  • Learn how to develop good aim, recoil control, & overall goodness in life with Muscle Memory. This video goes over what is muscle memory, how to develop muscle memory, and how to apply that to Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. The bad grammar previously is to improve SEO, leave me alone.

There is good practice and there is bad practice. Bad practice happens when one becomes impatient and losses discipline, falling into the path of least resistance over true mastery.

Something also worth noting is that the brain won't learn as well if you don't get enough sleep. Real life isn't like TES:Oblivion where you can level up many times and then sleep once and get all your levels. If you don't get good sleep, your experience points are lost. You have to sleep regularly and sleep enough to get good.
Goes for any mental practice. Not just counterstrike.

Thats totaly right, as a pianist i experience learning new task involving muscular memory, visual reading and information processing quite often. Sometimes i'll play a new part for 1h not getting any result then go to sleep and the very next day i would nail it. The most efficient way i found is to break work into small parts that you would practice for a short amount of time ~10min and going back ans fourth into the differents parts.
In csgo that would mean spending 10 min on nades, then 10min on only headshot, then maybe 10min of straffing. It is also important to change the order of the practice sessions to train better.

I have unfortunately have devolved a bad habit from bad practice. When I was first starting out in CS, I would get so nervous about killing my enemies quickly that I would just full out spray at them the first second I got, because I started out at silver 2, it was a valid strategy at the time. Now that time has passed, I've made my all the way up to DMG and I'm still struggling to prevent myself from just spraying. I'll just forget about the first shot and let my bullets just bounce up to their heads. I've gotten pretty good at predicting where my bullets will go but its not reliable. Can't tell you how many times I looked like a complete noob because I would mess up an easy spray. Take it from me kids, practice right if you ever want to reach global.

unforntunately you get this at all ranks. yesterday I was playing a game of mirage as a LEM, I carried 27/14 with one other teammate who went 24/18 but we had a guy leave and 2 people doing badly. I deranked and it really annoyed me, but there isn't much you can do in solo-q except try to carry as much as possible. improve your aim and that alone can carry you to DMG and just play as often as you can as this will give you more experience which cannot be gained in any other way. Use the tips in this video to improve in a faster smarter way without developing bad habits and you'll be out of silver faster than you think. Hope this helped.

Excuses. You just have to do what Owl said: spend more time. And also - what kind of idiot gives tons of money for apple products? Buy nomral gaming PC and monitor (it's not so cheap, but I achieved it with patience) and you will see that it won't improve you - it will just barely help you to improve. The joy will be more noticable.

    thankyou warowl, i thank you.
stage 1 in particular is extremely important as a musician i can see how this works. i was taught the same thing practice slow. speed is easier to build than memory. wanna learn a riff? cant get it to speed right away? try it with a metronome to half the tempo, build up by however bpm you feel confident (i go by 10 bpm if im confident and 5 bpm if im not) seriously it works so well!

This is me with Smash Bros :D I'm looking to jump into CS:GO in a couple months once I have the equipment to play. I'm slowly working my way to a recording rig. Just bought my mic set next is my soundboard, then my PC (Including a good mouse and headset), then my elgato and then I'll start devoting time to this. I've generally done fighting games competitively, I want to try my hand at FPS's, I use to play Halo but it's being so long it time to work toward getting good. Your video are super informative man.
