I don't have an EUC yet, your tip about being smooth is great. Motorcycle riders having trouble make their biggest improvements when they work on being smooth more than trying to force that skill or speed they were trying to achieve.
Jimmy I’m so happy to see you riding a little more aggressively and finding another level of enjoyment of our awesome devices. As an aggressive rider myself, it makes me super pumped when I see others at least trying. Keep it up man 🤙🏽
Saving slowly for an EUC but look forward to just learning all the physical intricacies. I feel i'll have an easy time learning it but understand the range of things you can use your body for on this type of thing.
When I learned to ride my Segway PT, my neighbor taught me and pushed me out of my comfort zone. I became really great on it. I wish I could find someone like that in NYC with my EUC. But Jimmy, you’re already a great OW rider. I think you did well here but it’s not surprising.
3:34 kinda sick burn to those that think they're the best rider in town just because they can buy big wheels and hit big speed numbers when they can't even perform basic technical riding. Lots of folks claim they're amazing because they can go fast, but ask them to ride backwards and they're suddenly dead quiet. Mastery > Speed, there's so much more nuance to EUCs than just speed and range, people.
For sure! Though if I can only afford 1 wheel I'm definitely not trying to get the most nimble one for tricks over range and speed. But then again it's all about the rider.
Great job and stoked to see you progressing on the EUC! I've only been riding a couple of weeks but this definitely inspires me to start working on new skills as well.
that was my first wheel. try taping some pennies under where the pedal hangers make contact with the pedals. better lock in and itll let you carve a little deeper fo more potential variation in movement
No he did not backwards jump that parking bumper!!! Know what I’m working on this weekend. I mean, not that so it’s not related but I’m still impressed 😏
this reminds of my youth when I was learning to do the bunny hop on bmx. first over painted lines on the parking lot, then over cardboard boxes, then another cardboard box on top. amazing how much height you could get in the end..
I enjoy watching the 2020 videos, then watching the older videos when Jimmy (and Hsiang) were just beginning to ride/learn EUC’s. Plus Jimmy used to be STRICTLY Onewheel when I started watching him.
Great video’s ...make me wish I was 30+ years younger to go out and do this stuff ... but at 65 yo not so sure about the jumping stuff but the riding ... maybe next spring !
I live in Vegas but I didn't start getting into EUC until basically right when the lockdown started. I haven't had a chance to ride with any of the locals out here yet (except Zen briefly). Can't wait for a vaccine so I feel comfortable hanging out with strangers again. lol
Hi Jimmy, excellent video of course. I like the musical transition from when you were riding the course to when Law was riding the course. For a while there I thought you were going to win and I wish you had played Breaking the Law, for motivational purposes of course. Where can I get that Mario sound for my 16 x? Las Vegas always seems to have good videos coming out of it and it looks like a really great group to ride with!
Hi Jimmy Nice videos. You guys need to be less pc and just say euc is better than onewheel 😉 On a more practical point. Were you jumping with a 'normal' aliexpress type pad with a big gap above the toes or adapted with more padding underneath? If just normal pads, then jumping by pulling up the pads or gripping the sides? Only done 150 miles total, no similar background, but would like to handle curbs and rocks better... Thanks.
I want to do that too! Unfortunately I am located in Europe and facing a fice because I rode my EUC wich is completely illegal in germany. I really consider to move.
Jimmy, great video. Question: when does jumping begin to play havoc on the rim? Bending the rim is quite possible when doing jumps. So, did Law talk about this matter?
Love your videos. I am unable to ride with calves close to the wheel, it feels so insecure for me, maybe because my calves are not too straight, so when i try to jump, feel I am lossing wheel control when landing, what do you advice, maybe longer power pads or something?
I like that LED light. The one linked in the description doesn't look like it can clip onto your clothing though. Is it the same? Sounds like he says "NOG LED Light" ...maybe?
I would love to learn to jump my wheel better but I feel like I need a hollow bore motor. I weigh 210 lb and I worry that I might damage my MSP or Nikola.
They should add remote speed regulator for this thing... When you driving slow clicking on one button and when you driving fast clicking on another button. This give much more freedome than regular speed
Watching your videos, I think if you carved more on your onewheel, foot pain wouldn’t be an issue. At least that’s what happened for me as I got better and played around more.
I seen enough broken axles to not want to jump constantly. It’s a good skill to have when u absolutely need it. Let me know how the axles are in a year or 1500 miles
@@lawlaxinaakayourfavorite how much do you weigh? Im 220 and just starting to jump and do steps on my MSP. Prob gonna get a spare wheel in case of breakage
An euc is what you would get if you mixed a bike a one wheel and a hoverboard. The bike because of the huge tire the one wheel because it only has one wheel and the hover board becaus of the standing position

Love Law!! Great guy. He was one of the first people I contacted when looking to get into EUC, actually. 🤙🏼 and I haven’t looked back!
Love the progress you've made with your EUC!
Glad you’re enjoying the EUC, slydogstroh!

Jumping Skills: UNLOCKED
Very nice video and always a blast riding with you, Jimmy 🤙
What will you guys teach me next time?
@@freshlycharged we will teach you to dunk on an euc.

Nice track to practice on.
Finding a curvy sidewalk like that without pedestrians is gold.
100%

Awesome tracks and opening for EUC rides ! So much freedom for riders 👍
I think the crazy heat kept everyone else indoors.
Law is a down to earth guy.... that guy is always hopping his wheel :)
I'm getting the Kingsong 16s as my first EUC. CAN'T WAIT!!!

Riding EUCs is a great way to recreate while being socially distanced!
Don’t let them poke you
It's soo nice to see Jimmy evolving! 😎
EUC Law Professor ! Cool video ! I do the time trial thing as well. Jumping will come later though. I'll be hopping soon I hope.
Do it!
So proud of you Jimmy!!!!
Woohh!!! Miss you already buddy!
Jimmy - nice, I have been following you for last year - i started with OW just got a KS16s still learning - not ready for the jump ;-) thx for vids

Great clip and awesome jumping skills! I use karambits but they lack support above the foot. Some great ideas here!

Inspiring!
I just put some foam on my wheel this morning. Let's see how this gooooes!

Thisvideo made me feel proud of Jimmy.
I know this is DEFINETELY not the point of the video, but im in love with the phone harness Law is wearing. Where do I get that?!
This homemade jump pads work like kerambites pad? Same?
Looks like a good time!
Thanks for the video but it’s starting to feel like torture. Why are our EUCs on back order for so long!

Isn't jumping and landing hard going to stress the axle and lead to bending it/damaging it over time? And damage the rim as well?
Soft, medium or hard mode ? For jumping whats your favorite mode ?
Started on a GW MCM2 waiting for the Monster with the seat to come out. Once it came out I can't sit. Too use to standing.
Nice video. Do you think it's possible to jump curbs etc. without the pads?
yes if you have thighs that can crush walnuts. lol
Can you please provide a link to the material for the jumpads? Great video. Thanks
any 1/2" puzzle mats are fine. use double sided lumber tape to stick them on

nice
Jimmy, any idea exactly which exercise mat he’s using for pads?
any half inch thickness puzzle mats would be fine. just gotta order good double sided tape to do the job. i recommend using lumber tape off amazon
wish i have a buddy like that who can push and teach me
Can you land backwards and continue riding
FACT: “anybody can go fast, what really matter is learning how to ride technical”🤙
