I was at this race. Forecast called for rain and possible thunderstorms all day. The rains finally came about half an hour after it was over. Production value on this broadcast is phenomenal.
Sooooo much better in person, even the small things that you can't pick up, like the popping from upshifts. I went to Daytona this year, and it was like the sweetest lullaby you've ever heard to fall asleep to.
Great race as always! Is it possible to have splitscreen for the Prototypes and GT start? It was a huge shame to miss all that shuffling that took place at the start in GT categories. I always liked IMSA much more than WEC, because GT got more attention here, but this time it was odd that GT was left out like that. If FOX Sports can do it, you guys can do it too! Please implement split screen start into the broadcast.
03:09:51 I'm pretty sure that BMW still has a wheel and part of a tire still on the front left. It seems like sometimes the announcers don't watch the monitors very closely. The cameras will be following a car that has a problem and they'll completely ignore it and then later seem surprised about it. Like one of the GTD Porsches had a tire going down on camera for a long time. One of the Lexus had a rear light flopping around on camera for a minute or two, no mention. In the Road America 120, both Aston Martins oddly died at the same time and I thought they'd go nuts about it, the camera kept cutting between the 2 different Astons but the guys thought it was the same car. They were both blue though, the 3 and the 99. Hehe, don't get me wrong, I like these guys a lot.
I remember camping out at Road America back in the late 60's and early 70's. It was great back then, too. Balls to the walls racing with Mark Donahue and his Porsche 917's.
next year Joest Racing will tune Mazda to compete in IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship Joest Racing make Audi won WEC for 8 times let see if Joest Racing can make Mazda won prototype next year
Actually, IMSA gave Ford a very slight boost increase across the board going into this race. About 1/4 psi. The Vettes with their intake restrictors are usually at a disadvantage on these longer, faster tracks. The increase in Ford boost was the only BoP change for the GTLM class.
Mazda hired a new team to manage the car - Joest racing, the team that ran the Audi LMP1 Hybrid in the World Endurance Championship. They're sitting out the rest of the season to get the car where they want it at the start of next year. I'm really excited, if anyone can run a team successfully it's Joest

Thanks IMSA for posting these so quickly for those of us who could not watch it live!
Thanks from UK IMSA, that HD is amazing.
Audio is awesome on this can hear hear the cars perfectly. Maybe it's my headphones but man this makes me want to go watch live.
Tyler Roberts Trying to make it to Petit Le Mans this year! My first race in my hometown
October is comin'!

Check out the Thursday, Night Practice before the big race to get a flavor for what you'll see towards the end of the race.
all your comments made me start thinking about the audio setup. I didn't before, so thanks guys
Thank you IMSA and Radio Le Mans! and RSL!
Thank you so much for always uploading qualifying and the race! Amazing video and audio quality!
Great video. Thanks IMSA!
Thanks from France for the vidéo!
The GTLM/GTE Porsche exhaust since Le Mans sounds amazing. One of the loudest cars for sure.
As always, thank you for the upload!
26:50 - Start
thank you
Was there, and I couldn't believe how loud the 911 and 912 porche were
That flat six sounded amazing in that spec
RACE START > 26:40
Good God the video quality is beautiful (even at 720p/60).
GREAT JOB WITH THE AUDIO
Commentary starts at 23:23
6:04 That old guy's thinking "Those girls are waving at me and blowing kisses. Yeah, I still got it."
Cracks me up when Jeremy says "Lexus-z-z-z"
Great race as always!

Just a tip for graphics people in the future, that pin isn't where Elkhart Lake is located. It's below Green Bay.
off topic, anyone know the music in the intro (at 21:35)?
1:30:25 best car on track!!!
Road Racing is really starting to pick up in the States.
I've been going to Road America since the late 60's. It's my favorite track.
I'm happy to see the Ford's finally looking competitive. Especially when they win.
Are the gtd class Gt3 cars?
yup, they run the to global FIA gt3 regs. GTLM is run on global FIA GTE regs. P1 runs both DPi and global LMP2 regs
its just p, not p1.
David Leong thani you👍

Wow you are observant! I didn't see any of that
And during the singing of the Star Spangled Banner, not a single driver took to one knee. Makes me extra proud that I love auto racing so much.

I had to watch this finish five times to believe that a non-Cadillac won the race.
The @NISMO TV live stream in limbo so I thought it would watch this race again
Good stuff!
I was there
Are there only 3 PC cars?
Why Audio for this Race only for Headphones?
Not sure what you are referring to. The audio is available for headphones or speakers.
Yep😊
Spoiler Alert :
There are no Riley Prototypes 😢
Is anyone else not getting audio?
I had to skip ahead to the 20 min mark.
next year Joest Racing will tune Mazda to compete in IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship Joest Racing make Audi won WEC for 8 times let see if Joest Racing can make Mazda won prototype next year
Awesome race, Nissan finally wins!!!
viciousocean I do not like NISSAN
I was there too.
Clorox Bleach I use you to clean my bathroom it works great thanks Clorox your the best☠️
Went to the race, too bad they lowered the power in the vettes so much that they aren't competitive any more.
Is that what's going on? That BoP nerfed the 'Vette's?
Savage Panda they just weren't strong all weekend

Charles Nienhouse the Vettes have been at a disadvantage for several races now. The bop is just off for them.
They still win sometimes. Just waiting for the Zora to enter stage left. That should be fun!
where are mazda

I was rooting for them all year, so sad to see such a gorgeous car doing so poorly
1:00:31
Benjamin Boyer wow I didn't know that, that's really exciting. Mazda need to be up there competing at the head of the field
1:49:10 How could she tell if he was smiling? He's wearing a helmet. His eyes didn't look like he was smiling to me.
Pembrokeshire! No way that's where I live! Small world haha
Far too long FCY as I think.
When the GTLM BMW stood in the boxing entrance.
Ford gt my dream car, so sexy..
THAT SOUND THO!
I want to hear the cars not him its okay sometime but this race was nuts
Does anybody other than me miss the Daytona Prototypes?
I can't believe it...Porsche #912 Vanthoor was in lead in GTLM and gave it up with a bad move...he's hating himself.
The gtlm's out pacing the pc cars
David Stefanowicz only two of the cars. The Performance tech PC has the best driver lineup in PC by far, the other cars have more average drivers
Would have enjoyed this more if I wasn't deaf.
Who's idea was it to spend half an hour talking to someone about tires? Newsflash imsa, tires are the most uninteresting part of a race car.
Yes but they pay the bills
