I listened to this last night on Apple podcast but it’s not the same bc I can’t see y’all face also that long distance story had me dying 😂 love the laughs ❤
I was at a dholki last year and some auntie cornered me and asked how old I was and if I was married and I said I was 24 and no I wasn't and tell me why she starts going off "why? why not? do you wanna be? I can find someone? I can get them now?" Bro what happened to hello whats your name
I so agree with the colourism part. My sister is wayyyyy more prettier than I am (this girl can be the next miss Universe). But I get the rishtas because I am fair and she is “darker”. Another example, I went back to Pakistan for a wedding. I was so determined to do my own makeup and not let a parlour wali do my makeup no matter (like even it costed me lots of money for my student budget) how many people told me “parlour wali say karwao aram say. Awain khud ko tangi dayni hai?” But I was like “nahi mein khud karungi”. My mom and some cousins got influenced by others and went to the parlour wali. After the event, I was surrounded by my mom and all my cousins and nieces asking me if I can do their makeup the next day because they said my makeup looked natural and didn’t look like a “chita bandar” (their words)
Guys the denture story shocked me 😂 on the first meeting?!? the thing is veneers wont do because he is missing some teeth and the partial is replacing them (future dentist here lol). Implants would help. Also I thought he showed them because he maybe got rejected before. So he made sure the girl was fine with it since day one? 😂idk And also i love your podcast you guys are killing it! could listen for hours 🫶❤️love from germany
not all parents are open minded, we cant always have open and midful communication and talks with desi parents. no matter how elite they are, some are just with a fixed mindset/ some TOXIC AF parents control ur school, education, friends, post graduation, marriage, in sucha way that u dont speak a word of desire or intrest, who never treat their kids as their adult kids but slaves, and then in such households, sibling relationships are not supportive, they are just incapable
Is that fair n lovely story from Canada? I hope not! Cuz if it is that's tragic! Seriously these kinda moms should let their sons marry goris instead then. I mean why even try 😠
You guys are so funny, I could not stop laughing the whole time! Could you add English subtitles when you are speaking Urdu because some of us here don't understand it? Thanks :))
Imagine the guy came in with the rishta and u get married and later u find out he has no hair and his wearing a wig over his bald patch like the Indian there is out there idk the name but lmaooo😂
49:04 this actually happened to one of my aunts. This man begged her mom for my aunt's hand in marriage. Literally begged. They got married. 15 years later she finds out he had another wife and had kids with her. (Had no kids with my aunt. apparently he didnt want to try for kids with my aunt) Then when my aunt told the guy's parents they frickin accepted the second wife because they had grandkids from that marriage. Needless to say my aunt divorced him so fast.
Fun fact when she asked for my rishta at hospital she also was the one who named me ok now 22 years later I am getting married to her sok this December 😂
I dont know why i just cant stop listening to u two. Feels like we have been friends forever!
