Unfortunately, a more than century-old tradition of sitting out of the sides of the carriages has been banned since 2018 after a minibus collision. It was the most memorable thing we did when we rode this steam train in the past. What do you guys think about it? Should they continue to ban it?
@@Zcoop18 yes we went there first time maybe 8 years ago, it was the most fun thing we’ve ever done for a long time, and the whole vibes on the train were just amazing, everyone had a great time especially doing that leg dangling 🤩 Yeah, such a shame that it’s banned now 🥲
Good video, very entertaining friend, and one way to get to know places is to go by train. I love this tour and the sandwiches are very tasty. I'll stay in your space and thank you very much for sharing 30 greetings.
Wow 4 hours? That is more than I expected. That is so cool that they allow you to take photos so close to the steam engine. Ony you haven't changed in 7 years. A baby face!
That's a long train ride for you guys, glenferrie to belgrade lol Puffing billy is a fun thing to do and our kids had so much fun! oooooo u guys had a really good time on the paddle boats. Don't think we could trust the kids on that haha.
Hahah yeah we figured we just want to sit back and relax since it was early morning ride. Only 1 hour train ride from our place, not too bad haha Yes the kids must love it! The parents on the other hand, looked a bit bored after a while on that train haha 😂 Lol yeah the paddle boats are a bit unsafe, they don’t have a safety belt or anything 😅
Aww you both look so cute riding the paddleboat together 💓💓💓 Omg don't ever miss the train lol, no thank you to walking back haha! What a fun day out you guys have! Great for a weekend outing!
Beautiful train and that's great they are limiting the amount of passengers. We ended up taking a nap with similar views. Haha Those pedal boats look like so much fun. Nice picnic too. 3 hours is not bad for the price indeed.
Hahah we also tried to nap on the way back to the base station lolll All the kids and parents in the same carriage looked tired too 🤣 Thanks guys for watching!
Loveee those old trains guys. We went to one of those in Colorado but even better if you plan a picnic. Those croissants! 🥐 🤤 Great tips for those planing a trip over there.
Hi guys, it's Noah here, have been subbed for a while but am new to commenting! Am from Melbourne and have never been here but really want to go! You guys are so fun and entertaining! Can't wait to see more from you guys!
Hi Noah! Thanks so much for following us ❤️ you should definitely visit Puffing Billy Railway and take the steam ride. It’s a very iconic Melbourne activity and perfect time to do it now because of the limited number of people on each carriage makes the journey more enjoyable!
We forgot to mention in the video that it is from the most popular croissant place in Melbourne, Lune Croissanterie. Hope we will be able to feature it in detailed in one of our next food videos 👌🏻
Very cool guys! That's an old school train if I've ever seen one! Loving the beautiful views you see outside! Picnic by the lake is the best spot to have it 🙂 paddleboating is fun too! I've not done that in a while! Great episode guys! 👍
This looks like a great Date Day for both of you. We went to the Railway Museum by our place but the steam train wasn’t running at the time. That picnic was really nice and great they provide a package. I want to do that Aqua bike for sure. The view is so pretty over there!!!!! Thanks for taking us with us.
It was a really fun and awesome day for us. Ah awesome you guys have a railway museum in your place. Haha yeah the aqua bike is super fun and great exercise too haha
Glad it was helpful! Yup this place is one of the coolest places in Melbourne that can be accessed by public transport. Hope we can share more awesome places like this next time 😃
Agree, it is worth it, and eating by a lake is priceless. The paddleboats look so fun! Wow if you miss it, you have to walk back? But that is a long way. I would get anxiety lol Yes it seems like a really nice trip and now that is less crowded, even better 👍
Haha I guess we can take uber maybe if we miss the last train 😆 Yup right now is much better experience of sitting on the carriage, as it’s more spacious 👌🏻
Waaa what a croissant for the journey, looks so good. Always wanted to go on an old school steam train they look so interesting. The forest views looks like New Zealand hahahahaha. Too bad sticking your head out is now banned T_T looked like a fun day out together
Haha yeah food always makes the train ride becoming more enjoyable, doesn't it. Yeah we're no longer be able to hanging our legs out during the ride which is such a shame because the tradition was already going for more than 100 years 😐 It's still a fun thing to do though in here 😃
All run by volunteers. Thank my hubbie for a track free of debris, he is one of the track patrol people on the weekends. He gets up at sparrow fart, goes up the track on a special cart before the train. He sees lots of roos, wombats and kookaburras. 😊
Might come off as a weird question but just wondering if I can eat on the train to Belgrave as well as the journey is quite far. Am a tourist and I am coming to Melbourne this June. Wondering if it is allowed to eat on Melbourne Trains?
Great Ocean Road is still in our head to make into a video one day! We just haven't got a chance to visit it again, maybe later this year hopefully. Thanks so much for watching 😊
Haha the person limit is probably the only thing that I enjoy about covid 😂 In the UK there's a limit on buses and it has made the journeys so much more pleasant
That's so true! That's nice that they limit the number of person on buses in the UK. I don't think we have limited number of people on public transport now. People already start to forget to maintain social distance I think here :(

Man, I remembered those days XD
We went as children and again a few years ago before the collision and dangled our legs both times. Such a shame it’s had to be stopped. 😢
@@GabrielTobing the good old days 🥰
