Once I have checked that I understand and hit "confirm" ... what happens? do they provide routing numbers / account numbers for the bank transfer? in my case they are showing 2 banks Barclays in England and Bank of American in New York. I would love to know these details before I hit confirm.
For those of you who may not be clear on how you actually give your funds to XE from a bank account in like Australia for example for them to send to your American bank,... You start a New Transaction in your XE account (once you set up the recipient account info in USA), you go through the process & when you hit "CONFIRM", XE will email you their Australian bank details for you to simply do a transfer from your Australian bank account into their Australian bank account, they then send it to your American account that you set up. You will be simply setting them up as a Payee within your Australian online banking system just like you would send money to any account in Australia like to pay a bill or family member.

@@gadha707 I have done transactions with XE now & it's simple & very good :) Once you hit "confirm" on their site they will send you an email with their banking details of the country you are sending the money FROM so if you are, for example, asking them to convert & send money from Australia then they will give you their Australian account details so then you go to your Australian bank site & set up XE as a payee just as you would set up to a water bill or family member in Australia so yeah, paying XE the money is just like paying a bill with online banking & they email you with every step :) When you set up a transfer with them, they email you, when you pay them, they email to tell you when they got paid, when the send the money to where you asked it to go, they email you lol. My Australian bank did not charge me anything to send XE the money because the XE account was also in Australia so as I said, it's just like paying a bill. If you are in USA & want to send money to England then you pay XE from your US bank to their US bank, they convert the currency & send it to the bank in England that you set up with your XE account.

Hi Marilyn. You can use XE to transfer money from your US bank account to your Australian bank account like Xoom or TransferWise. There are some important differences though. XE don't charge a fee like TransferWise which is good but they don't give you the wholesale/interbank exchange rate. Their exchange rates vary depending on a few things like the currency and amount so it's harder to get a feel for how much it costs. In any case, all 3 options should be much cheaper than an Australian or US bank.

I dont think it matters. the important thing is that your DL matches what your bank has on file. that is what serves as the security check for XE to gain access to your account. I recently had an issue of losing my bank card while in Mexico. I am Canadian. my drivers license is in Ontario but my mailing address is Alberta. when I phoned my bank to ask for a replacement card they asked for my DL number for security purposes.
