Jim, great to finally meet you on Sunday on the way up to the start and stage 3. Thanks for the advice to ride the trail and not race for the first time out. Worked a treat on the stages I did do. Congrats on being top man in our veteran category. Have just watched this one again because i'm thinking of heading over Saturday and trying some of these out. On the official map I can see Topography and Student Champs but not the others, are they easy enough to find?

Those off piste steeps didn't look as though many bikes had been through recently by the looks of the leaf debris and trees down I , to that end I bet it was even more slippery/ sketchy ! Fair play to you for having a go in the name of video art Jim ! We agree your Stanton looks the dogs , genuinely comes across how much you love it too.

I went to eastridge t’uther month Jim with mates n did the red route, they all have different abilities and a couple didn’t want to venture into the black trails, the last trail back to the carpark was carnage ha! Looks like we missed some good parts out, will try n get back there this summer as its 2 hr drive... great content as usual Jim and look forward to the new footage from the 7black 🤟🏻😎
Interesting listening to your thoughts on riding a HT compared to full sus.. I have both and love them equally for different reasons!!. Brilliant vlog as usual, and I wish my wife would fetch stuff for me... You have her well trained 😀
I went to Eastridge for the first time on 23rd December, after watching one of your earlier videos; managed to find a few tracks easily enough by following my nose. Loved it there, despite it being sopping wet when I went. As such, even though the footage froze on Students, I could just about tell where on track you were by the audio as I was making similar noises (oh bugger, whoaaaa, oof, etc).
Great riding Jim. Fair play, you have the patience of a saint with GoPro and the 7 issue. Think I would have told them to stick it by now, got a refund and gone bought one over the counter somewhere.
Well done with the brakes. Shame about GoPro, I sometimes lose the audio but so far 1080P on my old Hero2 is what I go back to for the reliability. When I can get the readies though I'm going for the 7 as well as I don't use a gimbal as Hero 2 won't fit. The Stanton is so photogenic, I thought my On One Parkwood 29er HT looked rad but nowt compared with your Stanton.
Up main fireroad drag, right and follow up robbery top (after going down and left a bit.turnnback on yourself and it's the one facing about 10 o'clock if you take the trail you just came up as 12 o'clock. Or just check strava
Loved the vid Jim, I was wondering when you get your hero 7, you could buy a GoPro dog harness and put the 7 on Ian when he comes riding with you. This would look so sick from a dogs point of view following behind you and Tod. #keepitpinned
Put a go pro on ian ! Ive got a harness that goes on the dog and you can attach a go pro to it , unfortunately my little dog is a bit old now to be a trail dog but ive tried it out on dos walks and around the house and it is funny to watch.
And another great vlog to learn something from, seems you never run out of places to ride and give advice on, top work mate 🤘🏼

Yes mate, red is ok, but doesn't take in the best stuff, go exploring! Head up main fire road to top then check trailforks

Hardtails are the best, had a blast on my Cotic around Cannock today. Great video as always. Out of interest, what width tyres do you run on the HT?
2.35, but they are a tad wider with the super wide Enve rims

where was the customer chain stay protector from?
Go to any furniture shop like Dunelm Velcro or Hook/loop tape. Get the soft side £7 per MTR!
Is it the SD card rather than the GoPro?
Tried a new one mate, still the same. Although just done a software update though and it seems better
