Was on Puffing Billy in 2018, and unfortunately we we'rent allowed to sit on the side due an accident several months before. When I visit again next year, hopefully will be able to do it then.
I think Puffing Billy is used as an excuse to prevent extending an electrified Belgrave train line. But as long as tourists and kiddies are happy right.
The irritating clicking sound in the unnecessary music turned me right off. Couldn't hear the loco puffing or hear the clattering of the couplings and wheels on the rail joints. Sorry to be negative but I left after a very short time.
was a little fun as a kid. seems boring as an adult with kids. also it's Mel-Bur-Nian not MEL-BOORE-NIAN. you might be from elsewhere in Aus, but most people know how to pronounce it correctly. its the same as when the head of the IOC saying Syd-er-ny won the 2000 olympics. hits the ear wrong completely. you wouldn't say Bris_bayne or Hob-art. you sound american pronouncing it like that
Seems like a brand-new video. I have not been on Puffing Billy for years and I think it has improved since my time. Thanks for the lovely tour.
I did this back in 2015 when I was on holiday in Australia. Not been back since so thanks for covering this!
Very nice little railway with everything to see and the atmosphere is just so breathtaking. 🤩
ive lived in Australia Victoria for 50 years and never been on Puffing Billy - the sights look amazing
love this! idk why there are so many hate comments lol

are you still allowed to sit on the window ive done that in 2017
As of 2024 yes, only from Belgrave to lakeside. Lakeside to Gembrook no because of lack of proper road crossing gates
