Love this band and they don't get enough credit for being a huge part of the whole Seattle scene. Thank you Candlebox for being part of my High School Soundtrack.
My 9 year old is getting a nice guitar set up for his birthday soon. He wants to play this epic song that kills me every time. I want to learn it with him
i know amazing song we I speck too . . . this song means a lot to someone I love since I was 12 years old . . . drugs fk up lifes and familys who u care so deeply I have 3 children 4 years old son and twin girl and boy they are 20 mouths old . . . I don't want to see the man i ben in love with since i was 12 years old waste his music career on drugs . . . almost 30 years old and i still love him after everything we ben throw . . . .drug life fken sucks and it puts a stamp in ur heart forever . :(
@@carrie-lynncross4976 lost a girlfriend to alcohol, dated for a year and didn't even know she had a problem...she hid it well. every time i play this song on guitar, i sing to her.
I Feel You But I Don't Like The Way They Sounded Here Sorry My Opinion Tho!! Don't Get It Fucked Up I Love This Band I'm Just Saying They Could Of Did Better Than That!!!
Underrated band unfairly criticised for not being "Grunge" enough......utter bullshit of course.....a great band with great songs, ahead of their time.....a breath of fresh air even by today's standards.....Long may they be around....
Oh my God... Completey forgot about this song!! I used to listen to this song all the time when I was younger. Used to be up in my room just layin back, listenin to these guys. Time well spent, gotta say
i once saw candlebox perform in a tower records, 4 songs acoustic. i was no more than 10 feet from them. the doors were locked, and man were there riots by those locked out. awesome show.
I’ve only seen them once and it made me fall in love with them all over again ❤ I agree.. Kevin’s voice is mesmerizing.. I know ppl keep calling them underrated but I’m happy they were preserved.. 😊
people need to give him a little credit here. these radio performances are usually during the morning shows and no ones voice is up to par after you wake up for a couple hours at least. this is a solid acoustic performance.
even after all these years candlebox still has more talent than most of the bands that are around. i hope they are around for so much longer so my kids can apreciate such musical power.
Seen them last Monday and they still sound as good as they did back in the day , Kevin still has a powerful voice and honestly I was amazed how good they still sound.
This was beautiful. I've always enjoyed this song because I can really relate to it and it hits me deep. I actually started crying during this performance. Thanks for uploading.
Excellent job, guys! I have been a huge fan of these guys since their formation. Saw them back in the day and then was there for the live DVD recordings in Seattle. What a great band.
I like the slower vocals a lot and the acoustic solo starting around 3:50 is amazing, and the lyric "But then someday comes tomorrow holds a sense of what I fear for you in my mind As you trip your final line (Andrew Wood of MLB OD'ing--R.I.P. Andrew) And that cold day when you lost control Shame you left my life So soon you should have told me But you left me far behind"
But then someday comes tomorrow holds a sense of what I fear for you in my mind *As* *you* *trip* *your* *final* *line* And that cold day when you lost control Shame you left my life So soon you should have told me But you left me far behind
Man I am finding that there are so many different ways that people play this song. Of course I am watching the original version here....aren't I..?? lol. This is cool I have to study this a lot more. Fantastic song...great group,.If only we could have more great acoustic songs nowadays..... To Cool.
this version is very moving...puts more emotion behind the lyrics than the original in my opinion. Great band, I like their style very much. Still prefer the originals of grunge like Alica in Chains, pearl Jam and Vedder...but Candlebox surely isn't far behind *pun unintended* great song with deep lyrics.
@topchris someone told me the song was written about the singers brother who died from an od. hence the lyrics you were flyin oh so high, but again that was told to me a long time ago. not sure though.
incorrect. if you think nirvana started grunge read a book about nirvana. green river (very arguably) were the first grunge band. they featured two future pearl jam members. also eddie vedder spoke often about jim morrison being his biggest vocal influence. candlebox isnt really grunge btw.
My wife loved this song. she passed away 2 years go. Thank you you for providing her confort. By the ways I'm also a huge fan
"Shame you left my life so soon, you should have told me, hey but you left me far behind." = chills
Great performance - I could here this song a 1,000 times and it NEVER gets old Greatest Song of All Time!!!
Ahhh my teen tears come rolling back to me... 1995 come back... Real music... Real talent. Love these guys!
Totally agree. We don't get music like this anymore.
And that kids was real music, and real artists. Long live 80's and 90's hard rock/grunge wave.
+Pedro Gonzalez And kids..i am a big red dog
Love this band and they don't get enough credit for being a huge part of the whole Seattle scene. Thank you Candlebox for being part of my High School Soundtrack.
True they can in right at the end of the grunge craze
It was post high school for me but same ❤
My favorite version of the song, man that acoustic solo was on point. I grew up in the 90's these songs always take me back

Candlebox rocks. They personally mailed me a bunch of guitar picks. How many big bands like these guys would do that? One of the best live bands ever!
Underrated band unfairly criticised for not being "Grunge" enough......utter bullshit of course.....a great band with great songs, ahead of their time.....a breath of fresh air even by today's standards.....Long may they be around....
Well said...
Easy there edgar allen fucking poe
Euro Guitar So true about the music being ahead of it's time I am hearing this in 2017 for the first time today I think I am in love with the song
"Don't You" is a pretty heavy and amazing song
I think another reason for them not fitting in was their age. They were several years younger than the big Seattle bands.
This is an awesome version. I wish they recorded the song unplugged.
Oh my God... Completey forgot about this song!! I used to listen to this song all the time when I was younger. Used to be up in my room just layin back, listenin to these guys. Time well spent, gotta say
Will always be my favorite song ❤

This is a gem
Sometimes some people know exactly how I feel and end up singing about it. This is one of them.
