The Sounds of Space: A sonic adventure to other worlds

    Soundtrack: melodysheep.bandcamp.com/albu... | Space is more than just a feast for the eyes. It’s a feast for the ears. You just have to know where -- and when -- to look.
    Floating in the silent void of space are trillions of islands of sound, each with their own sonic flavor -- some eerily familiar, some wildly different than Earth’s. And even space itself was once brimming with sound.
    This short film takes you on a journey back in time and to the edge of our solar system and beyond, to discover what other worlds of sound are lurking beyond Earth's atmosphere. You won't believe your ears :)

    I collabed with one of my favorite podcasts, Twenty Thousand Hertz, to make this short film adapted from their episode on space.
    I've linked to the sounds directly in the description if you were distracted by the music or VO. my bad!
    Enjoy the ride my friends. Any questions for me?

    I just absolutely LOVE melodysheep's videos, they really convey the wonders of the universe, they tell us our own role in the grand scheme of things and most of all, they look and sound absolutely fascinating. We only understand about 5% of the universe but those 5% are already amazing, terrifying, interesting, jaw-dropping and wonderful. Thank you for all your hard work making these videos and even more, for sharing them with us!

      @Arsenic71 Рік тому

      @@connycontainer9459 5% of the universe is visible matter, i.e. stuff made of the particles we know, the Standard Model. Then there is dark matter, we have no idea what it is made of, but we know it interacts via gravity and about 3/4 of the universe is Dark Energy, which is responsible for the accelerated expansion of the universe. Right now we don't even have the slightest idea what that really is. It's common knowledge that we only understand a tiny fraction of the universe and "traditional matter" (i.e. stuff we understand) only makes about 5-6% of everything there is.

    I just wanted to comment that this video led to a lot of opportunities in my life and I can't thank you all enough for it. It inspired me to start my own space project which lead to me seeking out professors and talking to my local university...this made so many connections for me as I researched my project which eventually turned into a light spectrum project and is now multiple months later an art project about the cassini mission. I got a front window display downtown in my city and will be presenting in a few weeks.

    The Video, narration, cinematography was absolutely amazing and mind blowing BUT as the video is titled 'The sounds of space' many of us didn't click to hear music/piano instead of actual sounds. During the whole video and narration part the music was amazing and on point with its vibe but at the part of listening, if the actual sound would have had played alone without bgm it would have been even more enjoyable and connectable with the video for us because that's what the whole point of this video is.
