- Male lion from Masai Mara hears a warthog in a hole and starts digging him out, unfortunately for the warthog it didnt have a an escape hole to escape to. Lions can hear even the slightest movement from underground that human beings wouldnt capture even with their ear on the ground.

Lions have been known to break each others back/spines so that wouldn't surprise me.

The lion is exposing it's whole face to the hog's tusks in that hole.
Yes they are, but a hyena jaws are more powerful. Upwards of 1000 pounds per square inch. A 🦁 bite force is 600 lb per square inch. That said if a hyena was the size of a lion it will crush a lion. Because it has stronger jaws.

I guess that little blip in the video was the edited part of the fight with the squealing warthog, because that hog must have run into that hole scared for its' life, but was then pulled out lifeless by the lion. Missed something there.

They can flex and clench their toes to an extent but a lot of the actual grip comes from hooked claws, a lot like house cats

That lion must have been starving. I don’t think they usually dig for food. Unfortunately, need meat to survive. They can’t live on plants, I don’t’t think.

You can hear the tourists' cameras and then you hear the tourist vehicle start up and think they're going to leave because watching the lion eat its prey might not be the prettiest sight. But the tourists aren't leaving, they just want a better view of the lion tearing the face off the warthog.
