you just saved me $1000 today! Our Maytag stopped working. My husband was ready to go to the store to buy a new dryer - and I told him to give me a half hour to fix it. I watched your video, had ordered the pack of parts a day in advance - started with the same one you did... and I fixed it! THANK YOU!
Thought my belt was broke, because my dryer stop spinning, didn't know wat was the problem, until I watch yo video plus we both had the same dryer,an we both had the same problem,I did everything u did an it started working. Thank GOD&u so much,May GOD Blessed U&Fam🙏🤞💪
After spending $100.00 on a timer, I watched your video and found out that it was the thermal fuse on mine. I wish I saw your video first. It would have saved me $100 and a 45-minute drive to pick up.
Thank you so much. You just saved me a bunch of money. I was ready to call a repair man. Everything else mechanically was fine. I knew the motor wasn’t getting power but wasn’t sure why
I did that just that order the fuses switched them it worked for like a couple if days and then it stopped working again any idea what may be causing it to pop?
Thanks. I just replaced that part with an after market part that lasted about two months. I ruled it out initially before checking the door switch, which is the other common reason.
Thank you so much you just saved my Family we have the same dryer and it stopped working I order the fuse on Faith hoping it was the fuse and it was God bless you thank you so much
Thanks for this video. After checking the start switch (it was good,) the thermal fuse showed bad with my multimeter. I made a jumper and bypassed the thermal switch like you did and the dryer started. I checked the other thermal fuses and thermostat and the heating element while I had the back off the dryer. The heating element along with the thermal fuse did not show any continuity. I took the element off the dryer and it was burned up. I ordered the element which comes with all of the fuses and thermostat. I also am going to install a periscope adjustable space saver vent which should help with air flow. My flexible hose was crushed. Maybe the dryer won't take as long to dry a load of clothes now! Thank you again!
Thank you for this video! I’m having the same problem and will update after I follow your steps but I wanted to ask if it’s generally the same process to change out the thermometers you got in the kit too? My dryer also runs at only the highest temp despite being set to low heat so I’m thinking maybe I should change out all the parts that come in the set! Thank you again!
My dryer is wired to the breaker box. Is it safe to just turn the breaker off instead of untiring to perform these steps? Im not good with electrical work but im trying to fix this pn my own to save money. Thanks.
I’m trying to do the same method you did in the video with the jumper wire however I can’t really see how the tips look, I got 1/4” but they were a tad too big, in the video you said you did some modifications, did you bend the ends to make it fit? Or? I’m going crazy over here lol
Why not check continuity across the fused link? Putting a jumper cross that could cause someone to think of permanently bypassing it. Check continuity!!!! Don’t jumper that.

Thank God for you, UA-cam and Amazon!…lol.
Where do you get that little wire from
Part from amazon
@@TheVeroneeLife I found multiple jumper wire. Which one should I buy. I saw your first one didn’t fit. How do I know which jumper wire to buy?

If you listened you would hear that the jumper was temp until the new link came in. Thats how I determined that it was bad, I checked continuity!
Dude $3 at harbor freight for a DMM
Good to know, thanks
