Im going to dry for some divers in a local river . I have seen them around and am going to scout.I see you and otheres putting geese in with the divers . You recommend keeping them seperate or does it matter .I always put geese in wth my puddle duck spread and it does not matter . works well.New to divers .Thanks
The swan decoys in this video are used as confident and visual decoy for the divers. When you’re scouting, make note whether or not there are Canada’s with divers. If anything, test it out and see what happens! Never know until you try! Good luck!
Where the guys were working in the dead rises last year there were massive rafts of oldsquaw following us eating what we kicked up. Welcome to the upper Chesapeake
Im trying to figure out if he said 800 or a hundred. I keep rewatching it. Because 800 decoys aren't fitting in thoses 2 boats with all the gear and guys
That was my bad 😓 we did intros and there was a lot of dialogue at the ramp which made it hard to cut out of the video. Will be taking this info and using on future trips. Thanks for watching, RJ!
If your hunting where I think you are not just anyone can run across there and hunt or you’ll be hearing about them in the news. Awesome video nothing like a good diver hunt.
@@erird514yeah it is a good spot and most of the John boat guys will be hard pressed during a good ducky day. Bluebird days not an issue but I wouldn’t take a John across when the winds are prime. It gets nautical there.
ALOTTA money in equipment- someone likes to duck hunt. A black flag is cheaper than one duck decoy……and y’all ain’t got one? Divers go to waving black flags better than all waterfowl species, a broom handle and some cloth is all you need. Enjoyed the video, always support public duck hunters.👍
Probably the most realistic type hunting video for us common folk. Good stuff right here
6:08 that's why we wake up at three AM and work our ass off! Great filming and shooting!
4:09 Hen redhead comes in and dies “is that a gadwall”😭😭
I think I used that landing a few years ago. Watching them big flocks of reds and Bill is something else...
Good stuff! We didn't get good numbers down here on the Gulf Coast, but managed a few redheads this year.
800 decoys, sitka sponsorship, 2 boats, all the ducks you can shoot at, and NO DOG? C'mon! Its painful to watch you guys wade around on your tip toes.
It's called not being a pussy and getting your own shit. I havant used a dog and probably won't untill im 70
Agree to agree, Keegan.👍
Spend that much on equipment and no canine- they missing out on one of the best reasons why to hunt ducks.
That was my first thought haha
Literally the first thing I thought of...My Blacks would eat that spot alive...
Dogs don’t have much of a place in diver hunting

Isn’t that the way start packing up and the birds move 👀
Everytime. 😂
Good shoot. I think better decoy placement may help with your success. Attention to detail makes a big difference in the lower shore.
Love shooting tons of divers on big water. Farthest East I've hunted is Saginaw Bay, but Maryland is on the list for some sea ducks
The UA-cam duck hunting thing. Great
What kind of boat are you guys using
2kbaby always bumping in my blind too 😅
YEAH! Haha we had 2kbaby on all weekend so I knew I had to keep the clip in the video.
What boat is that camo rig with the Suzuki? I'm in the market for a new boat
IT was a 25 foot sea ark with a 115 Suzuki four stroke motor
Great video love Dem reds
There’s probably about 10 grand worth of Sitka in that blind
Probably even more 😅 thanks for watching, Will!
Did I hear 800 dekes in the spread?
ha you heard that correctly
@@CampusWaterfowl not half of that out there
Nice video! What type of boat was that around 7:16

That was not 800 decoys.

I don't care what ANYONE says...There's nothing like shooting Bull Cans...The best
12.50, how many shots for one bird? and then it needed water swatted.... unreal
common boys don't show boat ramp otherwise good shoot

Videos ruin spots all the time especially in md where you can tell just about any location from land/backdrops.

12:37 someone needs to take away his duck call
Not going to lie this would be a good group to hunt with hahahaha
Lol it was a damn good time! 😂
I seen that hen
Don't f-in shoot me lol.. where's the dog? Got a mess of birds though.
🦆👍
This video could have been cool.

Never thought about using a flag for divers - we'll have to give it a try the next time we go after divers. Thanks for watching!
100%. Used to use a goose flag but they catch the wind too much. Square diver flag with a broom handle as discribed works better than a mojo.
They need a dog!
Take that guys call away from him lol that shit sounds god awful
nice
swans are the dumbest of waterfowl for sure
This is so painful to watch...
