Thanks! I watched a video yesterday and got my cast out over 40 feet! Once I saw it explained I realized I wasn't stopping soon enough on my upstroke and not laying the rod down correctly on the down stroke. Once I saw that and tried it, I was amazed I could pick up the line right out of the water and toss the fly someone else! Now I'm itching to get back to the water!
Thank you for appreciating the little things in life! Perhaps if you ever make it over to this side of the pond I'll see if I can't get Rick and Tim over at @TwoBrothersOutDoors to take you out or if you make it all this way we can!
@@TheOldJarhead At the moment I'm becoming a teacher at school (I'm under-30), I promise you that as soon as I manage to come on holiday to the beautiful American forests I'll bring you one of the best bottles of wine as a gift.
You need to change your reel handle to the other side. I see that you are totally right handed. Unscrew the knob and pull out the handle and put it in on the other side.
I've been told that but the funny thing is I use it normally when fly fishing and fishing for salmon etc...it's just spin casting I've become accustomed to this way
Fishing has always been good for me 🤠
That's awesome to hear! Fishing can be such a rewarding and peaceful activity.
Flyfishing 🤔 don't get frustrated, once you master it, it is very relaxing. Timing and the wind to your back😉

Hello scout. Nice country. Any problems with forest fires? What state?
Good morning, I'm in Washington State and yes, we fight forest fires every year and are going into fire season now.
