The thing is, all these TVs can reproduce the current content that is out there now, pretty much the same. The content isn't pushing the TVs anymore. There is no way you would enjoy a movie or show on the Sony more than the LG or Samsung. They are all basically the same. Not like you have a reference monitor next to your screen checking every color and shadow detail. You start watching a show and you don't even notice any difference or would even know there is a difference, unless you had them right next to each other. Just funny that people think there is this big difference and there is minimal at best and certainly not anything that would change your viewing enjoyment.

@@consumerreview2k just the way it is?? Did you even see rtings video when they said a95l looks brighter than the g4 most of the time in real world content?? Sony a95l can go brighter as high as 1400 nits and even higher. Your a95l seems to be 600 nits or so, your panel is defective lol.

Geek squad set up my 77” A95L over the weekend. It’s very bright,up scaling is top notch, picture quality is amazing 🤩! And the build quality can’t be beat. You can go into the settings and change brightness of any TV! I have this TV! And it’s probably the best TV on the planet! I understand not everyone can afford the A95L, and that’s understandable. I know it’s better than the G4! I wouldn’t even consider the Samsung 😮
@LonGilford Congratulations woth your new A95L. Hope you love it through and through. Thank you for the comment and checking out the video as well. Means allot
Thing about LG is, it's the most versatile Picture settings out of all the manufacturers. You can juice the colors to get to QD OLED if you know what you are doing. You can set the Luminance and saturation levels of each primary color.
@MichelleAlexandria-EM Hey nice to hear from you. I watched your last video by the way. Awesome. Yes I do know how to use the individual color settings in the g4. You definitely gotta know what your doing cause you can either clip out or blow out the details and gradation if you do it wrong. Especially in red.
No what you're seeing isn't a colour inaccuracy, it's the colour luminance. LG did a really good job and what you're seeing is accurate, QDOLEDs are just way brighter when it comes to colours and by pumping up the vibrancy on WOLEDs you also then make everything in general more vibrant which isn't the case on QDOLED. They have their own unique strengths like better OS, no raised blacks in direct lighting etc but QDOLED is just superior in colour.
I've personally seen both the S95D and G4 and I have to say I'm impressed by the G4, but the colour luminance on those QDOLEDS are insane, the colours are pure and fiendish. You can also go into the service menu and pump the brightness even higher, but the OS and settings on LG are far superior.
@Accuaro Hey thank you for the comment and checking out the video. Means allot to me. They both definitely have advantages over the other but i gotta say that i think with qd oled technology advancing in such a rapid pace, Samsung does have something special and they know it. They can can just give us small incremental doses and it will sill leap compared to the completion. There jist teasing us little by little. They k ow what they got and they aren't telling us. They probably have an amazing processor that there just holding off on us and just waiting to release it when they feel is right. Samsung definitely has the edge here and the other brands have to really step up there game or it's over.
@@Kwarkiemodo That's true on the warranty, though it depends because at least here in Aus we have better consumer protection laws so it's getting warrantied regardless if it has burn-in. If you're referencing the RTINGS burn in test between QDOLED and WOLED then you should watch the updated video on the topic, as it's not the panel itself but the lack of pixel compensation cycles. Therefore the claim that WOLED burns in less is still an unsubstantiated claim as testing is still on going.
@@consumerreview2k I feel the same and you're welcome! If you watch HDTVTest review on the C4 he lists the pros of QDOLED at the start of the video, and if you watch Stop the Fomo they also come to the conclusion that the only thing bright about WOLED (even the G4) is the "white" pixel, and colours do not scale with that brightness and some people consider that as "natural" when it's actually just washed out because of the panel limitation. If Samsung can fix the issue of black raise from direct light then it would be perfect in every metric outside of software, but even then I find it a non-issue :)
@@Accuaro Good to know. Because that was my concern when I will buy a new tv and it's gonna be an OLED. Sad that the QD OLEDs aren't bigger than 77 inch. Together we inform each other to learn every day. Cheers!
The comparison is neither fair nor accurate. It seems there might be something wrong with the settings on your Sony A95L, making it appear underwhelming. Personally, I own both the LG G4 and the Sony A95L, and I find that Sony outperforms in many aspects, except in gaming, where the LG G4 excels.
@Thamerw. Hey thank you for the comment and checking out the video. Means allot. No, it's definitely not. I have the brightest settings you can possibly have on the A95L and it's still noticeably dimmer. I made sure and even with live color on medium.and color booster off on the s90d. The A95L is still more dim.
@34sld . Hey thank you for the comment and checking out the video. I'm not personally a fan of turning off DTM . It dims and loses allot of color vibrancy. If that's what I am looking for I would of bought a basic 4k tv.
Well, then the problem is that none of this is accurate. God of war is a dark pretty game. It’s not supposed to look like it has neon colors. If you personally like that, then that’s not a big deal but that isn’t what a Sony or Panasonic TV is made for. They are accurate Reference quality monitors.
What's up ogcod! I will be purchasing the 77-inch LG G4 on Friday. I'm going to play with the settings because I believe that the G4 can get close to QD-OLED (which I think the QD-OLED technology is incredible). Also, LCD not W-OLED is the oldest TV technology and is still making improvements through mini-LED, so if LCD can still make improvements why can't W-OLED? Personally, I think people should just enjoy whatever TV they own and stop fighting over which TV is better because it's a subjective issue as there is no perfect TV and everyone's use case isn't the same. I would like to thank you for the time and effort that you put into making these videos, they are appreciated. You and TKK are one of my top UA-camrs right up there with Brian and FOMO.
@jiffjaff9018 it's the best option in the budget, BUT the best picture quality for movies purist, is A95L, even if you pay 1000$ extra compared with s90d

Thanks for the video as usual. What if the S90D didn't have QD color technology?Would you agree or disagree that the LG G4 would basically beat the S90D in every other category?
@@TenaciousD_23 Not every but almost. Panel uniformity? Color, native sharpness without representing artifacts, i thing thr s90d does better. But I think the s95d and g4 are really the more apples to apples comparisons as they are both classified as the same level of tv tier.
Panel technology is just so Important, taking QD OLED away I would get the G4 over the S95D or S90D easily, however Color depth and luminance and Uniformity are really major buying factors, also you can't beat Samsung's Pricing, they give you the best "bang for Buck". It's gonna be exciting to see a affordable 83" QD OLED next year by Samsung.
g4 is an amazing tv but honest truth i wasnt too impressed coming from a q90t and c1 i got the g4 77 for 3k threw lg partner store i was gonna return it for 83 c4 for 3k but lg offered me 200 off and a 1 yr extra warranty to keep it so i got the 77 g4 for 2800 before taxes
I LOVE the G4 and was going to wait for Super Bowl price drop on 77 or 83 inch, but the 77 S90D price advantage is so tempting. Also considering S95D. Help, I’m in analysis paralysis.
@stevec1099 hey thank you for the comment and checking out the video. I think it really depends on yoir primary use case. But overall they G4 would be the better tv for numerous reasons. Just depends what attracts you the most for a tv.
@@stevec1099 I just bought the 55" G4 and I also have a 65" S90C, I bought the G4 because I felt like my 48" LG C2 had a better picture than my S90C for streaming content, the G4 is stunning and my S90C actually at times looked dull especially when darker scenes with hdr highlights appeared , the G4 image feels like its coming off the screen because it has much better contrast, I think qd oled lifts blacks and this causes hdr to look less bright even though you can see more details in darker scenes than the LG G4, gaming is great on both with the Samsung being a more brighter and vibrant image and the LG being a more 3 dimensional and darker image. I've been playing BioShock Infinite and Deadspace remake on my G4 in vivid mode instead of game mode and I've felt no extra latency on my controller and the image is eye heaven. This is based on my personal subjective experience only but the G4 in my opinion is a much better overall television and I haven't stopped smiling since I purchased it last week. ymmv
The lack of response to multiple comments raises doubts and makes me confidently assert that the comparison here involves a significant and deliberate level of manipulation.
Its most likely he enabled the dynamic tonemapping options on the G4 and the s90D. He constantly changes settings on each tv and doesnt really understand what those settings do.
Why is the Sony is so dark as many people have commented? What have you done with the setting to make the Sony darker. The S90D is a budget model from Samsung and is using the last GEN panel. Where as the high-end S95D is using the latest QD panel. You should’ve had the S 95D in there to make the comparison.
The lack of response to multiple comments raises doubts and makes me confidently assert that the comparison here involves a significant and deliberate level of manipulation.
@@Thamerwhe answered in early comments . Why would he answer same question multiple times just because you're to lazy to read the comments for the answer
You love the Sony because of what I call "Sony colors" and then their processing. Whenever I watch my Sony x900e FALD TV compared to LG OLED, I am still impressed by this Sony that came out in 2017!!!! 😱
@lpromer4796. Hey thank you for the comment and checking out the video. That's a 2 part answer. 1 is yes because the tv in professional mode and cinema mode is the closest your gunna get to an overall cinematic experience at home with a tv. Due to its great cinematic motion and accuracy . Cinema mode makes the tv overall a little brighter which can be appreciated at home. But if you do not care so much about those modes because you want your movies to really pop, then I think the G4 is a better tv. Highlights pop better and there is more depth and detail. The G4 also has the best in the business motion smoothing so if you are not a fan of that cinematic 24p movement, and change your settings to make the movie look smoother, the g4 can do it better imo al while have better clarity? sharpness and details. The color difference is very small comapred to the benefits of the g4. But do keep note that the sound quality is very much so better on the A95L. Pleasantly better and very high quality. So if you do not use a soundbar and sound quality experience is important to you.the A95L is better.
Awesome video as always. Try comparing the G4 and the S90D with super resolution on, on the G4. I set it to medium when gaming and it makes the image looked better in my opinion. I would like to see how that stacks agaisnt the S90D especially in the sharpness/clarity area. Thanks
Size question. Is 83” panel worth the large price increase over 77”, especially when you take into account letterboxing? Maximum distance is 10 ft from tv.
This is not true at all, this video is not right either. The a95l can reach 1400 nits of peak brightnes according to rtings. And they said in real world content it looks brighter most of the time.
Honestly, TVs and monitors are the one thing that stays in your house (for the most people) and not upgrade, but it's time for me to buy a new TV so it's either a good hecken deal this year or next year.
Could you provide your setting for the S90D please?? i have it and would love to try your settings! for HDR and and your picture mode for movies and possible gaming. thanks!
Ok, since you read comments let's say we love you. We really do. You su cool. Thank you for the excellent review. Now tell me what should I buy, G4 or S90D! Mainly movies watching and streaming for me. ❤️
G4 if you're going to for the bigger sizes, bigger is better due to black bars on movies making the image smaller. I went with a 65 but these black bars make me wish I would have bought an 83.
@milunbosiljcic. Hey thank you for the kind words. Means allot. I love you guys back. The best tv to buy for what you primarily use it for is the g4. It has better picture processing, and can upscale low bit rate content better then the S90D. Motion is also better on the G4. The S90D has better color but I'm not so sure if for what you use it for is going to be what you want. Now if none of those g4 advantages even matter to you, get the S90D. 4k hdr content is amazing. And the motion isn't as noticeably bad in hdr comapred to sdr content.
@@mrbungle589agreed. I went for the S90D simply for price, it was half the price for me compared to the G4. I'd have otherwise got the G4 even if it was slightly more expensive, but not almost double.

@888YouCantHandle okay I don't pay much attention to it with Sony 1000 euros more so I didn't really look specifically at the Sony. G4 now here 2200 euros 65 inch.65 95l 3500 euros.
Hello my friend ; First : thank you for the hard working . Second : s90d here looking the best , brighter than a95l ,, more saturated than g4 ,,, with more color pop than both ; so i agree with you on this _ But my question is : I see significant different in colors between qd-oleds and wrgb - is it real world or youtube effect ? Please please confirm it to me because i can't find both side by side in my country .
Would say the s90d was sharper, more detailed than your old s95c? Also the sharpness compared to your G4, trying to purchase one soon for black Friday.
S90D would have easily been my go-to for all purpose if it was QD. All sizes are woleds in europe. Has the picture accuracy we want and input lag of a LG. So im stuck with choosing between LG for gaming or Sony for picture accuracy. S95D is not really an option with a matte panel.
@ogcod thanks for another awesome review that is helping me decide between the LG and Samsung. It sounds like the Samsung has the biggest wow factor. I do like to watch HDR UA-cam, travel and walking tour videos, so uniformity and gradient handling are important to me in addition to motion. I don’t mind soap opera in that content. Could I effectively mitigate any motion issues with Samsung settings? Also, do you notice any banding or uniformity imperfections on the G4?
I had the s90d and I returned it because their processing sucks for normal streaming and TV content. The s90d is amazing for 4K content & gaming......but that's about it. Get a Sony & LG for regular streaming, TV, and Movie content. Of, and before anyone asks, I had the Sony A95L and I took that one back because it wasn't bright enough for me in my use in a room full of windows.
You mean Samsung or LG ? Both of them are already up there with Sony in terms of Clarity in Games, although Samsung still has work to do to match Sony or LG's upscaling capabilities.
The lack of response to multiple comments raises doubts and makes me confidently assert that the comparison here involves a significant and deliberate level of manipulation.
Use game motion lev 2 for motion purpose in s90d specially in elden ring diablo type game its a boon for console gaming in particular. Lg g4 has better upscaling processor but for rest of all the picture features its s90d (yea not even s95d, its just has more brightness) for eg- 3 dimensionality, depth in pic coloura texture details ufff... dark scenes such altered carbon look so detailed and good in s90d. Game motion is the best thing ever 😀 all 60fbs games are 120 and to me it seems service menu setting framerate/vrr increases it even more 144 or somthing like that
@uusrikas exactly, you will be able to play 30 fps game at around or close to 60 fps in console what else you want lol. Its such an underrated feature which only console players can understand. I would simply play gta6 with all bells and whistle at higher fps thanx to game motion plus without needing ps5 pro 🤣🤣😂😂.
Between a 77" S90D and 77" A95L definetly get the Samsung. A95L is slightly better if anything (mostly in Movies) but still gets sold for double the price. Sony are incredibly persistent with their pricing, even though the S95D already has a superior 3rd Gen panel and like you have demonstrated, the Samsung QD Oleds this year have already surpassed the A95L in clarity and sharpness, especially in Games.
You would never notice or miss the difference watching any show or movie, between the Sony and Samsung, if you didn't have them right next to each other.

I don't know any other way to be. If you personally disagree with what I experience that doesn't mean I'm not being honest. That simply means you disagree. And that's pk. Even the best professionals in the world will disagree in there observations based off there personal preference. And some might say samsungs colors are not accurate because there to saturated. But another professional will say that's not true. That samsungs qd oeds have a wider color gamut and can get colors to be purely brighter. Some ppl say accurate picture modes are washed out and dull. Others say that is the creator intent. Then others say no it's not there just creating movies based off of old standards that current technology has surpassed. thats what makes this subject so cool. @GlocksClocked Hey, thank you for the comment and checking out the. Means a lot. But filmmaker is not the most colorful mode out of any of these tvs at all. Not even close. You will get more brightness and color out of any other mode compared to any of the accurate preset modes that each of these tvs provides. So although the color accuracy may not be as close to accurate outside of any accurate mode as filmmaker modes, etc, etc, it doesn't mean that I'm going from a 10 to a 7 unless you're more of a purist, of course, which I'm personally not a fan of for tvs. Projectors, I'm more into accuracy than tvs. When I purchase a tv, I'm looking for a different experience. It's not a movie like experience. I'm looking for brightness, color pop, and higher than reference, accurate vibrancy. In the more accurate or modes that are (creators intent) modes. The tv dims washes out the color and looks boring in my personal opinion. Hdr impact takes a big hit as well, making the overall picture look soft with less detail and contrast, thus leaving some 3d impact behind as well. If i want that more (creators intent), look, I will prefer my projector for the more going to the movies vibe.
@consumerreview2k No, yeah, I mkst definitely get it where you come from now but can you try makin a video of an old 4k remastred blue ray movie like A Clockwork Work Orange- does that do better on G4 or A95L coz of better imags processing or Samsung S90d still manages to show more vibrant colors and the processing really doesn't mayter much. PS- will you likely see a difference while watching 1080P content on youtube (low bit rate 1080P), I mean G4 or A95L are clearly better upscaling TVs but the Ratings site use 480P as a demonstration- would you miss out much on S90d if you're watching a 1080P -1440p video on youtube SDR?
@GlocksClocked at 1080p upscaling the g4 and A95L look almost the same but the g4 still has gradation issues in darker black and grey scenes. But the g4 can look better in getting more details out of a picture when uoscaling compared to the A95L though. In 480p I personally never tried. Neither in 720p.

Don't forget the 5 year burnin warranty on LG.
QDOLEDs burn in more than WOLED.
For that and the smaller size, I would go for the G4.

I just purchased the 77" Samsung S90D and now I'm feeling even better about my purchase decision and the money I saved in buying it over the LG G4.
Yep. I was keen on the G4 but the S90D was half the price for the same size so I just went with that.
G4 is a great TV though!
@@consumerreview2kwhy are you turning on live colour, turn off dynamic tone mapping on both the Samsung & the LG that's what it should look like.

@@TenaciousD_23 Not every but almost. Panel uniformity? Color, native sharpness without representing artifacts, i thing thr s90d does better. But I think the s95d and g4 are really the more apples to apples comparisons as they are both classified as the same level of tv tier.
@@consumerreview2k thank you. That's the answer I was basically looking for. Keep up the great work. Glad to have you back in business!

I've been playing BioShock Infinite and Deadspace remake on my G4 in vivid mode instead of game mode and I've felt no extra latency on my controller and the image is eye heaven.

Hands down
Yes, let's talk about the feelings for these TV's, like experiencing it. That would be good.
If I’m strictly a movie lover is the a95l the better option? Thanks
@ ok, I see, thanks for the input! 🙏🏽

Awesome video as always. Try comparing the G4 and the S90D with super resolution on, on the G4. I set it to medium when gaming and it makes the image looked better in my opinion. I would like to see how that stacks agaisnt the S90D especially in the sharpness/clarity area. Thanks
What do you choose for the G4 to get the best motion for regular tv viewing and live sports?

LG: 10/10
Sony: 10/10
Samsung: 8/10

Ok, since you read comments let's say we love you. We really do. You su cool. Thank you for the excellent review. Now tell me what should I buy, G4 or S90D! Mainly movies watching and streaming for me. ❤️
G4 if you're going to for the bigger sizes, bigger is better due to black bars on movies making the image smaller. I went with a 65 but these black bars make me wish I would have bought an 83.
I own the S90D and it's the king of 4k gaming but if the G4 was closer to S90D price I would've went with that. The G4 is best all around tv imo.
Ive heard that the upscaling/sharpness of image this year rivals Sonys reality creation, or maybe even better... Wonder what next year bgrings

For better clarity in gaming the A95L has reality creation which is best used when set to manual, a feature not many UA-camrs ever talk about

Noone every corroborates a TV on a standard mode but filmmakers mode.
Imagine turning your TVs from a 9 to a 7 and then doin the work to make it look a pinch better and then comparing them LOLLLLLLLL
A95L looks duller and less vibrant, S90D colours look oversaturated, G4 looks most balanced overall.
