Shout out to @CheeHoo Garage his video helped me find the parts and provided the link for what to change in the tune file. Both are linked in the description of this video.

On, idle the fan should come on when coolant temp hits 214°, otherwise it should sit around 207/208-210

Good going on the BP Auto harness 👍 it's a nice piece, well constructed & very OE looking. E-fan upgrade, if it's feasible go for 10-13 (specifically )e-fans as they are a 7 & 9 blade combo Vs earlier ones (esp gmt-800 05-early 07) that are 5 & 7 blade combos.
Need to get my 411 PCM re-reflashed as my e-fans come on and run constantly at low speed for whatever reason. Don't think the MOT understood about my BP Auto a/c trinary switch update or something 🤦🏻‍♂️🤪

When i have a minute im going to check out the link. I did the 05 conversion and pinned it to the computer and after a little time i thought everything was perfect. What i didn't realize until it was 100 degrees plus and I was out fishing with my wife and kids, was that my ac compressor was kicking off at a dead stop or in park. I work outside so I never really noticed. I assume its something i can correct with HP tuners so I appreciate the link

The 03-04 trucks work more like the 05+ from what I've found. The 99-02 are different and require some extra steps.

@@bluecollarhotrods9781 yeah that's exactly right. Mine was pretty straight forward and is the reason i bought my HP tuners. One of these days ill plug it back in and look at the ac settings. Going to look for a stock 05 and just paste to start i think. Lol never even knew i had a problem till the wife spoke up

I have a Derale Heavy Duty Fan Clutch on my 02 Suburban. I have never had a problem with it getting hot, and my coolant hoses and radiator are clean all the way through like it’s brand new. If your truck is like mine and it is clean throughout the cooling system, then putting electric fans on is a waste of time and money.

    • @bluecollarhotrods9781

That's an opinion. If you are trying to free up power and pick up some MPG - it works.
I won't be installing electric fans on my 2500HD. I use it for towing, and feel the clutch fan does a better job of keeping it cool while towing or hauling.

@@bluecollarhotrods9781It’s not an opinion. It literally is a waste of time and money, especially on normal stock vehicles. And the power gain you get from switching to electric fans is so little that you wouldn’t even be able to tell the difference.
