The Sounds of Space: A sonic adventure to other worlds
Вставка
- Опубліковано 15 чер 2021
- A collaboration with the podcast Twenty Thousand Hertz: 20k.org
Soundtrack: melodysheep.bandcamp.com/albu... | Space is more than just a feast for the eyes. It’s a feast for the ears. You just have to know where -- and when -- to look.
Floating in the silent void of space are trillions of islands of sound, each with their own sonic flavor -- some eerily familiar, some wildly different than Earth’s. And even space itself was once brimming with sound.
This short film takes you on a journey back in time and to the edge of our solar system and beyond, to discover what other worlds of sound are lurking beyond Earth's atmosphere. You won't believe your ears :)

Earth could be hell for some alien species. Earth is perfect for us because we evolved on it.
Religion has entered the chat
@@VoidLantadd not really, it couldn't be hell for other aliens, like in movies, since there is no life without enough oxygen/azot/hydrogen and anything that is composing our breathable air and without water, with minerals in it, so technically what they are saying is correct, any living being in the universe could live on earth, maybe not everywhere like us, it can be underwater, close to vulcanos, or even in mountains. i might be wrong so if you want to correct me it'll be appreciated since my english sucks and i'm not good at science :')
@@adiyn_ there could be a species that breathes a gas that isn't common on Earth, and so they would suffocate in Earth's atmosphere. Or perhaps they evolved in a different atmospheric pressure, and wouldn't function on Earth. There are plenty of ways Earth could be hell for alien life.

I just absolutely LOVE melodysheep's videos, they really convey the wonders of the universe, they tell us our own role in the grand scheme of things and most of all, they look and sound absolutely fascinating. We only understand about 5% of the universe but those 5% are already amazing, terrifying, interesting, jaw-dropping and wonderful. Thank you for all your hard work making these videos and even more, for sharing them with us!
5% ? Where is that number from ? Or better, who pulled that out of his arse ?
@@connycontainer9459 5% of the universe is visible matter, i.e. stuff made of the particles we know, the Standard Model. Then there is dark matter, we have no idea what it is made of, but we know it interacts via gravity and about 3/4 of the universe is Dark Energy, which is responsible for the accelerated expansion of the universe. Right now we don't even have the slightest idea what that really is. It's common knowledge that we only understand a tiny fraction of the universe and "traditional matter" (i.e. stuff we understand) only makes about 5-6% of everything there is.
