Tiny Estates is a large thriving tiny house village in Elizabethtown, PA--residents of all ages shared all the benefits they've enjoyed while living there.❤ Now the creator, Abby is working to create 40 more communities across the USA--5 expected to be announced in 2023! Thank you for showcasing this community! It's what every city/town could use. I admire Abby for being able to work with that many people and personalities! I couldn't imagine planning out that many home sites, but I'm sure glad there is someone who is thriving in that role! What a blessing to the community! 😊
@@DawnOldham most welcome! Abby created & her team are good people who are doing what they can to create as many quality tiny communities as they can ❤️
I absolutely love this community and their ideas. Seems like a great place to live. This is what we need, to get everyone out talking, helping each other. Kinda takes you back k in time when people helped people, shared with neighbors, bartered things or time. Love it! Great job!❤
Absolutely and she would have a massive list of skills and experience over that 20 years. People underestimate the amount of skills required to raise children and keep a house.
I can so relate, I was a stay at home Mum for 13 years, and the last 3 of those I was actively trying to get back into the workforce. I was treated like a second-class citizen, and it got me down, but on reflection, I will never let anybody make me feel less-than for making the right choice for my family at that time.
Man I wish with ALL OF MY HEART we would adopt this idea worldwide. It's devastating how little we care for each other. There should be no homeless when there is so much money. These are sustainable and smart and human. Logical. Duh 🙄 to all who just don't get it. Imagine how many would benefit from these in every city??❤
You can thank the nameless bureaucrats that subscribe to NIMBY. One option is using the American with Disabilities Act, where a town or city cannot discriminate against an elderly or disabled individual that wanted to place a tiny home or a park model on someones property, hooking up utilities, water, sewer to existing. The owner could pay the land owner a monthly amount to help them with their property taxes. A Win-Win situation.
Imagine having the broke back tranq addicts crooked walking down your lovely paths…you don’t really want the drugs here…also it’s hard for seniors to climb up the tiny ladders and crawling out of bed…there’s a shelf life for a tiny low ceiling loft…
@annc3908 there are several one level homes just right for that. What makes them any less worthy? Let's hope you or anyone you love never suffers from a terrible disease. I'm sure it really sucks for them and anyone who may love them.
$650-$750 is a high monthly rent! I own a home & property : $50 MO water, sewer & trash, $70 internet, electric avg $150 Leaves it not optional except for those upper middle income or higher. Tiny homes is a great concept but not even close to helping lower income
Abby is a smart lady. Affordable housing is a huge need everywhere! People have different interests and tastes, so, cookie cutter housing is outdated and unwanted by most. This is such a great answer!
It varies a lot by location; rural locations tend to be less. This is in a great smaller town (2 minutes to grocery, coffee & restaurants) with good amenities & nature access, super close to a small city with all lots of shopping & entertainment. What’s great about lot rent here is it included all utilities & internet, plus all the facilities in the clubhouse. Electric & internet typically aren’t included other places.
I love the concept of renting different types of units to try out tiny living. I would only want to see if the villages would build communal underground storm shelters since many of these homes are on wheels.
I just love the variety your channel offers. This was so interesting. I really felt for the lady who said she didn't exist because she had been a stay at home mom. That says so much about our society. I love the interaction of the residents. People helping other people!
The problem with mobile home/RV communities is that investors are buying them up and displacing the residents. This is a huge issue inn Austin, with equity mgt companies buying up mobile home parks and contributing the unaffordablity of Austin. I recommend you put a deed restriction on the property.
This is incredible storytelling. I love the whole tiny homes community aesthetic. I would suggest TinyPocket Homes if you're on a low budget and what the same level of design aesthetic. $6,000 will get you something decent
I live in Knoxville Tn, and there is a growing tiny home movement here. My wife is a nurse, and a few of her younger coworkers (not that we are old (we are)) are going the tiny home route and it seems to be a great alternative to 20/30 year mortgages. I spoke to Abby back in January this year and she was nice and helpful, I wanted prices on renting and purchasing. I live in Phila PA and Elizabethtown PA is about 45mins to hr away. Please, consider Michigan for one of your Tiny Estates! I'd love to go tiny, but we don't have tiny house communities in the state as yet. With both the lower and upper peninsulas surrounded by the Great Lakes, not to mention the thousands of inland lakes and lots of wooded property, Michigan would be a great place for one of your communities. Obviously, I'm very impressed with what you have in PA! ❤️
I'd love to see communities like this in Western Washington! I currently live in Reno and these humongous complexes have sprung up allover...I think the architects got their inspiration from 1950's Soviet housing complexes!!
I wish Canada would build more of these villages. Affordable for the majority of our families, young or older retirees. My granddaughters cannot afford to rent or buy at all. My husband and I live in a small modular home in a campground/adult community. Not huge or expensive. All amenities. We can now afford to travel and breathe. All governments here give a lot of blockages to make this happen. Keep this up!👍
I've been watching so many tiny home Villages videos and none of them seem to be on the East Coast so this is great we need more on the East Coast for people like me who might be considering tiny homes. You need to get the spot first in many instances. I live in Maryland and I wish there was something like this. And you have trees!. I do wish the houses were a little farther apart I couldn't live that close to someone where you can hear everything just a tiny bit more land or a tree in between would be fabulous
Yes! There’s a few coming soon communities posted. More to come as they get confirmed or new ones in the works. Here’s the site: tiny-estates.com/communities

Sounds like an awesome community to live , love the affortable housing how nice , esspecially love that you can try one out and if interested you can buy or rent WOW that is awesome . wish they had something like this in Ontario, Canada . Great work Abby .
Excellent video. I have seen you all before... but really like that this video explains so much. Love you that you all are planning on doing these in other states than PA.
Mailboxes should be more secure. In my apartment complex they are all together and postal carrier can unlock all at once then we each have individual keys that only opens our own box. Checks and other bills allow identity theft these days.
There is a tiny house on the property that is a dedicated mail center. All the mailboxes are in one place and packages are secure within the house. Take a look at it at 6:55
Retired with a husband who is fighting brain cancer. I know it has a short term life. I will be alone and don't want a large home. There is no such thing as a tiny home community. There are a lot of retirees in the area and home costs are soaring, we could use something like this here and I would love living in a tiny home.
Sorry to hear about your husband. Sounds like tiny living will be perfect for your future. Reach out on the Tiny Estates website and let them know where you would like to see them build their next community so it can be added to the list! tiny-estates.com/communities

Keep this up!👍
So happy for you!!
Wow, this is amazing. Great people in great homes in a great community.
Really a wonderful place to call home
It looks so tranquil and beautiful there.
It is!
So awesome 🎉
What a wonderful community 🙏💖🙏
It sure is!
Will there be a list of states where these new tiny home communities will located.? Hope Arkansas will be one.
Yes! There’s a few coming soon communities posted. More to come as they get confirmed or new ones in the works. Here’s the site: tiny-estates.com/communities
Great option for a home. Still like traditional homes as my first choice - nothing wrong with having space to move around.
Fascinating and motivating. Missouri needs to get on board.
This looks well done. Beautiful setting. ❤
❤❤❤ it's amazingly amazing
💕
What a great mission!! Loved this video ❣
Thank you! We love how much Abby & her team truly care about all they do 💗
I wish the Tulsa, Oklahoma area had something like this… I would totally live there if I could.
This is my dream come true! Sandpoint Idaho is in desperate need of affordable housing. I have five women including myself who all would like a place to put a tiny home! I’ll go to her website and get more interested parties. ❤
I like that she is planning to develop communities in other states for those looking for affordable housing 😊
Really exciting & much needed!
@@TinyHouseExpedition Bless 🙌🏽 you with your future endeavors
I want to live there. Best one I’ve seen next to Acony Bell in NC. I want to see the moon dance tiny home. That was gorgeous!
Sounds like an awesome community to live , love the affortable housing how nice , esspecially love that you can try one out and if interested you can buy or rent WOW that is awesome . wish they had something like this in Ontario, Canada . Great work Abby .
This is by far one of your best episode yet!
Ahh thank you! 🥰
Would have loved to see inside some of those tiny homes. 🙂

@@TinyHouseExpedition thanks! 😊
LOVE LOVE LOVE....❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Awesome & inspiring!! ❤
💗
Great video…this tiny community is really cool!
Thank you kindly!
Thank you
It’s great that there’s a mini post office of sorts which will keep UPS & FEDEX from driving wildly fast thru the quiet neighborhood.
Excellent point.
We don't have mail delivery.
@@ellen3sons How do residents get their mail? And do they have a legal address to use for things like a credit card or vehicle registration? Thanks.
Wonderfull presentation! A human scale development that foster interactions and a sense of community, that can suit a lot of isolated persons.
Well put 🙌✨👌
What are winters like in your area? I love the thought of a community, being part of something. You have done a wonderful job creating something special!
Cool property!!!
The state of Tennessee legislation just passed a bill making it easier for Tiny Home Communities in Tennessee. PLEASE consider the Knoxville area. Thank you
Nice project congratulations, I would love to live there wow, like me theres so many people that need something like that
So true 💗
wow, this is wonderful... great idea of the mail/laundry shed, thats a big help to everyone...love the little pig!!! I hope you do one in Clallam county WA!
really really love that you are greening and development your property - would hate to park my tiny home on spot that ends up looking like a KOA campgrounds - if this is a forever home development the trees shrubs flowers grass lawn etc etc are so very important - glad the wider community is excited to have you there 🙏🇨🇦 thnx for sharing 🙏🇨🇦
Happy to share! ☺️
I want to live there when I retire!!!!
