@ yes because it's the first time a truck manufacturer licensed a not-currently-selling truck to SCS, which is VERY promising because many love older models, just take a look at the modding scenes with the RJL Scanias and the Kenworth K100.

Thank you. My Dad drove the 9800 International for 10+ years before he passed away from cancer last year. This brought back some great memories watching that semi pull into our driveway every night.

So far, the legendary W900 has been the most oldschool truck in ATS, and now, this one takes the cake. Great job, SCS!
The W900 is oldschool, this one isn't. It's a late-series 9000, and you can clearly tell if you look closely enough.
@ but what gen is the w900? And what gen os the 9900i?
@ it is a later series 9900, but look at the dash. Hardly changed since the 1996 Paystar quad I used to drive. SCS has the 2007+ Kenworth dash in their W900 which looks and feels way more modern. So they both represent late model trucks, but I think it would be fair to say that the 9900 feels more old school.
When it comes to taking the cake, count me in!
Beautiful, the panel with these white dials highlight the mastery and ergonomics of the set.Being in my opinion the highlight of the set.
If someone had told me that SCS Software would release a no longer produced truck, even some weeks ago, I wouldn't believe him! The Eagle 9900i is my all time favorite model from International. It's a shame that Navistar stopped making 'em 5 years ago.... It's even more a shame when you realise that other manufacturers are still producing models that trucks enthusiasts are defining as their soul... Think about the Paccar group with their Peterbilt 389, Kenworth T800 or W900 and Daimler Trucks with their Western Star 4900! The Eagle 9900i is a delight to drive with its retro feeling and it looks stunning in every detail! The wooden dash plate with the white gauges and the classic SCI original steering wheel with ''Eagle'' written on it! I also noticed how much you guys IMPROVED at recording engine sounds. I didn't expected the 9900i to sound that good! I hope this wonderful 9900i release will give the spark to the developpers to bring more classic american made old timers. I'd choose the Western Star 4900 or the Kenworth T800 as next old school model! Thank you so much SCS Software! :D
You don't need T800 when there's W900. They're cousins btw

Love this addition to the available trucks, and please bring more classics if possible. At my age, it's all the older trucks I would see on the road, so those would be great to have in game officially. (I know there's mods, but those stop being supported or new features break them for a patch or so until updated.)

I love this truck!!! I'm so glad they added a new classic truck into the game. Don't get me wrong I love all the modern trucks we have but these are hard to get especially since they don't get produced anymore. SCS is the absolute BEST company I've ever seen listen and take care of its community. I'm a trucker and real life and they've hit the nail on the head with this simulator. I can't wait for the next exciting thing to come to ATS!
