Happy, Safe Adventuring - Cheers Graham.
Who’s gone and visited our new website? greatoffroad.com.au
Let us know what you think
Love the new website especially the locations page with lots of useful trip/location info. Keep up the great work.
Cheers Carl - yeah it’s pretty flash, got some leg work ahead of me to get all our content up onto it.
that's a DNS configuration fail from me . as your site is addressed as https not www.
however once accessed . you have a interesting design and layout with high quality grapical pictures . I think the menu font and spacing size needs to be changed .
Also think the location page is great !
High range?
Damn I'm not that experienced but if I saw that sucker it would be low pressures, low range, sand mode, plant it and hang on.
The sand actually looked pretty good and the vehicles were sitting on top of it pretty well.
I have found some that is like quicksand and the vehicle just sinks into it.
Thanks for the video, looked like a fun trip.
Fabulous vid of an incredible spot. I once did a recovery of an F250 that lost gears halfway up "Heartbreak" hill. Very tight getting back thru the bush trail to the recovery truck. Cheers for highlighting Yeagarup ... brings back some great memories for me!
The rangers station states 10psi for tyre pressures. Perhaps if EVERYONE reads the sign at the start of the track at the hut, the track wouldnt be so cut up.
Also the amount of people who don't listen and take there trailers down , I've seen that many and even people towing boats... Where are you going to use your boat down there?😂
100%
@@oldluxy the ocean?
@@effortless2650 that section of southern ocean is pretty nasty , much better places to take a big boat
@@oldluxy oh right haven’t been yet going in a couple weeks though
The beach you get to from Yeagarup dunes is Yeagarup beach. Warren beach starts at the Warren river and continues until Meerup river, and that beach is called Malimup until the Doggerup rocks and The Summertime Track.
Thanks for another awesome video, we live in such a beautiful part of the world.... So lucky 🐨🌻🕊️💖
Indeed - extremely fortunate to be able to enjoy it so readily
looks like a great coastal location ! similar to what QLD beaches has to offer in some ways however the water is on the other side.. good 4wding and tips .
Can’t say I found it a challenge…. Our Touareg just walked it through as if it was nothing, good trip to do as well.
Great drive also along the beach to Summertime track .Use Low 4 , 10 psi and use auto manualy to keep powered up ,happy days
Yes we have done that drive 3-4 times before as well…agree with your technique, it’s identical to what I do
Great video. I don't think my Pagero as enough clearance to negotiate some of the tracks. Would love to give it a try with the right mates though.
You’d be surprised - their was one or two fairly stock looking Pajeros down on the beach that day and I did talk with the owner of one and they have no issues going up Callcup or through the dunes.
You might be a bit surprised at what a stock Paj. can do.
My brother has had a couple of them and has gone plenty of places on road tyres that other more "capable" vehicles have gone.
The 4wd system in the Mitsi's is one of the best around although you don't hear much about it.
Good content and great vid
Hi Graham great vid,
? didnt quite get what the hip camp was called, looks like a great base to do the Margret river surrounds. PS hope the yeti treats you as well as ours looking forward to a yeti get together.
It’s called Fernbrook Farm - it’s be a fair hike from Margs tho 🤨….maybe you mean Pemberton & Manjimup.
Loving the Yeti, very happy with it…are you aware of the Yeti owners get together in June we are organising?
@@great_offroad_adventures yes, great idea. my mate has one and i believe he is interested as well, only problem is being shift workers so need a bit of notice
at this stage were are working on the long week end. i also want the darche set up you have , saw it in the work shop when it was originally getting done.
working on attending that weekend
Consider this your notice then - I’ll be making an event in the group for it in the next day or two.
@@great_offroad_adventures I'll be there , thanks for up date, looking forward to meeting you and having a chat about your travels
Seen a UA-cam video of a Subaru Forester strolling up that hill, took it in its stride easily
Sucks that you got sand in your car, but what an epic photo! Awesome video mate! What were your settings going up that hill, did you have it in low range or did you stay in high? It looked like another 200 series that was stuck half-way up, do you know what their issue was? Great stuff!
All the climbs (into the dunes, off the beach, up the big hill) I was in Low range using S mode to control then gears…..usually S3, S4 on the longer hills where more speed was needed.
It was another 200 (white one) which was stuck, they were from another group….so I don’t know what the issue was….probably tyre pressures
Hey dude headed down yeagarup sometime soon, never really been 4wding before, grown up on a farm, good starter ? Want to came somehweee down there
Hi mate did you see any salmon
"4wd only" bro my Subaru forester makes it up callup easy.
Good💚🌹💚🌹💚🌹
That poor bloke with the ranger struggling haha.
Wrong "4x4" for sand, they are terrible
Made the 300👍
