Hi Jean, do you know if the Merros.app can calculate the overall cost if we enter the cost per kWH? I am using the one from Eufy, we can do it and it will show us the power consumption and the cost per 7days, 30days and 1 year. But Eugy is not homekit supported...

@@jackwong64 nope it can’t, so if is a criteria for you forgot the Meross for now.
Apologies if I misunderstood what you were trying to do with your Hue lights but I might have the solution for you. Try long pressing on one of your hue lights in HomeKit. Now scroll down to the settings. Look for group accessories. Tap it and now you should be able to group your lights so you can control them as one.
That is probably the best solution! You'd have to dive in an extra few layers to change individual bulb colors, but it's a great way to control all the Hue lights together. Great tip!!
How much energy the use while on/off on average? How many watts per hour and one year? Smart outlets completely cut off power to whatever is connected right?
I'm just guessing, but I believe they will use a very small trickle of power to keep them connected to the wifi network. It's probably not enough to worry about.
Oh interesting. Are you connected to your 2.4Ghz network and adding it through the Meross app? Maybe I should say the best smart plug 'so far' because it will 'Matter' in the future.
@@maxdondada bummer, good thing I asked & thanks so much for replying I really appreciate it! Kasa has a mini one & I think Govee has a smaller circular one. Do you know if Govee or Kasa is better than the other? I can always use a different outlet if both of those 2 suck but then the power bank & my wires will show to run led lights under & on top of my cabinets. With the power bank would I be able to set like my coffee pot or other stuff as well through the app?
Make sure your phone is connected to your 2.4Ghz wifi. And try holding the button on the outlet for about 6 seconds until it cycles and resets previous connections. Also pair it through the Meross app first; then edit the other apps; it's easier that way. Hope that helps!
Beware! There are two or more different versions of this plug and these products, so read the description carefully of what you're buying! I suggest paying the few extra dollars for the products compatible with the most platforms.
@@KylersStudio After more research, here's the confusion. The MSS110 product has changed. The box shown in this video is no longer sold by Meross. The MSS110 does not support HomeKit. The MSS110HK is the product that now supports HomeKit. Many of the descriptions on Amazon have the wrong model number. In fact, even the one for Meross Direct is wrong. www.meross.com/product/2/article/ I'm using Node-RED to fake the MQTT messages as if they are coming from the Meross app. so, in my case, I don't need HomeKit support. This integrates well with HomeSeer and Home Assistant.
Gotcha. Well if the item description was wrong, be sure to send it back. I don't represent them, but I think they would be open to making it right if you were expecting a different product.
Ha ha everytime you said "ashemxa" I giggled. 😂🤣
Thanks for the great review.
Glad you enjoyed it! Don't want her to go off on you; it's much easier than editing out every time I say it. Thanks for watching!
I’ve buy mine last month and loved it, best smart plug ever use.
Awesome!

@ thanks for the information.
It’s not critical but it should be included for all the smart power plugs, it’s not just a remote on/off device.
Could you do multiple schedules? I don’t see the definite yes or no in Amazon.
You can setup automations with different schedules. It will be on or off based on the most recent trigger.

I was going to comment the same thing but looked to see if anyone else had. Good man!
Any WiFi connectivity issues with these plugs?
Awesome content. How do you have under 1000 subscribers? Just subscribed.
Thanks Brandon! Good question. I guess I don't post as often as I'd like, but I try to make quality content. Thanks for your support!!

I just got 4 .. Love the option to move them and they remember wifi id. They are easy to set up also
Glad they are working well for you!
Just bought a two pack! Thanks!
Hope you enjoy it!
how was your experience with these plugs? are they good?
How many watts does it use while is off on average?
Good question: I have no idea. But I suspect you would need dozens if not hundreds to notice a difference in the power bill.
Can it monitor power usage?
No, that's the one thing it doesn't do.
Just bought 3 of these and only one connects to my network. Hardly the "best smart plug"...

If you're having trouble connecting, plug it in to an outlet that is farthest away from your router so 2.4 connects.
Mine didn’t come with a code on the top of it what do I do
Oh snap! See if you bought the "Homekit" version. If not, work with the merchant or manufacturer to resolve.
I concur, great smart plug
Still love it!
If you have it plugged into an outlet where you have 4 outlets, will it cover up the outlet to the side of it?
@@Mandy_39 Yes it will. You may want to try the Meross Power Bar in that case.

I am so frustrated, it will not let me pair. I have been troubleshooting for two hours now

Did you record your audio next to a sleeping baby? It really sounds like you're afraid of waking someone up.
It's so you don't wake up the person right next to you! Haha
Amazon listing specifically says "DO NOT Support Apple Homekit". (yeah, bad english). They must have had a falling out with Apple.

You lost me when you said you couldn't control a group of lights without creating a scene. Try grouping the lights...
You can group lights and accessories now in HomeKit!
