The version from 1991 is much better. Whoever produced it really got the mix right and brought the best out of it, they captured the energy of the band at their peak
I remember this well & could never understand why they released a re-recorded version of an old album track when there was plenty of new material like One man band or Like a zombie ect from the classic Rock til you drop album. Just a standard for me, even so very well produced by Francis Rossi, another missed opportunity.
Really like the rich, upfront sound of RTYD album and prefer this version of Can't Give You More. The RAOTW album isn't really one of my faves sound-wise, it can seem a bit 'thin', not enough oomph. For example, Dirty Water is one of my favourite tracks ever but not the studio version (btw I'm referring to the original album, I haven't heard the John Eden remix)
The remake sounds more like another a pop song that failed in the charts. The original version sounds better, like the real Quo. It's a song with some good lyrics. It opens up with, "now you know this ain't the kind of life for you", which is Francis Rossi telling his wife about the difficulties of relationships whilst having a rock 'n' roll lifestyle.

Love both versions Jamie

A dire track for me

IMO RAOTW versions are better. This is one sounds more 'live' and reflects the band at the time
All down to.personal choice.
You are allowed to say Perrier water. Rock to you drop album is awful.
