Yes! Moroccan craftmanship goes beyond what is shown on this video. Many materials are touched by magical hands and turned into small masterpieces. Like wool for rugs (over 60 types in Morocco) or blankets, metal for lamps and doors , wood for furniture and doors, clay for dishware and decor, leather for homeware and fashion ... Handmade items are all over Morocco ❤

Walking down the narrow streets of the Medina that was plain until you enter the huge doors to a cool breezy courtyard with mosaic tiles and trees. Textiles , metal smithing, carving, and everything in between. Craftmanship was great. I would love to go back someday.

This isn't Arabic at all. This is Andalusi architecture invented by Iberian Muslims, with small influences from Persia. If you really look at it from a historical and architectural point of view it is much more Roman and Gothic in nature than it is Arabic or Middle Eastern in general. This is a style that developed in Muslim Spain. Even the typical horseshoe arch that you see in this type of architecture was implemented by the goths who converted to Islam. Many columns that were used in their buildings were Corinthians(Greek) columns, until later they developed their own styles and design of columns.
Morocco and Muslim Spain have been one country in history for a long time (Almoravid and AlMohads), so this is how some of the influence came into morocco. On top of that, Most of the Muslims of the Iberian peninsuela that fled the persecution from the Christians went to Morocco and brought their Architecture, Music, dialect, etc... with them. And that's why you'll only see authentic Andalusi cultural legacies such as music or architecture in Morocco(and Spain) and nowhere else. Not even in other places where some Andalusi refugees have fled to in smaller numbers.
I can keep on going, but this architecture isn't Arabic AT ALL. Like, literally the only Arabic influence on this architecture is the Arabic calligraphy. So, get your Arab arrogance and nationalism and throw it in the garbage bin. Morocco has been a place of many great nations either from outside or from within, with a great history, beautiful and rich culture and great diversity. So, no need to be looking down on Morocco my friend. And yes, I say this as a proud (not arrogant) Moroccan.

Al andalus was destination of many muslims from the world, these all monuments in andalus are older then any moroccans architect, this was brought to north africa by muslims of andalus when they left andalus, and went to north africa, all architect is in andalus older then morocan architect. if it was built by moroccan then first it should be built in morocco but is not, you can find 1000 of morocans who have asian faces, did you ever ask your self why? because these were the asian muslims who sattled in north africa after christian took over andalus. and there are still many people living in morocco with family name Bukharis.

Awesome!!! Just awesome and marvelous. I love Moroccan facades and food, quite rich and meticulous. This should be patronized by MNCs

What a wonderful video. Amazing Moroccan architecture. I was really lucky having visited Al Hambra in Granada, Spain, 1996. It was a once in a lifetime experience.

Fantastic work. The craftsmen, of course, did an amazing job but I also appreciate the amount of preplanning design that went into the project.

As a small child, I do know that living in this world provided my very first cultural impressions of understanding pattern, as symbolic meaning and communication. Thank-you for giving back a small, yet magical part of my early childhood in Morocco.
