Personally the new channel won't be for me. It is a shame to see you go because you have helpped me so much BUT I respect your decision and I truly wish you the best. Good luck Sam. ❤
Thanks for letting us know what is up! You and Harris got me into beginning editing years ago. I appreciate you man!
you and harris have been one of the biggest reasons why i started streaming and editing again. Thank you for what you have done love your stuff regardless glad to hear your going with a direct market and a way to use your skills to help others.
Keep doing you
Hello Sam, believe it or not, your editing videos and tricks with lights help me a lot on my run with my Personal Podcast, so, even if you have a different focus right now (which is great for you), you helped me a lot, so if any day you think you didn't helped someone, this is a reminder that you did! THANK YOU for all your help and good luck with your new channel!
Breaks and pivots as a creator feel sooooo refreshing. Good luck with everything. My content had nothing to do with your usual audience, but I adapted soooo much of what you taught here into my own videos. Thank you!
We truly respect this video and message. You spoke from the heart and your facial expressions reveal that this was a tough moment for you. We will follow you to your new channel and don't worry, we won't be deadweight. There is plenty we can learn from you and we are grateful for what you have done in the past and what you're bound to do for people in the future. Happy 2024, Sam!
we had a similar start; over growth with the wrong expectations. its hard.
I appreciate you sharing this. I’ve watched you for specific videos on how to create my content and you have helped a lot. I’ll be subscribing to your new channel too. I’m a super small channel but I noticed something similar to what you are talking about. I had too many different topics and could not grow. I’ve streamlined it and hoping it will get better. Good luck.
Makes sense. The new channel sounds right up my alley!
Thanks for the tutorials you’ve done, especially your thumbnail videos. They’ve totally helped me with meetups and making videos.
Looking forward to learning more editing. 😮
Hey Sam, thank you for your mentorship throughout the past 3-4 years. You are ABSOLUTELY right. As a channel that creates similar content, I've learned that the "niche" of content creation tips and tricks is not really a niche AT ALL. While it will be a hard move to grow a channel from scratch, it is a foundational UA-cam strategy that channels like ours aren't following, and I admire your choice here. Much love from a fellow Post Box Editing subscriber!
I don’t even stream anymore but I still watch. Idk why, but it’s soothing content I like.
I have learned so much from watching you. I'm looking forward to seeing what you're going to create on the new channel. I wish you the best of luck with it and I'll definitely be supporting you!
Hey dude thank you for being so transparent with your goals, I started following you like 5 years ago when I was learning video editing and I got a few tips from you to improve my skills. I wish you the best of lucks on your journey :-)
Hey @SamWhoodhall
Just to let you know that the link for the new channel in this video is broken. Well, I managed to find your new channel anyway.
Meet you there.
Cheers
You taught me a lot, I'll have a look at the new channel as I've been digging editing lately and I want to learn more. But as you know a hollow sub is meaningless so if it's not for me I'll stick here for if you choose to return. Either way, thank you very much for all you've done for me and countless others. Rooting for you and all your success
Massive congrats Sam! Much love as always.
Sam you have super high quality content. Starting a new channel will take off for you in no time. Quality content produces great results
Just subbed to the new channel, looking forward to all your future endeavors
It takes courage to make this move. Best of luck, Sam. You got this.
Honestly, as a content creator your tips and tricks help me as I continue to have to handle everything myself. But I love to learn these skills as then I can more effectively communicate with editors when I'm able to hire them.
Good to see ya again, Sam.
to be honest, if I had the equipment and if I didn’t have a short attention span, I would probably be a editor for as job because you get paid good money for stuff like that, your channel is so cool dude I learned a lot. Keep up the good work.
I think every creator should subscribe to Sam new channel even if your end goal is just to be a UA-camr the value you can learn on what it takes to be an editor what you should look for in an editor and so much more is worth it also if you want to be a full time editor you should also be a creator the editor of Curb your enthusiasm Roger Nygard has a quote that’s don’t be an editor that edits be a filmmaker who edits
I just subscribed to your new channel.
Btw, I have always wondered, why did you stop working with Harris exactly?
Wanted to do my own thing. Felt like I had done all I wanted to at Senpai.
Do you not have a discord?
I was hoping to join and get answers to a few mundane questions from your community if you do.
