Meet the Bags Packed Family: Jonathan and Kelly, along with our three adventurous children. Nine years ago, we embarked on an incredible journey, leaving our home in Alaska, USA, behind to explore the world. As teachers, we were fortunate to find amazing opportunities in Chennai, India, where we spent two enriching years. Seeking new experiences, we then made our way to the United Arab Emirates.
Just as we were settling into our UAE life, the pandemic struck, but it didn't dampen our spirits. Instead, we saw it as an opportunity for another chapter in our journey. We moved to Indonesia, where we currently hold teaching jobs, and it has been a time of learning, growth, and connection.
As a family, we thrive on traveling and embracing the unknown. Adventures are our way of life, and through our experiences, we aim to inspire our children to be confident in meeting new people, trying diverse cuisines, and immersing themselves in different languages and cultures.

Indonesia is on the list of countries for producing one of the best coffee beans around the world, not sure why you would stock up on Alaskan coffee? Indonesia is also famous for having several specialty coffees such as 'coffee Luwak (known as the most expensive coffee in the world) and 'coffee Mandailing'.
Indonesian coffee is the best. Unfortunately, we are so remote, that we don't always have access to the amazing Indonesian options.
Pepperoni is shelf stable. Freezing it usually makes it have a mushy texture.

I have travelled often on long haul flights with Salmon. If you soak newspaper in water and then thickly wrap your bacon or whatever it will be fine. It's a bit messy to unwrap but it works. Make sure you use the insulated waterproof soft cooler.

That was a big issue for our family in Malaysia. We are a family of 6 and we couldn't get organic flour all the time and other organic meats as we were the only ones getting them in that area.
