God Bless You. Having worked at a community land trust in Illinois, I'm happy to hear that you started one in Detroit. I know what it takes to get it off the ground and you are to be commended. God has a bigger plan for you. Look forward to hearing what the future holds for you.
Hi @GinaJackson-b2e. I am from Illinois. Are any of these land trust near Chicago? Like Broadview, or further north like Round lake, gurnee.
All the best to you. You did something great here. I can't wait to hear and see what you do next.
God is getting her ready for something bigger, I pray that she's ready 🙏🏾 ❤
Oh, I'm confident she's ready. Not at all sure of her particular situation, but having worked for non-profits from 1980s to early 2000s. Leading up to our state of devolving from globalism. Much of the work has had to do with modeling community successes, but in the end benefiting corporate growth. But we do still have communities that continue to need development, or even creation. Transition can be tiring after what I can see here as plenty of learning, ingenuity and completing a job very well done. And there is often a call for us. To start, create, delivering something big from nothing. And then... it's best for us to take that knowledge and move forward. Feel very well accomplished in delivering what others did not imagine. Know that your father is giving you the strength to do great things in his name.
Bless this wonderful developer Jesus. Open a door for her to further benefit the residents of Detroit. I love her spirit.
Truly impressive. Congratulations, Detroit, on having this wonderful visionary in your midst. The housing development project is just beautiful. Way to go! 💯👍
I toured these homes and they are absolutely stunning! The staging was immaculate! Great job! I'm sure that her next endeavor will be just as rewarding and just as impactful!
I wonder if using batteries with a couple of solar panels would be better options for them!! I wish this young lady nothing but success, so proud of her! 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
I agree. There are many communities in rural areas starting to use solar panels and I think they get some kind of state financial assistance to start it.
Love what you're doing Tricia well presented keep up the great work!
Don't believe that Tricia you can take what you know anywhere in America, put your proposal together and reach out to investors you can make it make sense they're going to jump on it that's what they do!!
Proud of you beautiful neighborhood I know it wasn't easy keep up the good work we need more people like you in Detroit keep making those videos
I agree a reliable solar system would be a better option and create more efficiency... All the best to Tricia and the future homeowners 🎉
Beautiful! THIS is how it should be done! And this shows that it CAN be done! Thank you Tricia Talley! You are a HERO!
This woman sounds so humble and concerned about her community and no ego at all- and explained very calmly and knowledgeably everything she’s done to get this project to this point- I wonder why they didn’t renew her contract. I doh t at all she had anything to do about it- this woman is textbook perfect employee- calm, professional, hardworking, network g and team building
I'm from Detroit and living in Las Vegas. That would be great, because affordable houses are needed here.
Congratulations Queen, I'll be doing the same, with Ur Help. ❤
now this is inspiring!!!! building my own neighborhoods, with my own blueprints, on my own lands, God will do it for me!!! i went to school for interior design sustainable designs, and we were learning blueprints, drawing, and plenty more. i went into the course knowing that one day i am going to build my dream home from scratch, and will be able to aid with important keywords when the construction company talks breakdowns with me about what i am looking for in a home!
but, i can also use those skills when developing rental properties on my own land!
Super excited for you!
Where did you go to school? Would you recommend your program ? I am interested in learning the same thing and would love to know more.
This is very impressive, excellent Detroit ...!
I fondly recall the grass roots efforts that were instrumental in bringing this project to fruition. The individual behind this initiative embodies great wisdom and integrity. She genuinely cares about uplifting, hard-working individuals, particularly those who have been overlooked or marginalized. Her understanding that perseverance in the face of opposition is vital for success, is truly inspiring. I am immensely proud of her and eagerly anticipate seeing more of her work highlighted, as it deserves great recognition for the impactful efforts she has initiated. So very proud of you!
Congratulations, this is beautiful...keep up the excellent work 👏🏽. One of my dreams is to build homes and help homeless families ...all Glory to God 🙌🏽.
Mr. Mayor, this was the best. Please highlight more stories like this and platform more black female developers, realtors and other professionals that contribute to the overall revitalization of Detroit.
I don’t know her, but I love her and I love her vision
I would love to see a development like this in Detroit that includes agro.forestey, permaculture, renewable energy and sustainable urban agriculture features. Detroit is the perfect place for it.

Congratulations…proud of you! I’m a Marine Corps Veteran who spent my first 18 years in Detroit. I love 💕 seeing any opportunities to lift my hometown. I’m with you…the upgrades make it an even sweeter experience. Keep up the great work!❤
She has done a wonderful job of informing us about this type of homes that is for people who would not have the opportunity or abled to dream they could have a home. I'm so proud of this Intelligent and Compassionate and loving Black woman for her services to humanity not just Detroit because you can see her vision is much broader. Thank You , Ms. Tricia. May God Bless whatever you put your hands too.
Wow she is incredible! To see her vision come full circle is amazing! It’s interesting that they chose not to renew her contract after seeing what she’s accomplished is disheartening! Hopefully other communities within the city will see the value she brings and hire her!
What a DISHEARTENING EVENT to remove this position from a WOMAN that has been in that neighborhood for 25 YEARS THIS IS THE TYPE of CITIZEN we CLAIM WE WANT and then when THERE DREAM becomes a SUCCESS they REMOVE HER …. I’d be INTERESTED IN KNOWING WHAT THE REASON WAS TO ELIMINATE HER POSITION …. She came UP though the RANKS to this TOP position…. I can only think of ONE REASON… Unless another LEGITIMATE REASON COMES TO THE FOREFRONT !
Connections DG these ideas will be taken kick the person with vision out
@@elmariedixon1673exactly it happens all the time, with many different products. If it could happen to Steve Jobs, it can happen to anyone.
They need to build more of those to fill in the empty spaces throughout every neighborhood
You've done a great job Tricia, your blessings are on the way!!! Bigger and better blessings from God are one the way, hold your head up and keep moving forward!!!
This is an amazing project and you have done a wonderful job. Please keep up the good work Detroit deserves it!

It's absolutely beautiful !!!
If DTE had competition they would've been Johnny on the spot getting those poles up. Sounds like they expected her to fail.

if anyone can pass this msg to Ms Talley--if she's looking for a city w/ ample land to replicate her redevelopment idea, the historic westside of LAS VEGAS from owens st (N) to washington st (S) from the 15 (E) to martin luther king (W) is RIPE for redevelopment. there's not been any significant development in the area in at least 30 yrs and she is knowledgeable enough to get whatever councilmember to stop making empty promises, smiling for the camera & create some legitimate, viable change for this community!
Did you watch the video in its entirety 👀? She gave out her email address at the end. Contact her directly; you have a great concept 👍🏿.
Awesome!!!!
I love it😊
wow those houses are so beautiful. not gross cookie cutter houses.
As a former Detroiter, I like what she is doing but I would go with Tiny Homes and container home communities as well, because of the different incomes and faster developments. Most folks need to pay that mortgage off as soon as possible and only have the land tax annually. That way savings can accumulate rapidly for more spending in the local communities, such as corner stores, beauty salons, barber shops, churches, etc. Nice-looking communities will bring businesses!!
This is awesome
👏👏👏👏👏all is well in Christ Jesus our Lord and Savior amen amen and amen ❤️❤️❤️
These Houses Are Awesome and Look Very Affordable what is the Start Asking Price?
Good question.
She said they’re going to try to keep the prices way under $300,000 😳 that’s still a lot of money!
@ardenajohnson5130 Yes it is Especially during a Recession and A lot depend on the Income Status of the Couple which I hope they sell to couples (husband and Wife ) and what the rules are Governing the Association
Wonderful 🙏❤️
300k that's alot.
i am wondering if this would be a good opportunity to explore alternative energy resources? everything starts from an idea, and perhaps an infrastructure of alternative energy sources could also be implemented here.
Like solar energy?
@fisherlove11320q yes, that may be a viable option. i don't know enough to say what options are plausible and sustainable for the creation of a new grid of energy. someone has to do , so this could be a good place to start.
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Maybe she could do something like this in South Dallas,Tx.
I am here in Detroit and would Luv to have a conversation with this Young ladies for Tiny Home Developments. How can we make this happen. Thanks 🎈
Beautiful 👍🏽 How do we qualify or is this the same as the Zillow process?
I want to use your blueprint in my City!
Please go solar, Don't wait on D.T.E. if there is a road block, take another road. I believe that God will get you to where you want to be. God bless you for what you are doing and Never I mean Never give up! Take care.
I'm on my way home
So am I. I have lived in TN for 35 years, but was raised on the East Side of Detroit. 2025 will see my return.
There are SEEDS OF GROWTH and TURN AROUND THROUGH OUT THE CITY ! WELCOME BACK
wait she graduated in 1987? OMG Black really don't crack, I thought she was 30!! Congratulations, on everything!
❤
How can get involved with your organization? How does one go about purchasing one of the homes?
keep me updated please
5:56 so it can be done 👍✅ priceless
Did she mention what brand modular homes she used?
🙌🙌🙌🙌
Dope
I would like information on how I can put a house on my lot in north cork town
That part !!!!!! Your own business
President Biden should know about her I am sure he does before he leaves office
How about installing solar panels to resolve the power issue with DTE? This would also make the homes clean energy efficient and help the planet. :)
