Thanks - listening to the breakout now - it does sound great! I was at the show at RFK on the 9th. It was great but, I was 15, so I was just amazed at the atmosphere, and don’t remember too much, but the next year, the Wall of Sound show at Capital Centre was imprinted on my brain. Hope you see Dark Star more than once! I saw the Dallas show in May, 3rd Dead and Co. show, with my son and daughter, and just a real step up from other tours.
6/10/73 was my first rock concert and my first Grateful Dead show and I don't remember too much from that day, I was amazed at the whole atmosphere of this non-sporting event, I was a mere 16-year-old teenager at the time. This official release sounds way better than my 2008 Charlie Miller "remaster" download or my cassette tapes.
Likewise out of 17 CD's only 5 play, and not to the normal sound quality, strictly lo-fi compared to the other Grateful Dead box sets. The japanese cloth that I can't pronounce is pretty pointless to myself, I wish they had spent a little more time producing CD's that were listenable.
Always look forward to hearing your thoughts on these releases. I’ve been debating ordering this set or Listen to the River. I’ve been enjoying MSG. Hope you enjoy this latest box. Would be nice to hear your thoughts on the sound quality later on.

I love when Dead shows double as family time, it just makes things that much sweeter.
I've been determined to limit my box set purchases to vinyl, but this is a really beautiful item!

Just received my 17 box set. Gorgeous packaging/box. CDs were all flawed. Blank tracks etc on all CDs from each show Hoping Rhino will replace CDs.

Night 2 at Citi!
Both nights were really fantastic
Thanks for the review! Great pocket knife - what make/model is it?
Thank you! The knife is a cheap Gerber Pledge that I got on sale earlier this year. It gets the job done when opening packages.
