- This is a full review of 10 Women's Cycling Bib Shorts that I own from more budget-friendly to top range. Including different ranges from Pro fit to Endurance fit and different brands like Rapha, Specialized, Castelli, Pearl Izumi....I included a comparison table of the different features and performance of this cycling short as well as some tips of how to improve your comfort on the saddle. I tested this shorts on my bikepacking trips, long-distance cycling rides and short training rides.
How much would you spend in a pair of Bib shorts ? Leave a comment below if you have any questions. - Спорт
The quality of your videos (and effort you've put in) is outstanding. I've never seen anyone actually construct a spreadsheet comparing bib shorts manufacturers before! It's so refreshing to see someone take an analytical, logical & detailed look at a cycling topic like this.
Many thanks for your comment Sydney, that is very encouraging feedback 🤩
Thank you so much for showing the inner padding structure of each short! Naming the categories: seamless, structured etc. It is crazy but even in the official webpages of the products this info is hard to find. Also I appreciate any content on bike gear for bodies of people with vulvas. Happy that I found your channel!
Many thanks :) really happy to hear you found it useful. Will do an updated video with the new bib shorts I have been trying this year.
Great video as always. Another Tip: When you find a pair that works well for 3 hours or more, do yourself a favour and get a few pairs. You never know when a company will change or discontinue the model.
Yes ^^ I actually do that, always get a second pair of the ones that works for me, as i always crash my bibs in races
Very comprehensive and interesting. I’m 65 and have a pair of Gobik absolute bib shorts which I like. However it’s quite a faff having a nature break. As I don’t cycle more than a couple of hours at the moment and I have a hybrid bike I really don’t want to go top end. I will investigate further after watching this. Thank you!
Thanks for sharing!
You are a natural at this sort of presentation. I bicycle in the winter months when possible, here in the Toronto, Canada area. I wear a long-leg bib over top of my long johns if necessary. I bought my bibs ( Pontetorto Bolt Bibtight w/suspenders) on sale for approximately C$65 last year. They're absolutely essential in colder weather.
Many thanks William☺I will have a look at them. I am actually doing next a video about cycling gear for winter and cold weather. That might be useful for you. I am testing some of this equipment on a long ride this weekend
@@Buzzalong.cycling, excellent, look forward to it.
Great video 🙏
Thank you. x
I'm not a woman, but all the problems with multi-thousand kilometer ultra rides ended when I switched to Assos bib shorts. They are expensive, but the comfort is in a different class than other brands. I have ridden with all the big brand bib shorts.
Thank you Stefan :) I tried assos and the chamois is great but the women’s bib shorts are not great for me because are quite difficult to take off
Muy bueno tu video. Saludos y Enhorabuena.
David
Muchas gracias :)
Great review
thank you :)
Remember to use ASOS chamois cream!
Hola!! Thanks for the video 😊 In your recent videos, I've seen that you are using a lot of Velocio gear, which I love. How would you compare these bibs with the velocio Luxe and concept? I have both and I love them, even more than the new Assos with the 2 magnets in the back (newer version of the non-practical lalalalallaaiii or whatever ahaha)
Thank you, as you saw in this video I tried a lot of bibs ^^ but the Velocio ones are the most comfortable for me, compared to these bibs they are more comfortable, nice material, great chamois and they have a nature feature that actually works. The difference between the Luxe and Concept is the chamois and compression, both are great but the Concept bibs are my favourite because of the compression ( the chamois does not move and start rubbing), thiner chamois ( more breathable) and comfortable in the drops and aero position. hope it is helpful
Pearl Izumi are the most pleasing bib short - They contour the body much more in my opinion.
Totally agree, Pearl Izumi bibs are great :) I am trying to get another pair ^^
@@Buzzalong.cycling Nice! I've been on the Izumi skinsuit binge lately because what can I say, I'm an aerodynamic freak. Make sure to do a video on 'spandex or cotton' because so many newbies get this wrong and it drives me insane! What are your thoughts?
@@joshmattg many thanks for your comment and the input, I will look into it. Me too, I am always looking for aerodynamic cycling gear :)
thankj you
Thank you :)
You have a beautiful smile!
Thanks :)
What size are you in the EF Rapha palace bibs please?
Thanks, I am size S, this shorts have the Rapha pro team fit.
Castelli unlimited and Rapha look best 👍
Many thanks for your comment :)
@@Buzzalong.cycling keep buzzing! 🚴
@@lanceblack888 will do ^^
Good video, but are there any 100% cotton bib shorts? Don't like all that plastic. I cycle in denim shortalls now, also with bib so there is not stress on a waist. I can sit on it for like 4 hours, so that is usually sufficient.
I am not aware of 100% cotton bibs, but maybe there’s a brand that offers something like this
Hi Sister good afternoon I'm Haron Ali from Singapore can i ask you how much is the cost of the Zipp Rim at behind you thanks Sis take care stay safe smile always
Many thanks for your comment Haron :) Unfortunately, I don't know the price, I rescued it from the basement of a friend who was not using it.
@@1967haronbinali Thanks, I might ask you for tips when I visit Singapore :)
@@1967haronbinali thank you :)
@@1967haronbinali Many thanks :)
Assos ist the best 4 men + Woman !!!
Indeed, Assos is really good quality but there's still some room for improvement in the features of their bib shorts for women in my opinion
You look so beautiful
Thank you 😊
