I wouldn't say Elon Musk is some kind ef free speech guy. Not at all, He's done something very similar to Twitter as Zuckerberg & Co., or whoever runs Facebook, has done over there at Facebook. Making it walled-off, and very difficult to look at if you don't have an account. We live in a period of time when we have a population that is very dogmatic and intolerant on certain issues to a degree that I find downright weird. When I had a Twitter account, I was seeing what I deemed was a lot of nonsense about child marriage and I set about disputing these people. Something inside me wants do confront people. Well, eventually I had people doing what I call gangpiling me. They were continuously calling for me to be deplatformed and kicked off of Twitter and forwarding my information to F.B.I. and other police agencies. The sítuation was very weird, since I couldn't see I was advocating breaking the law, just questioning mostly the way the laws currently exist and the direction the laws are going in. I have some thoughts about why people are acting like this. I think they are reacting in part to things like the whole situation around Jeffrey Epstein, which gave people a sort of unresolved sense that there was some sort of vast criminal conspiracy going on, which was somehow untouchable. Soon after this, Joe Biden becomes president, and he is widely disliked by large segments of the public. He seems to have a thing for little girls, and he is very open about it. So all these things cause unresolved anger and angst in people, and they are reacting to this. They have become very intolerant of anybody who disagrees. So I was getting all these mostly extremely negative messages, way more than I could or wanted to respond to, and finally at some point my Twitter account was suspended. What a relief. This stuff was starting to get downright worrisome. Strangely enough my Twitter account still exists, so I can login anytime I want and look at my old posts, for whatever good that does me. What I didn't like was I was told I could never create another Twitter account for the rest of my life. This tells me that Elon Musk is not a free speech guy.
@@JosephSneep I have no idea. It's very hard for me to look at it now so I basically just gave up on it. It's a shame because I liked some of the people on there. I don't really like the new internet protocols where they have everything geared to people's cell phones. What happens is if I go to Twitter, it starts logging me in to my old suspended account. Which doesn't help at all, I still seemingly can't look at anything, or if I can, it's just so difficult I don't even bother. I think Musk has made statements to the effect that there would be no place for discussion of MAP issues on Twitter. I don't like calling it X either. This just shows his egoism.
One thing that I would like to see bitchute doing is verification on likes based on membership status. So if a video has 10 likes, for example, I would have the option to see how many of those likes were from accounts with an active paid membership. I like that the videos are low resolution for now. Its efficient. Another alternative I have considered is one that cahlen mentioned, its a distributed platform instead of centralized, like torrenting files. That might be the most ideal if the laws of most countries wouldint censor the content on there as much as they do on centralized platforms.
When those alternatives start getting popular, they can go from good to bad real quick.
@@JosephSneep Good take!
@@JosephSneep I also Have Odysee just In Case when My UA-cam Channel gets Hacked and Deactivated or worse.
@@JosephSneep I like to upload to Bitchute occationally
Atleast Dailymotion doesn’t censor comments the way UA-cam does.
Still lots of censorship on that site though. Rumble mogs both.
@@JosephSneep I like Rumble
youtube is trash. crazy how they took dislikes away and normies cried for a week then moved on
yeah
The availability of fringe content is much better on Bitchute but it’s sleek looking like UA-cam.
