- Meet Fiona! She is my 1978 Fiat 124 Spider! She was my first project car, and I learned so much from building it. There are so many upgrades we have done, and hopefully more in the future!

Drove my 70, 124 from Cleveland with my army bud skezicks to San Francisco on to Seattle and back with his cat Leon and 4 cases of Coors which we couldn't get in Ohio at the time, what a large time. Great car too.

I have a 1970 Fiat 124 with 54K miles that has not run in many years got it from a friend. Love the Green color.

Nice work! Just bought (May 10) a 1978 Spider. It runs and has a solid body but needs a new exhaust, a carb rebuild and some other stuff.
I’ll take a good body with mechanical issues any day!

i always enjoy your videos. I have 2 78 spiders and an 81 Turbo spider. Turbo is in the beautiful green also. Hope this spring to get one of the 78's in nice enough shape to sell and maybe get fresh paint on the other.
Wish I still had one of my 131 sedans. Between rust and fires, they didn't survive well. They are as rare as the Turbos !
If you own a vintage Fiat you either find a good mechanic or become one ! Personally, I love working on these cars ! Keep up the great videos, I always learn something new !!

Dude I love the green shift knob! What a gorgeous color. I couldn’t tell are the body panels/hood wavy, dented or camera trick? I’m looking forward to seeing both in person finally!
There are all sorts of dings and dents, but the hood has two factory bumps. You’ll see them soon!!

Way nicer than an Alfa Spider! Nothing’s better than a rust-free, straight, well-sorted Fiat.

My 1977 is "Stella"
My ‘76 124 was fun... when the clutch cable wasn’t breaking and leaving me stranded.
I have been lucky enough to not have that happen, but I have had my own mishaps, but even then they are still fun!

Where did you get the throttle cable and cable mount for the dual Webbers?
The Mount was custom made and same for the cable.
If you are looking for a upgrade of any kind look at a electric water pump and u don’t need a thermostat and it’s available on Alison automotive in California
I too have a ‘78 Fiat 124. Love the little car. It is great fun to drive. Maintaining it kinda comes with it. But I don’t mind. That green color of yours is gorgeous. Too bad with the wrinkles. I see you are also in Texas. Are there any Fiat clubs in Texas (Houston area)? I’d like to find one.

Hey, can you explain how to tuck the bumpers in?
Sure! The shocks are full of oil. So if you drill a small 1/8 inch hole in the larger part of the shock (near the back) you can then press in on the bumpers and the oil will drain out. The bumpers will stay where you push them. Hope that helps!

How are you able to have that car ?? My battery went dead and the city guy said it was a derelict vehicle and ordered it towed out of my yard and scrapped.
That’s pretty odd.. I’ve never had that issue.
No filters on those webers…..that motor won’t last too long
