I actually really needed this video about 3 days ago when a Dr asked me to grab an IAP.
I’ve been a nurse for 5 years and have never had to do one and didn’t even know where to begin…was thankful for RRT nurse that day!
Yeah its interesting how little we check these, yet its so easy and something that can quickly checked as it does have consequences! Glad you had some help when you needed it!

Eddie, how does either a UTI or bladder cancer complicate this procedure?
Great lesson. I always forget the steps because i don't do it often enough to memorize it.
Yeah definitely something you can forget easy if not doing often enough
Do you zero the transducer? And when?
Is it really necessary to measure the pressure in every case

Unfortunately I just don't have access to use this equipment for visual demonstration for my own personal channel.

@@katiemedard8935 yeah I try to do the best I can at drawing and explaining it, but given I run this channel as a business I unfortunately cannot just use hospital equipment for demonstrations. As much as I’d love to and think it would certainly be more helpful. Perhaps at some point in the future I can obtain some purchased equipment for these purposes.
I feel that in some cases it's obvious and not necessary to put someone through additional costs and pain
