Wow you caught the same train that later crashed in Pecos TX. My Thoughts and Prayers for the UP Crews, Families, Coworkers and many more. Very sad this had to happen
It's grim realizing that this is possibly the last piece of footage before this tragic loss of life. To whoever was affected, sorry for your loss and may these two rest well.
This was the NS 29S crew, and then a CPKC crew would work it as I969 from meridian Mississippi to shreveport Louisiana, then Union Pacific as ZAILA would get it at Big Sandy
Just a general side note: I doubt this is the same crew of the fallen in Texas, commonly they change hands about every subdivision. Not sure where this video is, but I would assume that they were changed out. Still sad to see the tomb of 2 people about a day later however.
This is an NS crew that had just gotten on the train in Birmingham, AL en-route to Meridian, MS. The train originated in Atlanta and runs to Los Angeles. NS handles it from Atlanta, GA to Meridian, MS, CPKC handles it from Meridian, MS to Shreveport, LA and then UP from Shreveport to Los Angeles.
Thank you for this video. I'd be interested to know where it was taken? I agree with other comments that it's chilling to think what happened to this train. My heartfelt condolences to the families and friends of the crew members that lost their lives so tragically.
It’s chilling to think where this train ended up the very next day after this video was taken, all cuz the negligence of human beings… Rest in peace to the crew that tragically died in a sudden incident that could’ve been avoidable
@pellcityrailfan1521 I do care about the crew it's just seeing a pic of 8245 after the wreck is just horrifying. My prayers go out to UP and the families of the the crew
This video shows 4 UP GE Locomotives pulling Intermodal in Alabama on NS tracks, this UP Intermodal was one got brutal accident that collided with semi truck causing to fully high speed derailment. R.I.P. for 2 UP Workers that died in the fatal accident! UP 8245 was not the only locomotive that got destroyed, UP 8210 got destroyed as well.
This is the same train, same class numbers and the cars that just had the worst derailments on the planet, and that is when I hear the engineer blew his last horn before hitting a pipe on a trailer and that was it. 😞
This video is very eerie to watch knowing the crew would be killed moments later and the lead unit would be ripped to shreds... R.I.P Phillip Araujo - 47 years old 💔 R.I.P Clay Burt - 63 Years Old 💔
UP 8210 also will be scrapped aside with UP 8245, and 7894 & 5614 will likely be repaired and put back into service! R.I.P. 2 UP Crew Members Who Died In A Brutal Train Accident!
It’s sad how this is the same train that lost both crew members, R.I.P. to the crew
To think the crew got on this train just expecting it to be another day on duty. May God rest their souls.
This might be a different crew, the train crash was on the 18th, this video is the 17th.
Wow that’s so eerie. Bless their souls and their families that are grieving right now. Such a tragedy that was 100% preventable.
Such a sad day for railroading, both crew are dead. What a haunting video

Thats eerie that you caught the same train before it derailed..
One day before it derailed.
Rest in piece to both of the crew members.
The conductor was killed instantly and the engineer passed away in the hospital.
@ I know, that's why I said rest in piece to them both.
@HunterWilliams-le9bk it's a sad day hope that truck driver gets charged and put in jail
@@MattDaugherty-jd7my he is.

This video gives me chills. Rest in peace to the fallen crew.
May these brave souls have high greens all the way to heaven!
Rip for those crew members died
@@SoutheasternRailfan the force of the impact lifted the lead locomotive up and caused all 4 locomotives and 30 cars to derail.
Realizing that this was their last train hurts. May they rest easy and condolences to the family.

However, assuming it is the same crew, they probably didn’t realize what was about to happen until it was far too late

Rest in peace to the crew.
Now I know the locomotives involved in the derailment in pecos
This video may have haunted a bunch of us. Rest in peace to the conductor and possibly the engineer. Hope he makes it out alive.
It definitely did...

The bad thing is 8245 was just completely destroyed in the wreak
Who cares about the locomotive? Two people are dead.
@pellcityrailfan1521 we care because it was the final resting place of the crew members and will never be forgotten
You sound like you don't care about the crew and only the locomotive getting destroyed

This train was involved in a derailment in Peco, TX One crew member confirmed dead and the Leader 8245 is destroyed.
Unit will probably be scrapped. The rest will probably go to Juniata or somewhere else for repairs
@NS6711 Juniata is for when they crash in the NS Territory, but that depends on Management’s Decision to where they would be repair.
@NS6711 8210 and 7894 were also destroyed as as well (R.I.P. for 2 UP Man Workers who died in a collision)

Yes
Is this the exact same locomotive consist?
Yes
RIP both on board, also crash was caught on camera
RIP to the crew 🫡🕊️
Rest easy to the other crew that would take this train at Shreveport
The crew that took the train at Shreveport didn’t pass. Most likely the crew at Big Spring TX or even Fort Worth.
This was the same train that derailed when it hit a truck in Texas. Crazy 😭
May we have a moment of silence for the crew who perished in the train wreck in Pecos the day after this video was taken.
Rip 🙏 to the crew
Hey great catch Micheal on the stack!
Unfortunately, this exact train derailed in Texas today. One person is confirmed dead.
the entire crew is dead
