Yes they are. Usually I would just set uo one of my canisters specifically for polishing, but lately I've been thinking of ways to be able to.do consistent huge water changes like 70% plus weekly. I think using the method I use right now is going to be on the right track.

Haha. To be honest with you not a huge fan of internal filters. I like them only for the purpose of polishing water. They work just as good as any other filter. It just takes up space on the I side of the aquarium. I like to avoid. That as much as possible.

But for extra polish it's great
