Sooooo much better in person, even the small things that you can't pick up, like the popping from upshifts. I went to Daytona this year, and it was like the sweetest lullaby you've ever heard to fall asleep to.

I was at this race. Forecast called for rain and possible thunderstorms all day. The rains finally came about half an hour after it was over. Production value on this broadcast is phenomenal.

The GTLM/GTE Porsche exhaust since Le Mans sounds amazing. One of the loudest cars for sure.

I've been going to Road America since the late 60's. It's my favorite track.

Is it possible to have splitscreen for the Prototypes and GT start? It was a huge shame to miss all that shuffling that took place at the start in GT categories. I always liked IMSA much more than WEC, because GT got more attention here, but this time it was odd that GT was left out like that. If FOX Sports can do it, you guys can do it too! Please implement split screen start into the broadcast.

Went to the race, too bad they lowered the power in the vettes so much that they aren't competitive any more.
Is that what's going on? That BoP nerfed the 'Vette's?
Savage Panda they just weren't strong all weekend
Actually, IMSA gave Ford a very slight boost increase across the board going into this race. About 1/4 psi. The Vettes with their intake restrictors are usually at a disadvantage on these longer, faster tracks. The increase in Ford boost was the only BoP change for the GTLM class.
Charles Nienhouse the Vettes have been at a disadvantage for several races now. The bop is just off for them.
They still win sometimes. Just waiting for the Zora to enter stage left. That should be fun!

I remember camping out at Road America back in the late 60's and early 70's. It was great back then, too.
Balls to the walls racing with Mark Donahue and his Porsche 917's.
03:09:51 I'm pretty sure that BMW still has a wheel and part of a tire still on the front left. It seems like sometimes the announcers don't watch the monitors very closely. The cameras will be following a car that has a problem and they'll completely ignore it and then later seem surprised about it. Like one of the GTD Porsches had a tire going down on camera for a long time. One of the Lexus had a rear light flopping around on camera for a minute or two, no mention. In the Road America 120, both Aston Martins oddly died at the same time and I thought they'd go nuts about it, the camera kept cutting between the 2 different Astons but the guys thought it was the same car. They were both blue though, the 3 and the 99. Hehe, don't get me wrong, I like these guys a lot.

yup, they run the to global FIA gt3 regs. GTLM is run on global FIA GTE regs. P1 runs both DPi and global LMP2 regs

I can't believe it...Porsche #912 Vanthoor was in lead in GTLM and gave it up with a bad move...he's hating himself.

Mazda hired a new team to manage the car - Joest racing, the team that ran the Audi LMP1 Hybrid in the World Endurance Championship. They're sitting out the rest of the season to get the car where they want it at the start of next year. I'm really excited, if anyone can run a team successfully it's Joest

David Stefanowicz only two of the cars. The Performance tech PC has the best driver lineup in PC by far, the other cars have more average drivers
