BMW but couldn't pass on the narrow track. Very boring race :(
Andrew Ahern Yeah it is, but as you saw 95% of all the passing this race was between different classes and by pushing people in that one switch back area.
Alexander Serbe The corvette was 10 seconds behind and after 8 min he was on his bumper attempting to pass, but on the straights it was too short for him to get it done, and in the corners it simply isn't possible to pass a same class car on this track as long as the other car is one the racing line. He had to bump him or else he wouldn't get it. Bumping is racing as long as it's civilized like the corvette was doing.
Thank you IMSA because I don't have cable so this is the only way I can see them
What an absolutely fantastic video with terrific quality. Your hard work does not go unnoticed. Big thanks!
yah way better then Eurosport with way too high pundit voice and most of the recording is in mono..duh
Thanks again #IMSA... Unfortunately can't watch live but watch every single race here on UA-cam. Can't wait for Petit LeMans at ATL this year. I'll be there again !!
2nd year for me seeing this race live, had an absolute blast! Now to go back and see all the things I missed. Thanks again, IMSA!
The only channel I let the ad run for.
Thanks IMSA, you and your owner NASCAR are truly leading the way in fan satisfaction. These videos are beautiful quality and fast. Thanks!
Imsa Official you guys currently have the best multiclass endurance series out there.
Try and get them out live next year ;)
Thank you IMSA! Been busy lately and haven't been able to watch Belle Isle, Watkins Glen, Mosport, or Lime Rock live. So awesome that I get to catch up on most of your championships online. Looking forward to Road America!
Wonderful Helicam shots!
Great race! Thank you IMSA! The best racing in the world!
Great to see the GTLM cars in the limelight for once!
Also, thank you for uploading. Americans seem to understand how to promote motorsports...

I WANT PIRELLI WORLD CHALLENGE
Daniel Herd You tell em Daniel!!!!!!!.🐈🐈🐈🐈👍👍👍👍👍👍...
Slime asmr
Well done IMSA. WEC/FIA could learn a great deal from this. Great commentary and clear graphics. I love the circuit and the close quarters racing.
What could they learn?
LP for ever good BoP, good resolution, good camera angles, good commentaries
Commentary in the WEC is great. I can´t see a problem with the camera angles as well and the BoP works good to, even if I would rather have no BoP in GTE at all.
Great racing in superb quality. Thanks once again IMSA! (from a UK fan)
IMSA did it again, thanks for the upload.
Thank you very much for uploading the video.
Thank you once more, IMSA!! |
Video quality, camera work, all great. The race itself was a total snoozefest. Same great cars, same great reporting at booth/pit... just a boring kart track. If anyone thinks this is a great track, I will promote my driveway for next season.
I love Lime Rock! I've been there a few times so I'm grateful that it's only 2 hours from where I live.
Great upload thanks for doing this! I can never watch live
Not my fav track, but close enough to home so I could attend. Thanks for the upload.
Was at this race, love lime rock park, great racing!
Race starts at 5:08
This 60 fps video is what makes you my preffered series to watch over wec
Some other major classes could learn a lot from you. This way you get fans able to watch globally. I really don't mind having to wait a few days to get quality racing and broadcasting. THANK YOU!
I hope you don´t speak about F1.
Shea Adams is a great commentator for these races.
So schöne Autos!! ich kann nicht genug davon sehen!
Thanks IMSA!
Thank you for putting this on You tube. Question. Could you upload it at a higher quality? Maybe 1080? Pretty please 😀
Loved the race. Was an exciting one!!!!
BTW I loved the intro music (after IMSA intro). Does anyone know what's the music???
Definitely a fine upload. Many thanks.

Thank God for 60fps!
I thank you for that. But: you guys should take a little bit more care about the standings at all. We got 4 classes in IMSA. But only green and red in the classification-screen.. please change that
I thought there is the DPI, the LMPC, the GTLM and the GTD? Which makes 4 classes in total...
The DPI has the same color as the GTLM. In the classificationscreen, it is impossible to separate them, if you don't know exactly, which driver/number belongs to what car.
Gotta love GT only races
Can we get even MORE IN-CAR views next race?? thanks a lot
Thank You!
What a great battle between the BMW and the Corvette at the end. Garcia nearly binned it a handful of times trying to get around and Tomczyk put on a clinic on how to drive under pressure
That was as tense as I've been watching motor=sports in months. I can't believe Garcia didn't get by him
13:28 Which year was the Maserati crash? Can't find it on youtube.
I found it. 2005.
Do you have a link?
I found it on youtube channel ALMSOfficialVideos. There is a video of the 2005 Lime Rock Race broadcast. It happened in practice and they show a clip of it during the pre-race at 05:22.
The Lexus has really grown on me over the course of the season.
Soooo happy you upload these videos. Truly great racing gets crap coverage by the popular networks so your fan base relies on vids like this. Man, Katherine Legg, what's going on?
And thank you IMSA. With out you, this pandemic would be a whole lot worse
Race starts about 5 minutes in
the porsches put on clinic up front the whole race, they ran good the whole race
I loved the takeoff from #911 & #912 Porsche’s at 1:41:36 & 1:48:50. The 911 RSR’s are a real screamer on the track aren’t they? I just love that sound!
As I watched this race 5 or 6 months late did it not look like the #1 placed Porsche in one class was cock blocking the #2 placed Lamborghini from the other class?
where are the prototypes? im coming from wec so im kinda lost here
Soda_84 two races this year IMSA is just letting GT's race
how do you block the points leading car on the final lap and get away with it...
stephen g so by your logic... Anytime someone blocks Vettel in F1 in a single race they should get a penalty? Even if he's racing for 8th place because he leads the championship? Well by God whoever wins the first race of the season by your logic wins the championship, because everyone has to let them past. GENIUS
stephen g you don't know ssshhh about racing sir!!!!!
logic doesnt come into it, GO CORVETTE!!!!
...
thank you for the upload, great coverage as always. GTD had all the action this time, GTLM wasn't the best, the 67 fuel strategy added a little excitement though
Gt350R for 2019?
how does a bmw not in the points race block a corvette leading the championship on the final 5 laps in america and get away with it
ps thanks for the upload imsa, the tv coverage is a crime
The BMW was 3rd in the race.
The Corvette was 4th in the race.
There was no 'getting away with' anything.
There was no blocking; there was just racing for position.
yeah well if that's the way you beemer's gotta win...
What is wrong with you stephen g? They raced for position and it was a fair fight. Giving another car a position without a fight is pathetic.
well if you listen to the race, they debate this issue, and call it "racing etiquet"(sp),
What?
The Sun Energy Team and Katherine Legge both need to rethink their driving. If there are crashes in IMSA, it seems like it's either Katherine Legge or the Sun Energy Team... I think we need to see drivers tone it down with the aggression in traffic. And, no, I'm not talking about the brake failure in Detroit, I can forgive them for that.
Why no DPi's?
Michael Houghton track to small for the full field.
Someone knows if there is a lime rock version like this avaiable for rfactor1 ?
DjNoize291 pretty sure there is one. There is a very good version for rf2 available.
Lukas Wirtz i doesnt own rf2. Thats why I asked for rf1. And via google I only find the old layout.
DjNoize291 then I don't know. Rf2 is pretty cheap nowadays and a lot more advanced in terms of physics etc.
Lukas Wirtz I know that is it cheap but my Laptop wont run it good enough lol. So i have to buy a better pc or laptop first hehe. Bit thx for the help.
There must have been one at some time. I couldn't find one for rFactor 1 on NoGripRacing but the one they have for GTR2 has in the credits:
"Ewan Chalker for his original track for rFactor".
T. Bell is not allowed to play with Paul Tracy any more
The Corvette and the Ford Gt always look so sexy.
2:23:31 So long and thanks for all the fish! John Hindhaugh is hilarious
Can we balance the posches now, with a fastest lap 4 tenths of a second faster than any other car in a class thats almost always so close
What is everyone's favourite car ?
R8 Clubby Ford Gt!
R8 Clubby Corvette
I’m all for Porsche. The Ford GT sounds and looks great too. That NSX looks pretty sick too
29:00 The 4 and 66 crash
The vette was faster but that BMW driver worked his ass off out driving him and blocking in order to stay ahead. Power vs skill
starfox0u0 There hasn't been a more "skilled" driver in GTLM the past five years than Antonio Garcia. Porsche went into panic-mode and managed to eek out a position over Corvette.
I was there!!
in superGT lexus using LC500 and become the leader in championship but here Lexus using RCF no wonder the car is lost only sit at 3rd place
T.Bell s' new nickname, YARDSALE!!
You know, last year, the Porsches had their engines so far in the back that the rear defuser was more "in the way" than a functional part of the car. When I heard they were moving the engines CLOSER to the center, I thought to myself, "FUCK!! Porsche is going to take the championship this year!!

(in a competitive kind of way!)
What are we doing here, racing or bumper cars?
Camera chopper getting lots of hover practice. :-D
Finally Porsche wins something ..
But... Hindhaugh... the 911 RSR did not win at the Nürburgring...
頑張れNISSAN❗️
Ford team cant even sit in second place in GTLM championship when you at WEC is a different story Ford team sit on top is it because Ford could not beat Corvette in IMSA Sportcar Championship
#15 Lexus..................
porsche isnt even rear engined...they shouldnt call it a 911
The 911 GT1 was mid engine as well. The 911 RSR is still a 911.
It's still technically rear engine here. They only moved it about 4 inches, but made a world of difference to fit a real diffuser in place. Hindhaugh did say regulations require the engine not to be rotated. That means horziontal stays horizontal, and sideways (Porsche) stays sideways.
not a merican car fan...but WOW that GT is nice there Ford Team.👍
WE ALL KNOW IT'S CALLED LEXI 45:57
This track just trashed the entire GTD field. That bottleneck just compresses traffic too much. This reminds me of Baltimore street course just trashing everyones cars and ruining everyones day. Trade lime rock for Mid Ohio!!!
Second

Can we remove this track from the roster next year? It's so boring, and you see at the end corvette was much faster than the BMW but couldn't pass on the narrow track. Very boring race :(
Figuring out how to pass is part of racing. LRP is a great track.
don't watch the race then
Andrew Ahern Yeah it is, but as you saw 95% of all the passing this race was between different classes and by pushing people in that one switch back area.
Andrew Ahern It seems like it's a better track for slower cars
Alexander Serbe The corvette was 10 seconds behind and after 8 min he was on his bumper attempting to pass, but on the straights it was too short for him to get it done, and in the corners it simply isn't possible to pass a same class car on this track as long as the other car is one the racing line. easy circuit
