I like how this video was done. Beautifully and with no stupid commentary and watching other people eat
Quinn Pascal Agreed! 👍
Seems to be the norm for this channel, which is why I subscribed in the first place.
stfu
I like watching them eat 😂
These guys are so unbelievably dedicated to what they do you can't help but have the utmost respect for them. These kind of people are the salt of the Earth.
Him: We have 30 ingredients in our breakfast Me: well I have 30 ingredients in my cereal
"Fortified" with essential artificial ingredients. 👍
The finest ingredients, balanced and perfect presentation, that to me is Japanese cuisine.
Thank you for this great series.
Dear Omakase fans, this is a rerelease of last week's Ryokan video with improved subtitles. As always, thanks for all your feedback!
bring back nick
LoL "improved" but still pretty shitty. They're still white on white in several places.
If you were going to the trouble of an upload, why not just replace ALL the subtitties with the same easy to read style? Makes too much sense?
where is nick??
4:44 the phrase "in route" is wrong (does not exist). It is either "en route" (french) or "on their way".
This looks excellent but I simply can't get behind the idea of "breakfast" as an 8 course tasting menu. Clearly gunning for the upscale experiance also means it (for me) betrays the idea of breakfast as a meal. I mean the expeiance looks phenomanal.
Japanese people have excellent hospitality. Excellent. They are so kind and accomodating
Such perfection I love it! Japanese cuisine is so delicious and wonderful in all ways!
Excellent move by the folks at Eater. Few channels would have done this. 👍👍
thanks for fixing the subtitles!!
cinematography Spot on :)
At 7:23 I love how he's saying guest to "feel relaxed" is what's so important to them, where BGM is sooo intense lol
This is insanely amazing
Another place on the bucket list
Thinking abut shogugeki no soma while watching... such an ART
Looks very satisfying and refreshing, I think I would love to visit this place whenever I decide to visit Japan in the future.
So much passion
Wow..it certainly felt like at home. It's just not cookery video..it's Japanese so it's cullinary art . Japan is on my bucket list.
動画楽しかったです。。thank you💕
Thanks for fixing the subtitle!
The lacquer and stoneware often gets neglected in these types of videos -- the selection used in this course is simply exquisite and as important to the overall presentation as the food.
i would literally cry at the end of this meal... pat my belly and whisper for more unpasteurized sake
I really like how he plated that orange.
So healthy!!
Ah another Hokkaido kombu :-) Must be good stuff
All of this for breakfast? This would be my food for whole week.
Japanese food is so good and healthy. I am so thankful that I have the opportunity to live here.
Do know how much this costs?
prodevel this is a Michelin star restaurant, so I'd be surprised if it weren't expensive
Bot
I disliked your comment because I.m envious of you :)
The chefs presentation is lovely and so precise.
Sidenote: Did anyone think of Juntao from Rush Hour 3 when they saw the first guy talking, or was it just me? 🤔
howd u make the subtitles still white but readable WHAT IS TIHS MAGIC
DJ StaRyu drop shadow
HOW HAVE I NEVER REALISED THIS SORCERY
kyookyoo sounds like an anime power attack. Dropu Shadow.
so true
BG generally dark.
Great 👍
Japanese is one of the best and authentic food in the world 🙏🏼
the music is soooo dramatic for a peaceful breakfast
Ayy they fixed the subtitles
AWESOME
Im sure going to feel at home eating meticulously prepared food, as well as gold leaf for breakfast 🍳
kanazawa, one of the most beautiful place in japan. kanarazu have to visit. if you feel real japan....
best video
👏😮👏just amazing xx
Orange and kiwi here dozo ! Ok, where is my michelin star ⭐️ now ?
that clamp soup, i want to eat there
This looks like the best way to wake up.
Dope
Getting OG Iron Chef vibes from this ryokan
Broooo i'm so hungry now omg
COOL
as much as it looks amazing and I bet tastes awesome, for me it would be a bit overkill. Tho my best ever Japanese breakfast I had is simple bowl of rice, miso soup, some fish, tomago omelet, natto plus some veggies.
I wanna have a house designed like that.
Wondering if the orange kiwi has anything on it, like elderflower honey glaze maybe?
$650/night for solo traveler
$430/night per person for couple.
650$ for an experience like this, it's not a high price at all
Hoang Luxius it is lol
Whatta time to be aggressively single
@@Luxius1509 It's a bit much for a Orange-kiwi dessert
thenxtbillionaire
Id pay for it
Wow
When i see Japan kitchen i say No to myself)
I'm really hungry right now.
Started in 1879
150th year
1879 + 150 = 2029 LOL
Michelin stars not like Oscars. People got it really deserve it.
5:48 tho funny face
Thought it was the Indie Band at first glance at the title XD
nice you fixed it but still a little bit to blend with white background,
it;s that porridge eat without any condemant beside the sauce?
LoeThor from my personal experience visiting japan and having traditional japanese breakfast, a good hot rice porridge doesnt need much condiments, you will be surprised how much unique aroma and clean delicate taste of rice you get, this one they serve looks pretty damn good
now that looks like the perfect place to smoke a joint 5:17
I m really enjoyed to watched this video. Salam suka beda from indonesia
goblok lo
Why does the chef look like an anime villain, lmao
What's that golden stuff at the start of the video that he puts on that dish?
Kaibara Yūzan would approve
Aye wake up feeling like kings
どんだけ横文字好きなんだこのオッサン
I can't believe I went to Kanazawa without trying this Ryokan. I hate myself.
Sugoi 🤩🤩🤩
すばらしいーーー
Big breakfast
The intro music turned me into a samurai
Looks ok
Thank you!
Watching this before I go to McDonald's for some sausage egg McMuffins
OKIN AH WAH!
AYYY EATER LISTENIN TO THE COMMENTS
AMAZING - AND Americans think IHOP and pancakes count as breakfast
Cooking with a tie, now that's tough.
Traditional in japan look expensive on my eyes
I wonder how much the food cost in each of the omakase eps
Song name?
WELCOME IT'S MR. MEESEEKS!
existence is pain.
So does the restaurant, the chef or the food get a Michelin Star? And is it awarded for just one meal like this breakfast?
American breakfast: pancakes, eggs, bacon, BUTTER
30 ingredients a day....for me it's a week, or even a month
I eat at least 30 different kinds of candy each day
Profile Name checks out.
Does the host remind anyone of a Japanese Jon Cryer?
If I remembered it right Japan is the world most Mechilin Stared country
Repost?
Yes, this is a repost of last weeks video. Our first round of subtitles weren’t readable in the kitchen scenes. Thanks so much for watching, Stephanie!
You did good, Eater. You did good.
What is michlen star?
this series is as good if not better than worth it by buzzfeed
Kwun Hei Chan this series shits on worth it. On this, they take the time to produce a well filmed doc that respects the craft. Worth it, “how much money can we waste on a plate of truffles and edible gold?”
Kwun Hei Chan yea the dude above is right. buzzfeed care about money spend and whether it worth it or not. This is beyond their budget to do a combo meal like this.
they're completely different shows with completely different content - both with awesome production value and showcasing fantastic food
DokiSuru Have you seen how much Buzzfeed spends on some videos? They dont care about the cost because theyll get 10x back.
IDiggPattyMayonnaise if 1k = $1 then 1mil = $1000. Let's say this inn cost around $600, excluding the flight tickets, adding the cost of the other inn around Japan around 400 and another one at 200. Hmm, I don't know about that. First of all, it wouldn't make sense for them to do a video on a whole course meal since they focus on a specific thing like wine, bread, fish, pizza, ramen, etcs.
Soundtrack ?
Japanese: Gold, silver, bronze
Me: Bronze, Silver, Gold
Communist Russia: Nothing, nothing, Gulag
kombu, suddenly i remembered saitama n genos
5:48
and here i am eating corn flakes
to get a star you need gold leaf on your dish and some trouffles
This breakfast has its price, and not only for those who have a lot of money because it also needs a lot of time for you to be able to consume it all. I think it should not take less than 2 hours for preparation and consumption.
MIIIISSSOOOOO SSSOOOUUUPPPP!!!!!!
150 yr history. Every dish is made individually, 30 ingredients in the full course meal. Wow,must cost a pretty penny to dine there.
costs 600$
5:49 hi said tempeh....?????
It is funny that you got the stars for your restaurant from a tire company
How to upset the chef, ask for a to go box.
You know the food is gonna be good when the chefs wear white shirts and ties under their uniforms.
This is actually super boring and not tasty at all. Just because it's expensive and the chef extra pompous doesn't mean the food is anywhere near good.
@@ughlwtmechangerhisthabks8349 Clean, and fresh with precision and style. Sure - for some people that is boring. Different strokes for different folks.
