The Ori make a Grand Entrance into the Milky Way by Decimating anything in its way. The Free Jaffa, The Lucian Alliance, The Tau'ri and the Asgard all Decimated in a Dominate Showing.
If you replace the four Ori motherships with four Asgard O'Neill class ships, the result would be the same slaughtering. Wish the Asgard could have sent more than just one ship. It was basically 1 vs 4 right there. All the other ships were irrelevant and useless compare to Asgard O'Neill class. You can imagine the Asgard on that ship was like “team sucks!”
@Pepe's Kebabs , Naw, the super Ha’tak was as tough as the older Asgard ships. Both could destroy a regular Ha’tak in a few shots. Apophis’s flagship was no match for the Replicator-infested alien ship. While O’Neill was able to destroy Replicator block ship. Anubis first flagship used 7 “eyes” which were ancient artifacts. His second flagship's shields were completely ineffective against Ancient drones. Asgard shields could block Ancient drones just fine as demonstrated in Atlantis battles. O’Neill class warship is far superior to anything Goa’uld had.
The Asgard ship was the only one powerful and agile enough to trade shots using their smaller guns, whereas the Ha'taks were shredded. The ship was there pretty much to get enough info on the Ori ships to develop weapons capable of penetrating their shields.
The only comparable Battleship to the Asgard O'Neill Class is the Daedalus with Asgard Upgrade. It would have been an interesting battle to See, if two O'Neill Chassis and the upgraded Daedalus vs two Ori Ships

you have to admit that the shields of the Bc-304's put up a valiant fight. Only failing after 3-4 Ori beam weapon hits, the last two of which hit at the same time.
304 uses Asgard shields. Although not the latest model, and not with Asgard power source. So it is not even working as intended due to lack of power. The latest Asgard shields they put on 304 was taking fire from four Ori ships for a good 15 minutes without failing in the movie Ark of Truth.
Antares 8001 It was. But it just showed what Asgard shields is actually capable of if the power source is not a problem. Asgard ships are powered by four ion generators. While 304s are powered by a single (inferior than Goa’uld) naquda generator. Even Ha’tak had more power output, it is just that their shields are not as advanced.
they had the power source but not the shield tech of asgard. they basically dint even upgrade thier technology for hundreds or even thousands of years, since the only enemies were other goauld.
It would have died in 1 or two volleys. Orion class battlecruisers could casually obliterate Hives. Ori Ships had overpowered beams that could do the same, and their shields were basically invulnerable to everything that wasn't advanced Asgard plasma beams
Yeah, well, I'm certain that the Ancients could invent a ship powerful enough to equal the Ori armada, or just send a bunch of replicators after them, but the Wraith... I'm not so sure about that.
Wraith wouldn't stand a chance. Ori ship might one-shot them. 2~3 at most. But yeah, I'd love to see villains fighting villains. It is more fun. In that one episode where they used super gate to destroy an Ori ship and a wraith hive on the opposite side of the galaxy, instead of doing that, they should have just somehow let the wraith hive enter the wormhole and appear in front of Ori, or vice versa. Then let them have a death match after a "WTF" moment lol.
The true ultimate showdown - Ori vs. Asurans. Can 10,000 year old technology hold up against the power of Ascension? ...Seriously, can it? I have no idea. I guess it depends on how effectively drones can penetrate Ori shields. I don't think we've ever seen anything hold off mass drone fire except the ZPM Hive Ship.

They did try dialing it(supergate) but it failed and required them to use Pegasus galaxy. The as-guard didn’t have the same things stored what the tauri had for cloak and phase on hand. They were never seen requesting it, but they did understand enough of what the tauri learned from ancients flight from ori as they faced extreme difficulties surviving even long enough for their civilization to fall so suddenly. The noble asguard were made aware their idioting and their politics had become so much weaker due to very old age.
It's adorable how Earth ships tried to destroy Ori ships like were they serious about that XD Little railguns have trouble even with Ha'tak shields and than let's go shoot Ori ships like it's going to work very well! One of the main trouble of 304 ships - she need to transfer power from all systems to one for use it at maximum. If 304 run sublights its weaken her shields.
It's because they are Ori Mothership Cruisers, which in comparison in size, they are 2/3rds the size of a wraith hive ship, asgard ships dont need to be big, as they dont have a "huge" population, therefore, most of their controls are done by AI and control crystals, thus eliminating the need for more personnel on board :P Same thing would be done with us humans with automation, but because we like big things, we gonna need alot more personnel on board to fill the gaps in the ships :o gotta remember it like this : The bigger the ship is, the more personnel you need (besides that, Ori motherships were designed to be huge troop carriers) or More AI automation needed :p
